I really don't like Chinese buffets because they all seem the same to me, plus I prefer Family Style dinners because quality just seems better that way. Alas a new buffet has arrived in the city of Redlands, in the Citrus Plaza area. This replaced Canton Bistro, an Asian theme restaurant/nightclub that failed, so at least I know the ambiance would be nice haha. I came here for dinner, which was about $13 per person. There was plenty of seating, and yes the restaurant is very nice and modern indeed, especially with the huge bamboo on the walls. Food choices include a salad bar, appetizer food like soup, wontons, etc.. main dishes like salmon, crab legs, some lobster dish, pepper beef, a mongolian BBQ grill, sushi, and a dessert station. The only thing I really liked here was the sushi, as they offered about like 10 different types of rolls, mostly California roll based. The rest of the food was blah, and the dessert station was depressing... it only offered like 3 things... almond cookies, little slices of cake, and ice cream. Sigh... another Asian buffet fail! At least the restaurant itself is nice. If you want a good Asian buffet and are willing to drive to Long Beach... try Hokkaido lol, its my favorite out of all the places I've been to. read more

A friend of mine almost had me talked into going here, after reading the reviews about rude waitresses....forget about it!

Absolutely horrible customer service. We had a party of 8 come in and my wife made a reservation. When we came in, we told the hosted we were here. She said that she will tell her boss. After 10 minutes, my wife checked in again and they hadn't told anybody about our party. They gave us a number. Number after number was called. 6 parties who came after us for seated before us. After 20 minutes, the manager told us "a couple more minutes". That was what he said 10 minutes earlier. The manager then told us that we can leave if we didn't want to wait. He was absolutely rude. He didn't have the nerve to talk to me directly the entire time. Will never go back there to be treated so rudely. read more

Went here for my 20th birthday with my parents and one of the waitresses refused to take my father's signed receipt unless he gave her a 10 dollar tip! Five stars!! Met up with my mom at this buffet I've been here several times in the past but I've never had the dinner and o m g... All day on Veterans Day ( maybe other holidays too ) they served their dinner buffet with snow crab legs ( which I don't eat due to an overeating snow crab leg at morongo's seafood buffet over a year ago ) and the best BEST fried garlic crab ... They also have it with shrimp too BOTH SO DELICIOUS... I literally had a dream about eating this crab again and if you love spicy with garlic And crab this is your place to try.. The crab and shrimp were so crunchy and full of meat! ( those crabs were so plump ) they also have a fresh sushi bar... Even bowls of sashimi buffet style .. I was skeptical trying it but I did because it did look fresh ( fresher then the packaged sushi at the grocery stores ) I decided to go for it and it was really good too. They have the usual Chinese/seafood buffet mayo butter covered mussels and orange chicken, chow mein and etc.. All of which looked good but I strictly stuck to the sashimi and crab and shrimp -all is worth the 12.99 per person ... My family loves to come here and now I know why! Came here a couple of times with my daughter because we simply love this buffet more than the other ones. They have a great selection of sushi and meat. The snow crab legs taste fantasic and I cannot get enough of them. This place is one of the best asian buffets around the area. The only negative thing I can say is the young man who seated us should be a little more clear about the prices. There was no welcome or thank you. Went there with a co-worker Friday for a lunch buffet.Nice decor and the interior looks great. The men's restroom could use some cleaning though. Nothing special but the buffet is as good as Chinese buffet food goes for $8.99. After 2 rounds full of food this is what I like and don't like: What I like: Chicken Wings - yumm yumm. Delicious and I would have order it just by itself Sushi - not bad for a buffet; pretty good. Tempura green beans - pretty good Shrimp - decent Mayo Clams - not sure what the name is but I always like this at Chinese buffets and this one didn't dissapoint What I didn't like: Octopus salad - just ok. This is the best buffet I ever have. They have lots of food and what attract me the most are fried lobster and fried crab. Lots of sushi, cold crawfish, lobster soup, steam crab and lots of seafood. They also have noodle and you can choose meat, vegetables mushrooms to mix and they will cook for you. Whatever I tried here is the best compared to other buffet I've ever eaten. Well my review is not based on the food. Its based on the cleanliness. Always wet spills on the floor. At 845 pm the staff is cleaning. Chairs on the tables. Now I feel rushed. Let's start off with the food Mmmm delicious that chef back there can cook. Everything is good to the lobster , sushi , rice you name . Now the reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because of the service . You don't have to know English to provide good service . I really like this place! I normally don't do buffets but I love this one! All you can eat crab! The sushi is pretty good. I wouldn't recommend if to someone going on a date, but it's perfect for me, my husband, and my 3 small messy children! Just ate here last weekend with my son. It's definitely one of the better tasting asian style buffets I've had in a while. Nice variety with some surprisingly decent quick sushi options. Aside from the cluttered seating and the staff being off their game for things like refills and getting a high chair for my little guy without having to ask a couple of times nicely, I'd give it another shot. It was on a Sunday and they were pretty packed but still... Okay I've eaten here a number of times it's always busy particularly at peak hours. They advertise a lot about having Lobster Caveat Emptor! they put out one tray of it about once an hour if you're not the first one in there you're never going to get it, you are going to have somebody usually Asian in front of you that tackles and takes the entire tray or you've got somebody reaching around you and trying to grab in front of you no courtesy whatsoever that's what kind of turned me off from the place. This place exceeded my expectations. I saw the review with the worm in the edamame so I ate my food very carefully but everything was delicious and I had no problems with any item. I was super skeptical about the sushi since it was buffet style but all the fish is refrigerated right there at the buffet counter and the "sushi chefs" were making fresh rolls non stop. None of the sushi tasted "fishy" so that was awesome. Their wasabi looked a little weird, creamier than I've ever seen, but still tasted good. The crab legs were surprisingly perfect. The pot stickers and wontons were delicious. The fried rice was a little hard and the noodles were super greasy but the flavor was right. I really liked the shrimp, I think it was garlic shrimp in the shell. Seasoning was really good and about 90-95% of the shrimp were clean. $15.99/adult is not bad at all for the really good selection of food they had. Really glad the wife and I went. My Family of Seven and I went on a Saturday for Dinner. The food was put out fresh every so often. But I Don't like the way that the employees cleaned the tables. Cross contamination, I watch them clean at least 4 different tables and chairs from different areas with the same towel. The seating was horrible I think that it was over capacity. The Women restrooms was horrible it had trash everywhere, the door to the toilet area didn't lock, no tissue maybe because it was all thrown on the floors, the floor was wet it looks like urine on the floor or they have a sewage problem because it smelled really bad. We was there for about 45 minutes and they started cleaning our tables off and brought us our tab, so We felt that they was rushing us off for more space. I think instead of them focusing on getting everyone in and seated they really need to focus on the cleanliness and comfort of this place. For a buffet, this place is top of the line. They have a wide variety of food and all of the food is actually properly cooked. There is a lot of seating so you don't have to worry about it being crowded. The only thing is some of the staff aren't the absolute nicest people while others are nice.
