I made an order on their app and they couldn't change it from boneless to traditional after I had placed the order. It was a mistake and they couldn't fix it because of "inventory". Not sure why it's not a simple fix on their end. I'm allergic to eggs so I wouldn't have been able to eat boneless wings. The man we kept talking to kept saying "his manager" wouldn't be able to fix it... when we asked to speak to the manager he said he's the manager... Worse dining experience ever. Went here after the fair in Orange County. There were 4 of us in the our party. My daughters burger came out first 15 minutes later my wife's chicken tenders came out 10 minutes later my order came out and it was wrong. 10 minutes later my other daughters food came out a wrap sandwich. 20 minutes later my corrected order came out. I asked our server for forks and napkins and never got them. I ended up getting up and getting them myself. After we were done waited 35 minutes to pay the bill. Overall was there over 2 hours. First time I came here on Super Bowl Sunday it was great, but the second time I came, not so good. We had to wait quite a bit to be seated and it wasn't busy. I ordered a Bloody Mary, fried pickles and a Cobb salad. Then ordered my daughters food and finally the boyfriend ordered. The bf ordered some boneless wings with 4 different flavors. When the food came he only got 3 flavors which was surprising because the waitress read the flavors he ordered back to us, yet they still came wrong. Then I look at my salad and it's not a cobb. I go to the waitress and tell her my order was wrong. She seemed annoyed. 10 minutes pass by and I finally get my right order, but it's missing ingredients that the menu said a cobb salad would have...bacon. That salad was around $13! Proceeded to wait for an hour, not being asked once if we wanted anything to drink. Then one of the employees was casually chatting as though nobody were here with another table, not even offering an apology or an explanation. A group at the long table--there before us--didn't look like they had been served either. Not even to mention that none of the tables had been bussed. What a disappointment, went for dinner last night. I ordered the 6 traditional wings ($10.79) not cheap and my wife ordered the 6 boneless wings. Also we ordered the pretzels knots, they were pretty good. It went down hill from there. Our wings , mine were ok even though the carrots were the itty bitty ones and celery was not bigger than a pencil. Then my wife's order came, 6 pieces of broken pieces of "chicken" the biggest one was as big as my little finger down to the smallest one as big as a nickel... We asked the waitress to see the manager, no one came... I asked the bartender to see the manager...on one came we asked the waitress again for the manager, finally the waitress came back and said the manager wants to see the problem. The waitress took the plate to the manager, we thought they were going to make a new order, but no..The manager actually came to our table put the same dish down in front of my wife and said" I passed this around to the other managers and they all said some pieces are big and some are small" so they were going to do nothing ,,WTH All my wife wanted was to add 1 or 2 pieces of real chicken and she would have been happy, but Nooo, After they passed her dish around out of sight from us to who knows how many people, they dropped it in front of her. And started to walk away. I said take it off our bill and give me the check, never again to return You would think that a place called Buffalo Wings would be proud of the product they sell and have real pieces of chicken. Managers name was "Liz" and needs more training on how to handle customers. I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years and don't remember a time where I have been where the help had so little knowledge of the menu and how to handle customer service I pity the people that just put up with the crap they are selling as food. We came here on Sunday to watch football. When we walked in it was a little slow but you could see the staff was running because they were so short staffed. I will say our bartender Nina was so friendly and kept her cool when the restaurant began to become busy. Zack and Moe were also the servers I don't think I have seen 3 people work so hard to try and make the guest happy. We as customers need to understand these workers are doing all they can being short staffed. You guys keep up the great work. read more

I LOVE BWW!! But today was the worst experience ever!! We ordered wings! I ordered my usual, 10 piece, ALL DRUM, mango habanero and got BBQ. My friend ordered a 10 piece ALL FLATS hot. And some drinks. About 25 minutes after ordering server came out. Said, we can not offer ALL DRUM or ALL FLATS, because of COVID-19 reduction on chicken supply. We offered to PAY EXTRA! Server said no, still not an option. At the same time she brought our drinks. We said, "I do not want flats" my friend said "I do not want drums." We were told, to bad. We asked for the manager. Manager came out and we explained the situation.. He confirmed because of low chicken supply they could not honor our request. We said, "okay, fair enough we will leave we do not want to be forced to eat wings we do not like, and are a little confused why we were not told this in advance, and do do not want our drinks. Manager said okay, we understand. And so, we left. Without consuming anything. No food or alcohol. To our bad luck, my gf forgot her ID and credit card. We got a call about 15 minutes later to come back for our credit card and ID. We really appreciate the fact that they called us back. However, upon arrival. We were told we had an unpaid bill. We were told we drank all of our drinks. THIS WAS A LIE!!!!! The manager, saw that we didn't not drink even a drop of our drinks. Furthermore, we told them to check the cameras!! Nonetheless, the server who initially helped us said, "they drank ALL their drinks. We pushed back, as this was a lie. The manager saw that we did not touch our drinks! AND, we asked them to check the cameras. After a long debate, BWW finally, reluctantly, agreed to accept the fact that we didn't not drink our drink, and did not consume anything. They finally gave us our ID's and credit card. Again, WE LOVE BWW!! We typically go to the BWW at the outlets in Orange, Mall of Orange and in Brea. We will never go to the Costa Mesa location again! Every Buffalo Wild Wings establishment experience I've been to has been outstanding......before coming to the Newport Mesa location. We came to dine in during a sporting event and there was a wait...ok that's fine and totally understandable. We gave them or number and walked around while we waited. We received a text and as we walked back to the location the hostess tells us they gave our table AWAY!!! Literally gave our table away in 4 minutes what poor hospitality. They told us they were sorry and would put our group first on the list. As we waited we saw them sit several different groups and also saw the hostesses eating food as they walked around. One of the waitressess was sloppy and sat down while she took our order; she got our order wrong; and she was too busy talking with other guests to close us out. Absolutely awful and management needs to cOme down and train this group on how significant customer service is. read more

Avoid this store at all costs! It had been about 6 months since I last had the classic staple consisting of wings, fries and beer. I decided to hit BWW for my birthday and treat myself; huge mistake on my part. I visited the store on Saturday morning at 11 am; right at opening time. Upon arrival, there were a couple of other people in the establishment sipping on beer. For some reason, the one day I decided to come to BWW for my birthday, management decided to understaff the restaurant for a Saturday morning. Shortly after my arrival, a number of cliques and families arrived for food and beverages. The bartender was by herself with only a food delivery person on hand to take people eating-in their orders. There were no other servers during my time in the restaurant. While I sympathize with the bartender for having to manage the bar and floor by herself with no help, it is not my fault that management understaffed the store on a Saturday. I had ordered a large side of fries to go with my wings. I never received my fries, yet the cliques in the restaurant who ordered fries received theirs. I finally stopped the bartender who passed by my table for my fries. She said she would check to see if they were ready. That is B.S. Do not insult my intelligence. You wrote down my fries on my order, but somehow the kitchen missed it or you just ignored me because I am an irrelevant single person. I waited another 15 minutes and finally received my fries, but only had about 4 wings left to eat. No apology from the bartender for the blow-off and misnomer, just a "We're Busy!" for the retort after I waited over 30 minutes for my side of fries. The only thing that this visit to BWW proved to me is that cliques matter and single people are irrelevant. Perhaps because servers are more likely to get higher amount of tips for higher groups of people justifies sweeping single people under the carpet. Despite the lackluster service and lack of empathy from the server, I still tipped her a hundred dollars in cash as an irrelevant single person. I understand what it is like to run a store on a weekend with no staff. I will be finding another restaurant chain in the future to have wings, fries and beer. But who cares? BWW will have plenty of cliques to keep them busy and generate revenue. read more

The rating says it all. Although this location is beautiful and clean, there are a lot of issues. Went here on Superbowl Sunday to watch the 2nd half of the game and have some dinner. We waited about 10 minutes for a table at the bar to be cleaned off when the hostess suggested she seats us in the dining area which to me was a good start to the experience. Sat down and quickly was attended to by our server who engaged in some funny, but now ironic banter. I basically suggested my boyfriend get a 22 ounce drink because I don't want him to complain about waiting for a refill, our server makes a joke about how I was criticizing his service before he could even serve us. Again, I liked the banter - a good start. We ordered a large order of wings, potato wedges and slaw. I was disappointed when the wings came out alone, and I was like "It's fine, lets have a few while we wait for the slaw" - We got about 6 wings and 10 minutes in, and they were COLD at this point when I realized that the rest of our order wasn't coming. I told my boyfriend I didn't want it at all at this point. So i'm waiting for the server, he's standing and watching the superbowl while all of his neglected tables wait for items (table next to me complained about their issues as well) - He comes by and says "Everything good here?" and I'm like "Well, no. The rest of our food isn't here and I'm just gonna cancel it at this point" and he looks at his notes and is like "Oh well, don't worry you dont have to cancel it, I crossed a line through it on accident and never put it in. So you're good!" - He completely missed the point. I don't want to call him out by name, I just hope he reads reviews and decides to do better next time. Take care of the customer, and if you can't stop watching the game - CALL OUT OF YOUR SHIFT. I have worked in Customer Service/Retail/Grocery, etc too long and his reaction and service were completely unacceptable. We will choose to go elsewhere and it seems most of the other reviews are following this general consensus. Your location is WAY too new for you guys to have 2 stars. Regional management needs to intervene. read more
