Went this evening because I saw a special in my BWW app, after being seated the server Nate let me know that special was for to go orders only. So I started ordering my "to go" order. He came back and asked was I ready to order and I replied, I'm just going to order on line. Next thing I know, here comes the manager with a seemingly agitated look on her face, telling me that deal is for to go only, in which I replied "I know". The first time I came here we had a newer server who limited our sauce selections to only three instead of six for an order of 30-piece traditional wingers. Every other time I've been here - more sauces and better service. This evening, our server was Jose and he was amazing! He took great care of us: gave us plenty of dip, ensured our specific details for our orders were executed on, and was a really cool and friendly guy. Special shout-out to Jose! I've been to this location a number of times and have always had a fairly decent experience. The wings are always hot and flavorful. The servers are always kind, but 99% of the time... service is absurdly slow between getting orders taken and actually receiving the food. The restaurant is open with a lot of seating. There are a ton of TVs with various sports so you can always catch a good game. I also noticed (probably because I've never paid attention in the past haha), they feature the local high school's sports team jerseys. Such a great way to involve the community. We went last night and I will say, I was shocked with what a wonderful experience we had. I wish I could remember our servers name but I unfortunately don't and didn't keep my receipt (will make sure to do in the future). We were seated right away and our server came over within minutes. She got our drink and food order quickly. They have a special right now for a 54oz pitcher of Coors Light beer for $10! We got our beer within a couple minutes of ordering which was a nice surprise. Cold and delicious! Our wings came out not too long after either and as usual, hot and flavorful. I always order the garlic parmesan because it has a lot of flavor with just enough of a spicy kick! My other go-to is the salt and vinegar dry rub. Highly recommend these two flavors if you aren't into spicy wings! These wings came exactly as ordered; extra crispy, all flats, with fries and blue cheese and ranch. They were lemon pepper dry rub with hot sauce on the side. Higher marks would have earned stars for the wings to come out together and we chatted about having to wait about 10 min longer for the remainder of the tables wings. Literally the worst service in any restaurant in reno. The host had sat us down at our table and we waited 25-30 minutes until i had to as for a server. Every time i go there the service is garbage. Me personally, I'm not a fan of wings so I never get them (which is probably one of the biggest reasons to eat there) so I always try something else on their menu. This time our waitress recommended to have the fried cheese curds with caramel as a dip, and it was surprisingly good! I was not expecting it to really transform the cheese curds! I only go to Buffalo when they have the BOGO deal on Thursdays. I usually like to mix it up on my sauce choices, but my favorite is Jammin' Jalapeno. We usually go to wingstop, but decided to get food here because it was on the way home. For $38 (including tax and tip) we got 15 boneless wings, 10 bone-in wings and fries. When we got home and opened the bag, the fries were missing. We aren't going to go back just to get fries, but it's disappointing that no one checked the order. The label on the bag doesn't have anyone's name (reviewed by) on it, but I'm not sure if they even fill those out for any orders (but why put that label?..) I guess our fault for not checking at the restaurant, but the person who handed us our bag confirmed what was in the bag so we didn't feel the need to double check. We got to BWW around 7 , it's a Sunday so we expected it to be a little busy and a little crowded. They told us it would be a 15-20 min wait, we put our name and number down so they could call us and tell us when we're ready . Cool, after 20 mins, we went inside the restaurant to see if we could just sit down and wait. Being seated was fine and everything seemed fine when it got started. Our waitress was Stephanie and she seemed very nice at first , but I'm not sure if it was the type of day she was having or maybe all the tension that was going around between the servers, but our service went from okay to bad really quick. We did order drinks to have while we were deciding on wings. We had 2 margaritas , strawberry and passionfruit, my fiancè had a beer and my sister in law had the redbull sunrise. The drinks ended up coming out 45 minutes into being seated and our appetizers actually ended up coming out before we even had the drinks. When we did get the drinks, the margaritas tasted of just syrup and mixture. It was a pretty sweet margarita as well , and i mean insanely sweet. The appetizers were good , but my sister in laws friend specifically told the waiter (Stephanie) that she did not want the fried pickles anymore , but she came out with the fried pickles anyways. We told Stephanie we were going to just drink and have appetizers first and then order food, but once we had our drinks and appetizers, Stephanie was no where to be found anywhere near us. We were ready to order our wings but we didn't see her anywhere for about 45 minutes, she came by briefly to see if we wanted more drinks, and the second time around the drinks came out in less time than the first time. Keep in mind, we got to the place at 7 and it was already. 9 by the time we told them we wanted to just order to go and we were able to just pay for our food and just do to go. It seemed understaffed , but we also notice even the tables that came after us had everything including drinks and entrees all in a timely matter. So we were confused and were getting antsy already to just leave , but we still wanted to order wings and support buffalo wild wings. To be clear, we were still being nice to her and treated her with respect even if we unhappy with our service and the time we were there with no service or a simple table wellness check if we needed more water or if we were okay. We did have to ask another waitress if we could do a to go order, but she said we would have to ask our waitress to do the order and she will grab her for us. From our point of view based off of our service, we could of just been those people and not drink our drinks and left with nothing , but we still drank our drinks, ate most of our appetizers , and still respectfully ordered our wings still , but just to go. But to Stephanie or whoever , they were not pleased with the way we handled things even though we still ordered wings and still tipped something when sometimes people won't tip at all with poor service? As a consumer, I simply just went to the to go booth and asked about our to go order because we've been waiting for over an hour for our food and my one year old son was already over it and getting fussy. Again for some reason that was seen as disrespect and lead to where I am now tonight. I called the restaurant after finding this note and of course as soon as I said I wanted to talk to their manager , they said the manager was off site already. It was 10PM where I understand it was time for them to go home, but i ended up talking to Alison who works there and told her about the note. She continued to explain to me about how they are understaffed and there has been tension between the staff members. She also mentioned this matter will be brought up, but as you guys can tell, this was beyond just a negative experience. We are going to be those people that will say we will no longer be returning to Buffalo Wild Wings due to this experience, but just the audacity and professionalism of someone who just simply did not have to do anything. To Stephanie, i understand the whole tip world for waiters and waitress. At the end of all this, you still got tipped. I wish nothing upon you and even if you decided to work towards somewhere or something else , i hope you live your best life. But this was not okay and take the emotions elsewhere , away from work. I work face to face with people for 10 hours of my day and have some of them tell me i'm a crap worker or make me so angry because of the silliest things , but i would never take it to the extent where i make sure they know i'm upset and don't want to work with them. And to top it off, there was no ranch anywhere in our to go wings. Happy Sunday everybody. We stopped by for lunch on a weekday with my teenage son, as I thought he would enjoy wings. It wasn't very busy and got a table easily. Our server was very friendly and food was prompt. We got two types of wings, lemon pepper and medium Buffalo style. We also shared pretzel bites with beer cheese. Really enjoyed the chewy, warm pretzel bites with the beer cheese. We flagged down the server and told her we didn't order BBQ wings. The server responded defensively, saying she thought we ordered the honey BBQ wings.
