I immediately went back to the host stand and explained to the young man working there that the seating was unacceptable and that we needed a table. He looked around and told me they did not have a table for seven. I had to suggest that they simply move tables together, which he eventually did. It took 35 minutes before anyone came to our table, at which point we were told they had no clean glasses for water. It then took another 10 minutes before someone finally took our drink and food orders. Our food and drinks were brought out in a completely staggered manner, and some members of our party were still waiting for their drinks another 15 minutes later. We asked twice to speak with a manager, but a manager never came to our table. Throughout the meal, our server repeatedly apologized and told us they were short-staffed. While I understand that staffing issues happen, that does not excuse the overall lack of preparation, organization, communication, and basic customer service. We made a reservation in advance for a party of seven and expected the restaurant to be prepared to accommodate us. Instead, we were left to repeatedly ask for basic things and spent a significant portion of our visit waiting. This was one of the worst dining experiences our group has had. The fact that no manager ever came to speak with us after being asked twice made the experience even more disappointing. I would strongly recommend that management address the issues with reservations, staffing, cleanliness, and customer service so that other customers do not have to experience what we did.
