After grinding through a hard 3 hour workout, the only logical next step was to immediately cancel it out w a buffet!!! Buffet Star didn't exactly sound like a five-star life choice (and Yelp's 3 stars tried to hinder me from eating here), but plot twist..... it was way better than expected!!!!! The sushi made my husband and son happy little sea creatures, the Mongolian grill slapped, and the chicken wings were jumbo sized and fire!! But the real MVP? Chicken pot stickers!!!!! I've never seen chicken pot stickers at a buffet (bc they're 99% always pork pot stickers). Fried rice, noodles, seafood galore..... basically, carbs and ocean things everywhere!!! Food was fresh, they kept replenishing the food due to the amount of traffic flowing through. The place is laid out like they tried to seat half the city in one room (could easily seat about 250 people), but hey, at least the food makes up for the chaos!!!! Service was on point... plates vanished like magic, drinks stayed topped off, and there was plenty of parking. BTW, you pay first before getting seated (pretty bold move) Overall, dinner was a win tonight, would happily return to undo another workout when we're back in the area!!!

Been here a few times. Good service. Can be a little noisy when packed and is expected. Got my Mongolian style meat and veggies. Just onion and mushroom on beef, chicken and shrimp. Beef was tough but sauce made flavorful and still enjoyable. Some lobster pieces were tough and dry the first try. Got seconds when they put out new a new batch. Better but too much sticky coating and can't taste full flavor of lobster. Rest of what I tried were ok. Best part for me was the fruits. I got rambutan, papaya. Raspberry and pineapple. Pineapple was not as sweet as I've expected but good enough as palette cleanser. Still worth coming back.

Haven't been here for years but we came back to check out the changes! The food is great but prices went up as usual! Service is good they keep pickup your dishes! No wait as it is Hugh inside.

The restaurant was packed mid day. We dined in for a late lunch around 2:30 on a Saturday. The buffet stayed stocked full of many dishes. As soon as one was empty it was promptly replaced. They had lots of crab legs, mussels, shrimp , and classics like pepperoni pizza and french fries for picky eaters. Plates are cleared fast from your table as you finish. Flavors are good.

Love eating here. The food is always great. I go here only for the seafood and I am never disappointed. It is very crowded at times, but it's okay because I get my moneys worth.

Got takeout by the lb. yesterday & honestly it'd probably have been worth it to just dine in. The selection was vast including sushi, hot foods, fried appetizers & deserts along with seafood such as crab legs, fried crab, shrimp, mussel, etc. Definitely worth a try if you're nearby & hungry.

2nd time here. The food is good and have a wide variety of food including sushi/sashimi. The reason for coming here was for their crab legs. Weekend buffet is $26.99. As provided on one of the pictures, when we arrived. The crab legs were really thin, and somewhat dry. We came on the weekend, which was somewhat busy. To my surprise, even though it was busy, it wasn't really noisy like some other places. That was great. The problem was that the ladies who would pick the plates and provide refills, I needed to keep trying to get their attention. They would group up to chat among themselves. In addition, towards the end of our time there, there were older Asian women coming in with very elaborate dresses. At this time is when they started to provide the larger crab legs in the trays. The sushi was mostly replaced with fresh cuts. Grrr....

Got my fill of my favorite fried crabs !! For Fridays during the Lenten Season , this is the best place to eat seafood and fish !!! Fresh Sushi has many selections!!! Fast bussing tables, picking up used plates and cleaning after each diners leave tables! Crabs today so delicious like always! Busy! Busy! Busy! Tables always filled up with hungry diners ready to devour !!! Fresh servings of dishes are always promptly replenished!!

This is a very chill cheap buffet. Let talk seating was terrible gives vibes of a school cafeteria small areas very little moving room and super hot I had to grab my hand fan it was that hot. Now The food is room temperature if you're lucky enough to where they pull out the food fresh then it's warm and hot and taste good they have quite a variety the sushi. I wasn't brave enough to try all of it I stuck with California rolls. It wasn't cold, but it was cool And then they had a Mongolian barbecue grill that was probably the freshest because it's cooked right there in front of you. The desserts again very limited but that's usually what you get from a Chinese buffet all in all for $17.99 not bad but again.. give it a try and then you decide.

Came for crab legs and was not disappointed. They kept refilling the station when it ran low. It was a bit stuffy. Not sure if the ac was just off or wasn't working but be prepared to take your sweater off & tie your hair up.

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. If you're in the area, please stop at Niko for some fresh tasty sushi and an excellent sushi experience with sushi chef's that know what they're doing. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I sensed something exciting was going to happen -- but relying entirely on word of mouth. Flash-forward to early 2026, where readers of the local weekly paper named this the Best Sushi of Redlands. I was so excited, and as my visit last week demonstrates -- things have only improved. KYO SUSHI was packed at 5PM on a Tuesday. Not only slammed, but standing room only. I don't know what happened but I'm so happy for them. Two subtle changes have happened and I'm all for them. A LOCAL NEWS channel sharing dreadful stories on the TV has been swapped for hi-def reels of lovely Asian spots, making our escape from the crazy world we live in complete. As an extra touch, we are now treated to soothing jazz, which helps in a room with so many happy customers. A special shout out to Sia, who greets regulars like family and will help you get exactly what you need. Hi to Wendy and the new young lady, all keeping a close eye on customer happiness. I believe KYO is on the brink of having outgrown this location, but a lease is likely keeping them there for a while. It's a shame they can't move next door into the old Von's location -- lol -- because what a place that would be. Enough room in their to farm the fish. Pro Tip -- try the Megan Fox roll!

Real props to them for still providing excellent customer service with each of their tables. Their food comes out fast, and they all tasted amazing. And their drinks too look visually stunning and tasted great. We ordered the following foods and drink: 1. Gyu set- comes with several meats that you cook on the fire. High quality. Great taste. Extremely tender and flavorful. 2. Short ribs- they were so good we had to get another order of them. 3. Sushi taco- 3 different types of seafood. Tasted really good, ended.up getting 2 orders of them. 4. Spicy tuna crispy wanton- lots of spicy tuna. Love the flavors. The crunch of the taco was really good. 5. Chicken karaage- crispy and tender. The sauce it came with was so good. 6. Tempura shrimp- 3 peices only. It was ok. A great appetizer to start with. 7. Spicy pork bao- bao bun was amazing. Pork was soft and tender. Good ratio of meat to bao. 8. Smoked brisket bao- not as good as the spicy pork. But was still really good. 9. Hand roll was also really good. Drinks: 1. White peach sake sangria- this drink was so light and refreshing. Definitely hit me by the time I finished it though. 2. Yuzu pineapple express- our favorite drink by far. Very pineapple forward. Sweet, tart and refreshing. 3. Tokyo tea- the midori made it look so pretty. The taste itself was very good as well. 4. Rising sun- Japanese whiskey. It was very whiskey forward, but it was also very smooth. I love how they had a little bit of everything here. Pork, chicken, raw fish, sushi, bbq, bao buns, Ramen, a whole bunch of different appetizers. Everything that we tried was really good, and put a smile of happiness on our face as we took a bite and tried them. There's a little bit of everything for everyone here. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. It was not cheap. Every little thing added up. But we did order a lot of food and drinks. But everything was really good. Would definitely come back again!!
