I want them to look like people have been coming there so long and so often, that they don't have the time to get a new sign or paint job. You can't eat off this floor anyway, cuz it's outside dining only. Outside dining only means a good, old fashioned type of joint your grandpa used to take you after the AYSO game. This is a place to get a greasy burger and fries and feel good about being in historic downtown Oxnard, amongst the people of the streets. No indoor seating? Good. I wanna talk to this guy who looks like he was flying the autogyro in "Road Warrior". I got a double chili burger with fries and a drink for around $5. Tell ya what...that burger rocked. Sure it may not be the biggest burger ever, but something about it was super tasty. Pretty sure it was the chili they make with chorizo. mmmmm. I've had the regular burger too. Everytime I pass thru Oxnard, I will have 1/2 doz chili dogs,I know,i Know sounds like a glutton,but I only get there once every 10-15 yrs. Oh Buddy Burger! The perfect definition of a Hole in the Wall Burger Joint. There is something refreshing about a place that still does things the old school way. They take down your order on a note pad and shout out the orders to the cooks. There is only outside seating behind the restaurant and you either have to wait in the car or stand outside for your order. Not the most convenient for those that are used to sitting some where with Wi-Fi and aTV, but like a mentioned earlier it's refreshing to do something old school every now and then. I ordered a Double Cheese w Beacon and Large Fries. Absolutely Delicious. They actually spread the mustard on the bun with a brush so you don't get random blobs like at other places. You can also watch them make your burger as all their burgers are made across the ordering window. If you've never stopped and had a Buddy Burger (Burger) I highly recommend the stop. It's not in the nicest area but it's something refreshing from all the traditional fast food burger restaurants. read more

Food is pretty good. Points for a toasted bun, points for a good quality burger that doesn't leave you feeling ugh afterward. Overall, it was a good meal from a local place. Been going here for years great place to eat get it to go neighborhood isn't that great but in the daytime you should be fine. Don't expect to get just one burger because they're rather small expect to go there to buy multiple burgers and taste what you like. Those fries have some type of special ingredient in them that make them very tasty. Not sure how fresh they are but very tasty. Then if you're a soda drinker get the Pepsi from the fountain awesome. The negative is the service, the females are not very attentive or friendly. But with A Burger or Wins and with me near Burger King, Carls n McDonald's hey...I use to drive from Port Hueneme to get a WIMPY'S Burger sorry I am old school but it didn't survive the great transition for these taste buds...my favorite was the double Burger with mustard mayo n Granny Goose Barbecue potato chips!
