Picked up a pizza, it was cold. Being such a thin pizza, the cold makes it extra floppy and gross.

This was really a great experience the staff was welcoming and polite very comforting. The owner was amazing made great suggestions with food very compassionate about his work and the food was exactly what I needed and very reasonably priced I'm glad I wondered into this place. I will definitely be coming back . I just arrived back from Italy and while traveling Rome and Sorrento I had the pleasure of having great authentic pizzas, calamari , mussels, and fish fresh out the water. This Mediterranean owner pack a bunch of flavor into these delicate dishes and I'm impressed to say the least , great time great drinks great food and sports with an awesome staff you simply can't beat it check this place out , makes for great lunch and cocktail bar !! read more

Not quite what I expected on the inside for this iconic establishment. We sat ourselves and ordered two beers off the menu only to be told they were out of that beer. The waitress recommended another beer, we agreed. She came back and told us that they were out of THAT beer. We tried a third option, which they had. The beer was served ice cold and that was nice. The pizza is very good. There are no complaints about the food. But the service SUCKS. Seems to be very disorganized. As soon as you walk in you'll be confused as to what you should do. There's usually no one there to greet you and offer you a table. You'll probably stand there for about 6 minutes before someone acknowledges you. Your best bet is to order online for pickup. But again, the service is VERY bad so if you don't care about service, the food most DEFINITELY makes for lack there of. Very good food. It's a nice little chill spot that also has patio outdoor seating. No one would disturb you there not even the wait staff. BELIEVE ME. They'd probably forget you were there anyway until you try to skip out on the check. read more

We went to Buckhead Pizza on a Thursday night around 10 pm when most places were closing. We were grateful to find a place that was open and also had outdoor seating. It was quite windy, so we did end up sitting inside, but we felt comfortable since we were distanced from other tables and right by the open patio door. Our server was friendly, and we received our food quickly. We got a large cheese pizza, which was much larger than expected! We took most of it home, so next time we'll probably get a medium. We also got a Caesar salad and chicken tenders. We enjoyed all of it! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ambiance in the restaurant is so-so. We were seated near the bar, and there was a drunk person who was very loud. This same person came very close to our table after we got our food, and started commenting on our food with no mask on. This situation wasn't at the fault of the restaurant, and I think our server did a good job of interacting with the person. I think we will definitely return for a casual dinner, but it wouldn't be a place we'd go for a longer dinner experience. read more

I have actually never heard of Buckhead Pizza until today. I was attending a conference across the street at the Grand Hyatt, and went out to take a lunch break. I got in the car with the two Knights with me (Medieval Times), and we didn't even get the car out of park before I noticed we didn't even need to drive anywhere. We all got out of the car and walked over. It's not much looking at it from the outside (blends in with the building pretty well), but cool little spot inside. There is a screened in patio option and then booths and tables inside. It wasn't overly busy on this visit. We were seated right away and brought menu's. They offer many options besides pizza, and we weren't sure what to go with. They also have a bar with beer and wine, plus mixed drinks. I noticed they had personal pizzas ranging from $9 - $12, so we all decided on that. I got a cheese with pineapple and jalapeno, plus we ordered the traditional humus for all of us. The humus was VERY good, and I loved the pita bread they used for it, with flakes of parmesan sprinkled on top. The pita was warm, and part crisp/part soft. The personal pizza came out, and was perfect for somebody hungry. It had 6 decent slices and fairly thin crust. The ingredients tasted fresh, and big pieces of jalapenos and pineapple on top. I downed it fast, and really liked it. The service for this trip was good too. I didn't get a chance to try the beer options due to it being a work lunch, and not sure when I'll be back in this area to try it out again. The ONLY downside on this visit was the aftermath. My stomach didn't settle well with something I ate, and the other Knights felt it too. That wouldn't hinder me from coming back, but if it were to happen again, then that would cause concern. Nothing is worse than spending on food and it's trifling!! Ordered a personal pizza and it was decent but I wouldn't purchase it again. Stay far away from the chicken tenders and fries though! The chicken tenders were soggy and didn't taste done while the fries were very plain. Their ranch even tasted bitter like it was expired. Do not recommend this place at all, the price I paid for food don't match the quality! On the bright side the customer service was good!! read more

My flight got in later than expected to Atlanta so I was very hungry! Luckily, Buckhead Pizza was still open once I was all checked into my hotel. The man in the lobby recommended it so I walked over. It's a cute little place sat among a bunch of corporate offices so I'm sure they see good business during the day. It was pretty late so they weren't very busy. However, they only had one person working (that I saw) the tables and there were at least 5 tables cycling in and out. She seemed a little new or stressed out. She was so friendly though. Service was a little slow but I can't fault her for that if a manager sent everyone home. I tried the garlic knots (with mozzarella) and the chicken pesto flatbread. The garlic knots were good but getting the extra mozzarella wasn't worth it. It was mainly piled on one of the knots. There was a Yelp coupon for a discount on appetizers which is why I decided to go all in. The flatbread was good. Nothing special but hit the spot. I tried a local beer and I was shocked that it was $8 a pint. Mind you, I am from California so it shouldn't be a shock but I can go to a pizza place here and grab a local beer for less. All in all, I was happy to have food and a nice beer at the end of a long travel day. If you're looking for a late-night eat in Buckhead, it's not a bad option. read more

My family and I were staying in a nearby hotel and called in an order for pick up. When we arrived, we were directed to the bar area for "to go" orders. .....and this is where things went waaaaayyy negative....The bartender was chatting with two guests at the bar. She had just made a drink for one of them. She continued to chat, not even acknowledging us, and 5 minutes later, we politely said, "Excuse us, are we in the right area for pickup?" She looked at us, rolled her eyes, and said, "If you called in an order for Buckhead Pizza, then you would pick it up at the bar. If you called some other pizza place, I have no idea where you'd go." -------- YUP, she actually responded in that rude and ugly a manner. I no longer wanted the pizza. I told my shocked cousins to let's just leave, speak with someone in charge on the way out, and go find some Chinese takeout. My cousins were exhausted from our day and said let's just get it and then submit our reviews about the horrible customer service. I just sat at the bar and let them work it out because I was truly ready to tell rude bartender lady off. One of my cousins told her, "I'd like to pay for our order, please." The bartender looked away, chatted with two bar guests for another 5 minutes...., and then came over for my cousin's card. She didn't say one word while swiping her card for the order --- other than to ask what name the order was under. After paying, the order came out from the kitchen. On the way out, I asked one of the waiters if a manager was available, and was told that one would be back in about 1/2 hour. We could not wait that long since other family members were waiting for the pizza back at the hotel. I tasted 1/2 slice of the pizza and that was plenty for me. The taste did not live up to the cost, and it certainly tasted as though it came from a place of poor customer service. The rest of my family agreed that it was better than Pizza Hut, but not really good. This place is too close to so many hotels to not have excellent customer service. THE FOOD IS WHY THIS PLACE IS GETS TWO STARS. I ordered the Caesar Salad and Fettuccine Alfredo. The lettuce in my salad was not fresh at all and not very crunchy ‼ The salad had more salt and flavor than the fettuccine‼ The Alfredo sauce was very bland and runny. We had to use lots of salt and pepper. The meal also came out lukewarm. We aren't the type of people to send food back. So, we took it as a loss and just paid the $17 for the tasteless pasta. Don't get me started on the chicken that was on the pasta either...it seemed non existent. The only upside was that everything came with one garlic knot on the side The people there are nice and the atmosphere was cozy... So, it's a bummer that the food was bad. Just wow is all I can say. I am visiting Georgia as part of a work outing with 9 other people. We are staying at the hotel directly across the street from this place. I went in around 4 by myself to hopefully make a short notice reservation. Stood there in a practically empty establishment for just about 10 minutes until someone finally approached me (it was the server in the MLK basketball jersey, whom will be relevant later on as well). I asked if it was possible to seat 10 at 7 or 7:30, she said "You don't need to make a reservation, just come in" kinda odd that they wouldn't want to prepare for a 10 top? Maybe it's because they didn't prepare at all. Got there at about 715 only to stand there for another 10 minutes with my group of 10 in what was once again, not busy. Server walked by us twice and then someone said they'd be there in a minute. Finally get sat at two very dirty tables (old food and oil/butter) that they pushed together. It was wiped down within a couple minutes, but what a start, huh? It took our server (who was less than pleasant) 20+ minutes for the drinks to hit the table, but I cut some slack based on the fact that we were a larger party. It only went downhill from here. We ordered two orders of the Garlic Knots. Our server just dropped the apps in the middle of the table with no side plates or additional napkins other than the one linen the silverware was rolled in. Butter and Parmesan everywhere. Then comes our main course, some of them were good, some of them were mediocre, and some of them were hairy, literally. There was a long hair in one of the salads served to the table (refer to photo). The server came out, saw it, and got the manager/owner who did take it off the table and remake it, though it was a little to late as we had a meeting to attend shortly after our dinner. While waiting, almost all of our drinks (served in styrofoam cups) were empty, our server wasn't to be found and didn't bother to ask if anyone wanted a refill AT ANY POINT. So, we asked the other server (basketball jersey server) for some refills, and she told us to just ask our server because she's busy... wow. What awesome customer service? I understand you might be busy, but learn how to talk to people and maybe go let your coworker in the back know? Now I do understand that larger party's often have an automatic gratuity, but the unmitigated gall for them to keep the hairy salad on the bill and then expect to be tipped on said salad is baffling, not to mention unacceptable in most establishments. To end our wonderful experience, as my group was leaving, a couple people from the party trailed behind only to see the basketball jersey server roll her eyes at the rest of us as we walked out. The potential for this business is there, the execution is not. Just by simply having polite and attentive people working here, or really just your employees doing the bare minimum of their job could've turned this review around despite the hair. In fact, I wouldn't even have written one, but here we are. This place is in desperate need of different (not more, but different) staff or some serious re-training. I won't be back for various reasons, one of them being I don't live around here, but I really hope that management looks at this review and makes certain that the future guests are treated with the decency they deserve, and pay for. read more

Just happened to stop in on a Sunday afternoon and I must admit I was pretty underwhelmed by this place. Walking in I could immediately tell this place was dead but it took several minutes for someone to acknowledge us and several more minutes to get us seated. It looked as though there were maybe two people including the manager. Anyway, we decided to sit out at the bar in enclosed patio was pretty nice. The bartender seemed to be handling allllll the tables so I felt a little sorry for her and I was really just wondering where the other staff members were. I'll give it to her - she was working maybe 7 different tables and handle people who were picking up carryout but of course the time to wait to be served was sacrificed. I will say the actual pizza was pretty good. You can order various personal pizzas which come with maybe 6 slices for under $10 and add extra toppings if you'd like. It was prettt greasy but good and cooked just the way I like. There menu has the normal salads, calzones, pizzas and apps such as mozzarella sticks and spinach dip with most prices stating about $8 and going up to about $20+. The mediocre service just realllllly didn't move me to rate this place any higher. read more

Tonight, dinner with one of my most dear friends. Already a good plan. New place? Even better plan!! We chose Buckhead Pizza and it was a great pick!! A little awkward to get into, though the valet is complimentary, but worth the "effort." So, how was the pizza, you ask? Can't tell ya. We did not order any (though I had/have my eye on their white pizza - thank God they don't add crazy stuff like sun-dried toms, etc . . . they are purists per the menu with just mozz, ricotta, oregano and basil - and maybe The Ted like our neighbors had: pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon and ground beef - um, yeah, I like meat and theirs smelled SO good!). What we did have was very good calamari - they happily accommodated my request for mainly, ie all, rings not tentacles - and the marinara and slightly spicy "Cajun mayonnaise" were yummy . . . and the hummus!! Now, hear me out: maybe an odd second choice (instead of a small pizza to share) but our server recommended it and she was so right!! It was the perfect texture, and had chopped (and slightly sauteed) tomatoes in the center of the serving dish, and these amazing toasted pita strip thingies, that were lightly coated with Parmesan. Delicious. Good wine list. Great live music - where else have I heard Three Doors Down, Tom Petty, Spin Doctors, and more great covers done - and did I mention I'm writing this review while still at the restaurant?? This place was right across the street from my hotel, so I gave it a shot. The place was decent, TVs for you sports fans, a nice bar and the staff was very friendly (our server Maxine was perfect). We tried a medium "Buckhead" pizza. The pizza was an average size for a medium (8 slices), but what made it extra special were the ingredients: very fresh, finely chopped, and the crust is brushed with fresh garlic oil that adds not only big garlic flavor, but it gives the crust a perfect crunch. Soooooo good. In fact, the next evening I found myself alone for dinner - guess where I went back to? Yep, this time I got the "Terminus" pizza (pesto chicken with white garlic sauce, red bell peppers, artichoke hearts - see picture). Amazing!!! If I lived near here, I would go all the time! My only criticism was my table smelled of bleach (which tells you it is clean, but it was a little much - would prefer a scented cleaner). I ordered 12 jumbo wings......what small baby chicken fetus did the last 4 wings come from? Had to order via door dash because the restaurant refused to answer the phone.
