    Not fully charged.   I had to ask this to be noted because we were told we had to return fully charged or pay fee.

    So we made a reservation even prepaid There's a little bit of a line but not unreasonable wait although I think there should be a express line for those prepaid. We exit to pick up our car. It wasn't very organized. The car reserved was not available so we were told either take an electric vehicle or some other car that was pointed to. To be fair, there only appeared one guy working in the garage area. it was just weird that we were told that what we reserved wasn't available and no other cars with these two more people are coming. This was about noontime and only one person to assist renters! Anyway, we decided to try the electric car mostly because it was by Subaru and I like Subarus. we get into the car and notice it's not fully charged and we tell the guy. Now remember, we're supposed to return it fully charged or pay fee. He says oh they must not have gotten it. Just take a picture and tell him when you return it. I also noticed there is a hole like a cigarette burn on the consul in the middle. I point that out and basically the same thing. None of this is noted when we pick up the car. Upside the car worked fine for us. I have no idea if the pricing is same. Somehow the $25 a day insurance and ended up being $83 I do want to stress I don't think the person in the garage was being rude. I think he was probably just swamped. He was the only person I saw trying to get people into cars. Next trip I think I'll try a different agency though. I just felt like flying coach was a luxury compared to this experience

    I was super nervous after reading all the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything went. We rented a minivan mid Oct from here since it was not available as a selection at other Budgets. Pickup the day of was super smooth, car was available at the exact quoted price. Car was clean, fully fueled, tire treads also good, maintenance was just done with 80% remaining with total of 16k miles. The return was equally smooth, just hopped out, mileage and gas noted and was sent the receipt. One thing to note about the rental return entrance at SJC, it will seem like you've missed the rental return entrance because you'll need to circle around the airport one time but you will loop around on the left side to return the car

    One. Representative. Here. On. A. Saturday. Avoid if you have a schedule.... Time is money, and money is time. If you need to save time, then don't try to book here to save money. Not worth it

    Really nice car and easy return process. The wait to rent could have been better but overall a very good experience.

To be honest, I was running late due to coming out of town and came just as the location was closing. Brandon was there and was just SO wonderful! He stayed late to help me, and when I thanked him, he said that he was happy to stay for as long as anyone needed him, and that really stood out to me. He also could have done the easy thing and provided me with an older mini-van that was closer to the office, but rather, he took it upon himself to run around and find a newer model for us... even though he should have closed up shop by then! He was very kind, answered all of my questions with a great deal of patience, and I never felt rushed or like a burden. It can be hard with such a busy location to maintain that kind of compassion and thoughtfulness--he is such a gem and really takes pride in his work. When I returned my car, I checked in with the staff, and they were also so incredibly kind and caring. Even in our brief minute or two of interaction, I could tell that they were really trying to find ways to keep their customers happy. Overall, I had a really great experience -- great selection of cars, and great customer service!

The service was fine, very nice, helpful agents, but only 2 behind the counter and I was at least 10th in line! My Fiancé ended up paying $20 for parking his car in the stupid parking garage, as he waited for me to get my rental car! Ughhhh! At least I got the rental car, SUV- Tucson, Hyundai I wanted. I know there's never a grantee on car rentals, but one can HOPE and cross your fingers and toes! Hee I'm only giving 3 out of 5 because it took me 45 mins to GET the paperwork on my car, which I couldn't register ahead of time, since I got my rental through Priceline.com and then once upstairs, it took me another 15 mins to actually GET my rental..... I guess they ran out of clean cars... mine was soaking wet, but I know she was CLEAN! Hee. Oh- I ended up extending my rental and the original price was lower that week versus the continued week.... So that was a bit more on my wallet.....

(Highly recommend NOT doing this because…read moremaking changes to a rental becomes impossible) When I went to go check in at the airport, my car wasn't available (they were all booked out) I then had to pay for an upgrade to get a similar car. Everything started off as a nightmare because the car we had picked up and paid extra for, broke down on me within the first hour of me leaving the airport. I went back to the agency and luckily a gentleman by the name of Izzi was there to take over my case at this point and put me into the vehicle of my dreams! A beautiful new Volvo! Thank goodness for this because My dream vacation was starting to look like it was turning into a nightmare. Izzi was able to turn everything around And turn what was starting to look like a nightmare into a dream vacation. Luckily too when I returned the vehicle, Izzi was there to greet me and make check out a breeze. Thank You Izzi! Sixt is lucky to have you on their team. :)

The rental itself went smoothly, and the vehicle was returned on time and inspected by an employee who confirmed everything was fine at check-in. There were no issues raised at the time of return. 7 Weeks later long after I had returned the car I received a damage claim alleging that there was damage to the vehicle along with administrative fees, and additional charges in the amount of over $1500. The funny part is that the inspection that was performed 7 week after I had returned the vehicle and 800 miles away from my return location. This has to be the biggest scam ever, think about how many customers they do this to. Sure they offer low rental fees but now I see why, as a customer, this is extremely concerning. Once I returned the car and it was inspected and accepted at return, I reasonably expect the transaction to be finished. Receiving a significant bill 7 weeks later, is just unacceptable. I strongly recommend that anyone renting from Sixth rental car, also if you do rent, make sure to document the vehicle carefully at pickup and return and make sure they sign that there was no damages to the vehicle., also take photos and video, and keep all records even after the rental is closed. Would be zero stars if Yelp allowed it.

    I reserved a vehicle through your company for a recent short trip. The price was very reasonable,…read moreand I was originally quite impressed with your customer service when I called in to modify my rental timing. However, a serious concern arose on our way back. I noticed a dashboard alert indicating that the rear driver-side tire was about 7 PSI lower than the others. I pulled over at the nearest gas station to inspect it for puncture damage. While I didn't see any fresh punctures, I did notice an old patch located near the sidewall. My brother, who is a mechanic, informed me that patching a tire near the sidewall is unsafe and makes the vehicle hazardous to drive. When I returned the car this morning, I pointed out the patch to the representative, raised my safety concerns, and recommended that the tire be replaced before the vehicle is rented to the next customer. Instead of acknowledging the safety issue, he immediately asked me to fill out a report and claimed the car did not have a patch on it when it was rented to me. This was incredibly frustrating, as the patch blended in so well that he wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't pointed it out. I mentioned to him that since I purchased the insurance package, liability wasn't my concern; I was bringing this up purely out of a dispute for the safety of your future customers. Fortunately, I spoke with a manager before leaving. She assured me that she would pull the car into the shop immediately to have the tire replaced due to the sidewall damage. My frustration with the staff stems from their unnecessary accusations and complete lack of accountability. I have video and photos taken prior to the trip. I pointed out a major safety flaw, only to end up being treated like the wrongdoer. While the insurance I purchased covers the tires, being blamed for damage I did not cause is entirely wrong. Furthermore, it is completely unacceptable to rent out a vehicle that could potentially put customers in harm's way.
