This is an update on my first review (3 stars). I've been going here a lot more and it's turning into one of my favorite casual places to grab a bite to eat in Raleigh (LAKE BOONE TRAIL LOCATION). The more sports bar type places I eat at, the more this one stands out. I know this makes me sound like a five-year-old, but the chicken tenders are amazing -- homemade, super crispy, NOT frozen). And their ribs are better than the ribs at Backyard Bistro. The pizza is also really good, the service is good, and they have a "loyalty" program that earns $$ off your next meal. If I'm nit-picking about something it'd be that they don't cook their fries long enough. They have crinkle-cut fries (MY FAVE!) but they aren't cooked crispy. Crisp up the fries, yo! When I see horrible 1-star screeds against this place, it makes me think they may be from competitors who don't like competition moving into this part of town (Lake Boone Trail area) because this place is way better than Edwards Mill Bar & Grill or that Barking Cow place on Wycliff. So take those with a grain of salt. I have probably eaten here 20+ times and never had a bad meal -- I actually like it more and more every time I go. read more

Not trying to be mean but these are the Worst wings in raleigh. Small, burnt, tasteless.

For a sports bar, I found the food at Buffalo Brothers to be pretty good. After eating here a few times, I am ready to give it four stars. We most recently visited last night and I really enjoyed my burger (pretty sure I have gotten a burger every time I have eaten here). I had the burger with pepper jack and jalapenos and Josh got a burger with bacon and swiss. We were both satisfied with our choices - the burgers were very large and very moist. Mine was too big for me to finish. The fries were okay, not great, but the burger made up for it. We've been here a couple of times before. While I have not had the wings personally, my dad and brother both ordered them on one occasion (hot) and said they were good. They wanted to try the hottest flavor, but our waiter discouraged this, saying that you had to sign a waiver to eat those wings. He did, however, bring out a sample of the sauce for the hottest wings, which was a nice touch. They have good drink specials here nightly, including 2.75 for all draft beers (including Guinness) on Tuesdays. I would have ordered one of their $5 martinis myself last night if we had not just stopped into to Bottle Revolution a few stores down! It seems like a great place to watch games (we have been here before heading to Hurricanes games in the past) and we will probably visit again to watch some NCSU or Hurricanes games this season. There are tons of TVs and lots of bar space. Buffalo Brothers is good for families too, as there were a lot of kids there when we were eating dinner last night! Ok, myself, my wife, and my daughter got lucky and caught this spot open right before closing. I mean the guy behind the bar was counting Green backs! Not gonna lie, we order about four things which included a veggie pizza and drinks -- not to mention the order was to go. To make a novel into a pamphlet, the CustomerService was phenomenal and the food was outstanding. And the best part their attitudes were extremely gracious like were their first customers of the day. Awful. Our table ate only half of the food we bought and we have spent the last 24 hours having various levels of food poisoning thanks to some really questionable chicken. Wait staff was great though. So at least we got our diarrhea with a smile. read more

This place is probably one of, if not THE worst establishments I've ever given my business too. For starters, I ordered take out and my wing flavor (along with my colleagues) was completely wrong. Like so wrong the wings weren't even a bit spicy and we ordered the spiciest type. Fries were trash too. Anyways, I gave the place a call and they told me to "piss off"....literally. Fast forward and admittedly I went back only for beer with some friends and the DOOR was locked at 8:20.....40 full minutes before official close. Great wings with great flavor. It's not trendy frough-frough flavors, its more traditional weeks. We go on a weekend during the day and it's never a madhouse. IF you like good wings Buffalo style, you won't be dissappointed. read more

First time at Buffalo Brothers and it was just O.K. I arrived early and chat-ed with the hostess who was very pleasant to talk to. We were shown to our seat quickly and the waiter came to our table right away and gave a few of his favorites on the menu. He did not smile the whole time we were there. Within minuets of ordering our food came out to the table very promptly. The salads were very good the wings were just so-so. The menu says they take pride in having the largest wings, but my wings were small. I can name 3 other places with larger wings. The menu had many salads, sandwiches, pizzas and burgers besides wings. I might try something else next time I go back. They do have a nice outdoor patio which will be nice in the summer evenings. Fairly good! Our waiter was great. Ordered some chicken tenders & different appetizers. The fried mozzerella is good (comes as a slab not sticks) and the chicken was tender with good sauces. I liked it, not sure if I would really want to come back, but if I am in the area I would consider it & the service was excellent. read more

RIBS: the bones just slid out, sauce so good I dipped my fires in it and contemplated using as tooth brush Artichoke dip: creamy, nice balance of flavors, they could have made a better choice of their chips or have them a bit fresher. Food is about what you would expect at a sports bar like this. Decent food, no complaints. The best part is the outdoor seating and how dog friendly they are. They are very welcoming to my little dog and brings him his own water bowl and makes him feel special. :-) read more

I've been to other Buffalo Brother locations and have had good experiences but this place is the worst Buffalo Brothers location I've ever been to. According to Buffalo Brothers website this location is supposed to close at 1am on week nights and 2am on the weekends. I get off work late as a GM and I wanted to get their Mac and cheese pizza. The first time I went there after checking the website and it saying they closed at 1am, but once I got there I see a sign posted on the door that they closed at 12! No where was this sign posted anywhere but on the door after I drove out of my way to eat there just to find out they were closed. The second time I went after now knowing they close at 12 I found out that they have a "late night menu" which I was unaware of and have never seen at the other buffalo brother locations. What makes it worse is not only did the selection of food suck on their late night limited menu but we weren't served or addressed for quite a while after sitting at the bar. read more

Lunchtime was here and decided to give this place a shot as I have always seen it when going to Guasaca nextdoor... The place looks really good for Sporting Events as the place is huge and plenty of TV's... Service - A: our server was very good, she was extremely attentive and was always on top of things... I really wish this place didn't have such bad food and service because they have a great setup and patio. I was a server so I want to help support restaurants, but when you're slow there's no excuse for bad service. Discovered buffalo brothers a few weeks ago and have made 5+ trips there for takeout. I have nothing but good stuff to say about the staff and the punctuality of the orders! Food is always ready to go and hot! The wings are very good and I like all the sauces I've tried (highly recommend the honey jalepeno!). The one thing I'd say is lacking is the sides. We've tried several sides and they're all not great...fries are crinkle cut and bland, the homemade chips are hard and have waaaay too much cajun seasoning on them, the Mac and cheese....woof do yourself a favor and don't get the Mac and cheese...I feel the sides are really the only thing holding this place back! This was my first time here: I was super excited to try there banana berry frozen colada, however was let down when I was told that one was not available yet, so why would you put it on the menu then? So I settled for another one the ćafe colada, disgusting in my opion. However they did rectify the situation by giving me another drink, food was good, service was fast and friendly, not bad pricing, TV's everywhere. Will definitely come back. read more

The service here is horrible and it took 10 minutes to be greeted by a hostess and 10 minutes to be greeted by our server who couldn't even remember our original drinks. We will see how the food comes out but as far as I concerned I would not recommend this place to anyone considering they are dead and can't keep up with the customers so I would hate to see them when they are busy based off the horrible service we have had so far. read more

There's really not much to say about Buffalo Brothers except that I would equate it to the Toyota Camry of sports bars. It has a alcohol, flat screens and a typical bar menu. This bar covers all the bases but has no soul and anybody that has driven a Camry knows what I'm talking about. Unfortunately these types of places are way too common in Raleigh. read more

Went here for lunch after an appointment in the area. Hostess wasn't very pleasant and not dressed in what I would call lunch appropriate work clothing - but whatever. Were seated and our waitress was very nice. Got our daughters meal out first (yay). Their kids grilled cheese was actually really good - on texas toast too. Both my husband and I got the lunch burger. Wasn't anything spectacular but it was $6. A pretty decent size for lunch too - I didn't eat it all. Service was quick and with a smile. Would come back for dinner and maybe explore more of their menu, but we were looking for quick in & out and this delivered. read more

This is one of those places that's fine for what it is, but isn't all that great. If you look at it as a sports bar, it's just fine. I ordered a salad when I went there that came with some boneless wings on top. The bartender was nice enough to help me with a sauce recommendation, since the sauce I initially ordered apparently was pretty bad. So thanks to her for that. The beer selection was OK for a sports bar like this - they had quite a few beers on tap and a few decent options, but nothing terribly awesome. Not exactly a craft beer destination. I'd be OK heading back here if needed, but this certainly isn't a destination I'd bother seeking out. read more

It's what you order that makes this place. There've been one or two items on the menu which I thought were just blah...but here are my all time faves and the reason I keep coming back to this place time and time again: 1) Hot and Sweet wings. Their wings are small, which is seriously how I like them. It has more flavor that way and there is an higher skin to meat (I'm a huge skin fan) ratio. The hot wings (without the sweet) was just okay. So defintely put one their flavors to your hot wings. 2) Jalapeno poppers. These are not the regular breaded and deep fried popper that you can get on most restaurants. These poppers are so much more and are utterly addicting. Beware, however, the "hotness" very much depends on the fresh jalapenos they use. Sometimes, it's REALLY hot, but most times, it's just perfect :) In addition to those two favorite dishes, I love the fac that this place is dog friendly! Bring your canine companion and be seated in their patio! They even have doggie bowls for man's best friend to quench his thirst during the hot months! read more

This place is great for after work! Their spinach and artichoke dip is delicious with their flat bread. The BEST thing is the specials they have on Wednesdays. My coworker and I come here for "wind down Wednesdays" and they have their house wines for only $3.75! We were stoked when we found this out..not to mention it taste pretty good!!!! read more

I loved this place when it first opened. It's close to PNC Arena, so we'd grab wings and beers before NC State games, or we'd just swing by to catch some Monday Night Football. I've been twice in the last week, and wow, has this place gone downhill. Specifically, the service is lackluster at best. My wife and I stopped by Saturday night, and the bartender had little/no interest in helping us. This was a first for me, considering good bar service is a no-brainer and the key to a good tip. But she had more important things to do than take care of us. Then my buddy and I stopped by last night after the soccer game at Wake Med Park. We tried to go to the Oak a few doors down (bourbon bar), but it was closed, so we hit BB. Although we had a different bartender, the service was the same! She had absolutely no interest in helping us. We had to flag her down to order beers, then flag her down to order wings, then flag her down to pay our check. Each time we tried to get her attention, it was clear we were bothering her. Worth noting - even though the service was terrible, the wings were great. Maybe this has turned into a good takeout option? Regardless, it's clear the culture has changed, and I won't be back. We mostly sit at the bar...the service is great friendly bartenders. Never have to wait long for orders it's also a great place to catch a game. Althought they have a standard menu they do have monthly specials which is a nice change up. I've enjoyed their Buffalo Wing Dip (just like the dip I make for parties), Wings of course (Garlic Parmesan & Sesame Chicken!), My favorite sandwichs are the Italian Club Sandwich, Turkey Reuben & "Tommy's" All American. I was not a fan of the Super Club Sandwich probably b/c of the Texas toast! Love Love Love their homemade chips! The Meat Lovers pizza is very tasty. First time dining at this restaurant with my wife and 2 daughters. Ordered 10 wings and requested 5 with one type of sauce, 5 with another. Was told I could not have it like I wanted even if I paid extra (WTF?) I told the waiter I wasn't going to order anything, I was visibly pissed!! My wife and girls ordered and the waiter left the table.
