It's like they want to be known for being a horrible place to go to. Someone at the top of the Buffalo Wild Wings corporate office needs to hire someone to turn this company around because they do have potential. All they have to do is hire the right people and change the entire menu, and bars that serve Pepsi? Is there such thing as a Jack and Pepsi? Ugh. The food is the least quality food I have ever eaten. The service: don't be alarmed if your waiting 20 minutes or more for a server to come over to your table. Pepsi products lose a star Food is all served on paper products which doesn't make any sense for costs. But them using such low quality food that is where they make up for the loss. The wings are tiny (Class B or C wings) good wings are rated as an A wing in the restaurant industry. The sauces are pre made and disgusting. The medium so totally Hot! And tastes like chemicals. If you want good wings but the worst service ever, then you have come to the right place. When we got there, we were immediately seated. However it took our waitress about 15 minutes to get us waters. At that point, we knew it was going to be a wait to get attention so we stated we wanted to order right away. We ordered a snack sized traditional wings (5 wings) and a small sized traditional wings (9 wings) and 2 orders of fries. For a total of 28 dollars which in my opinion is very overpriced. The food overall tasted great! However the experience I had was the worst service I have ever had. The wait time for me to get this order was over 50+ minutes. During that time our waitress only came to our table because I made eye contact with her and just said "Oh your food should be coming out soon". 20 minutes later we finally got our order which was brought to us by another employee. And it was incorrect. We got boneless wings and the sauce was missing on my boyfriends order. But actually turns out there was just barely any sauce on it that even the other lady couldn't even tell. Wish one was on the North side of Gainesville. I just don't like dealing with the traffic and the Oaks Mall. Ok place is always clean and the few times we have gone the wait staff have been amazingly friendly and come around to check on you the right amount of times. Let's be honest: we all come here on Tuesdays for BOGO traditional wings. That's the only time I come here. Pro tip: if you come at 9 PM, you get happy hour prices too. Their garlic parmesan wings are my favorite. Don't get me wrong; they look kind of weird but taste amazing. I've also tried their Asian zing which is a lot spicier than I anticipated. The reason why I give this 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is the service. We came at 7:30 pm on a Tuesday, the store wasn't even busy, and we left at 9. Mind you, we finished eating our food at 8:15. We asked our server for napkins THREE TIMES and she never brought them. We are at Buffalo Wild Wings...eating wings...with our hands. I think it would be obvious that we need napkins, but I guess that's just me?? She took 20 minutes just to pick our credit cards up and by the time we left it was already 9. I usually have no problem with BWW but the one in Gainesville leave much to be desired. I we had to repeat our order to the waitress after she supposed to "take it" and we were not a big party, 3 people total. When the wings arrived to the table they were drenched in mild sauce, I had to fish my wings from the amount of sauce they put in the plate. At the time to pay, we ask for split checks (2) one of had 15 wings extra that my friend didn't order, I gave her my card but she came back telling it didn't go thru (my mistake) then she came back with the check for me to sign and she said good night, my friend was still waiting to pay for her check, and by chance she asks me "check you receipt" the waitress charge the whole meal on my card when we clearly stated that it was a split check. And when I complain she said that she took the extra wings out of the check and everything is ok. Once again we were asking for a split check, that's the reason I was calling her back, she responded "I only saw your card on the table and I charged everything on it" while my friend was waiting for her corrected check. We called the manager because obviously she didn't understand what we were saying, we explain the situation to him but he completely disregard our explanation and he went about to correct the checks. No customer service whatsoever. The moral of the story should be, managers need to spend extra time training new waitress or pick people who understand simple sentences. This is an interesting addition to Gainesville and as a wing lover I'll always welcome more wing establishments to the area! We visited on a Saturday night and though the place was packed we were told it would be 20-30 mins (was definitely expecting it to be a lot longer). We cozied over to the bar, which unfortunately isn't an ideal waiting area due to the all the tables. If you just wanted to stand around and have a drink, you're constantly in someone's way. Luckily, a seat and space opened up at the bar so the awkward space situation didn't last long. The beer selection isn't anything special, one or two local brews, 2 more state brews, and a bunch of national brands. Craft beer is pretty mainstream now, so I'm not going to gush because you have fat tire or cigar city on tap. I pronounce the selection, acceptable! Upon glancing at the ingredients they have available for mixed drinks, I would skip it and stick to beer. Nothing is made in house, not even the simple syrup. The most telling thing was the presence of a mojito mix....it's just lime juice, club soda, simple syrup, rum, and mint. Come on. You need a mix for that? I prefer beer so this isn't really an issue for me, just a heads up to all you spirit lovers. They have a tablet you can use for bar trivia and that was a definite plus while we waited for our table. I just hope they wipe them down routinely..... We were promptly seated after our 20 minute wait. I decided on a "small" order of boneless wings. It's really irritating to me that the current trend at wing establishments is to have orders by general size instead of by number of wings in the order. How many wings are in the snack size? 1? 2? What is a "snack" size to the average person? After asking our waiter, I found out that a "small" is about 10 wings (the rest of the world wonders why we're fat) and you could choose 2 flavors. I chose the small sized order of boneless wings with medium (buffalo sauce) and jerk sauces. The sides are big enough to share so don't think that you each need to order your own fries. The boneless wing size is excellent. They are definitely big! I would probably order the snack size next time tbh. The jerk sauce was very very good. And the heat was just enough (I usually like medium to hot, but not painful hot). Maybe not the most "authentic" jerk, but it was a fair interpretation. Sort of like a Caribbean BBQ sauce. The medium boneless wings, on the other hand, were nearly inedible. Unbelievably over salted. Buffalo sauce is my all time favorite, and I only ate two. It was that bad. Not sure if it was the breading on the wings or the sauce, or both, but I will never order boneless with their buffalo sauce again. The jerk was delicious so that's the only reason this wasn't a 2 or 1 star experience for me. The service was just ok, and the only reason it wasn't excellent is because they assigned our poor server a 15 person table ON TOP of our table. Would have ordered more drinks, but the server barely checked up on us. We got our check around the same time and had to wait 20 mins (I checked the time stamp on the bill) for our server to pick it up (he was bogged down sorting through the checks from the large party). When walking into the location we are seated right away, but after being seated we do not see a waiter for 5-10 minutes. Very annoying especially when there are groups of 5+ workers standing around talking. By the time we talk to our server we already are ready to place our order. Our order was rather simple, we get pretzels as an appetizer and then wings and fries. We did not receive our waters until we already got our food.. We also got our meal before our appetizer. However, the multiple times I've visited this particular location I've not been able to properly enjoy my food at all. The food was served late multiple times with no explanation and the most recent visit was absolutely atrocious. Our waitress was kind and took our order swiftly. An hour passed by and all we've had to consume was a sweet tea and soda. Our waitress had already checked in a few times with us and claimed to have checked with the kitchen to see how our order was doing but nothing was really happening. We even had another waiter check on us to re-take and verify our orders. Another 30 minutes went by and the waitress apologized and still wasn't sure what was going on. She offered a free dessert on the house but that was only a flimsy stitch to the wide open hemorrhaging disaster that was our unfulfilled order from 1.5 hours ago. The appetizer finally came soon after (soon is a very relative term here) and at this point the appetizer did not look appetizing at all since it was the order of my dining partner who had to leave 30 minutes prior to the food arriving due to work. I had gone to talk to the other waiter who tended us to see if we could get an explanation of the problem and wanted to maybe pull or cancel the rest of the order and he went to investigate. Another 15 minutes passed and neither our original waitress nor the other waiter had returned. At this point we may as well get cozy and prepare to spend the night. Other customers came in after us and left before us when they got their foods and finished them. The rest of our order finally came at the 2 hour waiting mark, brought by the kitchen staff and at this point I was no longer in the mood to eat anything. I hate wasting things especially food but after 2 hours of waiting I could not enjoy the food. The waitress and waiter never showed up again and not once was there a manager seen or available for me to talk to. I have not been to this place for over 6 months, I had basically written them off from so many bad experiences. I had an errand to run today that took me near the mall around lunch time. We walked in and were handed a pager and told the wait would be 15 minutes for two. There were plenty of tvs to keep guests entertained. The greeters were pleasant and energetic. On our way to our table I realized I was on the verge of sensory overload. Did I say there were plenty of tvs? I mean there was a lot. A crap load. Boucoup tvs! On top of the tvs there was a cacophony of conversation, as well as music rising above the talking. There was no question that we were there for the wings. We chose the jerk, and honey BBQ flavor, with a side of onion rings. I also noticed there was an extensive draft list. In about fifteen minutes our food was served. The onion rings tasted like they were frozen, but still tasty. The dipping sauce had a zing to it. At points the batter was too thick, and the onion rings were close to room temperature when delivered. Wings were room temp as well. They were not terribly greasy, which is always good. They also had a nice crunch. The jerk had a dry rub texture, and then seemed to be sauced. The rub provided a mild smoldering burn. Unfortunately, the meat was dry, not juicy. The jerk sauce and pepper combined to give an odd artificial flavor. The honey BBQ was more refined. It gave notes of sweet honey, and smoky savory notes of a good BBQ sauce. Dispite the setbacks with the food. The service was the high point. On our way to the table, servers said hello to us, and we had multiple people check on us. Nicole, our waitress was super positive, and offered good suggestion on the menu. She took our feedback as well. When reviewing anything I find there is a constant debate over what is better. Should I judge it based on my own taste, or should I look at the experience based off of what style of restaurant it is. Buffalo Wild Wings is a chain. As such, they will deliver food that more than likely has been frozen. Should I fault them for using food items that they are required to have, or should I rate them based on how well they execute it? I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle. The great service was definitely a plus, but the cold and dry food leaves much to be desired. I will have to give BWW a second chance once they get over the opening jitters. AK was awesome! We had two babies both 1 year and it always makes it easier when you have a good server! Wings were delicious! I highly recommend the Mac n cheese! So I asked for one and the waitress had to cross the entire place to grab one for us. I was a little irritated at this point. -we ordered our food, still only had 1/2 of our drinks, by to be fair one of them was a coffee and it was mid day. -we got our appetizer which we ordered with our drinks then 15-20 minutes later our food came. The wings were, meh. There was a huge line of people waiting to be seated. However, the food did not meet expectations as the flavor were lacking and the food overpriced. The wings can be ordered in sizes ranging from small, medium, and large. The waiter told us he can't give the exact amount of wings that come in each basket but it is plus or minus one wing on average.
