Bugattis does not disappoint! I really enjoyed my anniversary dinner between the company, the meal and the port wine, I was in heaven. They have a fish special right now that is a must have. It's rich creamy pasta with a craveable sauce that is silky and smooth. It's the kind of sauce that anything tastes good with, including dipping your bread in it. Even the vegetables were fantastic. I am not sure the artichokes were needed and they are quite vinegary. They were just on the side but if you mix them in they throw off the flavor of the pasta sauce but everything was divine regardless. The Halibut is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and that little crust on the top was delectable. I started with a wedge salad that came with a tomato based dressing that I didn't care for. My ribeye we ordered medium rare. When it cut into it was very rare. When the waitress came back by the table I brought this to her attention. She took it back to have them put it back on the grill. It came back out but now it was over cooked to medium well. It was also very tough to cut. By this time I just gave up and told my wife that I guess the dogs will be eating good tonight. My wife and I both had baked potatoes with our meals, and they weren't cooked enough either. They weren't cold, but they weren't creamy like a good baked potato should be. My wife said her chop was very good. Bugatti's Steak & Pasta is a great upscale experience at the Ameristar casino in St. Charles. I've eaten here a number of times and have also enjoyed myself! This last meal was probably one of the best ones I've had! They also provide fresh bread, and I got Little Gem Wedge which had a nice smoked tomato vinaigrette, the Rigatoni Bolognese, and my mother had the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass. We took our daughter to Bugatti's restaurant for dinner inside the casino. We were seated shortly even though the restaurant was very crowded. We ordered a calamari which was very good and a bottle of wine to start. We also ordered a prime rib and a filet. Everything is all cart so we ordered salads and potatoes and vegetables also. The food is good although pretty expensive. I know they were busy but getting water refills and taking away dishes took a long time. We finished up with nice gelato dessert. Good food but expensive and they need to pay more attention to the customers after they have received their food. I don't mind paying top dollar but I do expect the service to also be top notch. read more

The food is above average. My wife enjoyed a steak and I had pasta and a salad. The wedge gem salad, or whatever it's called, was definitely one of the best I've had. The servings were plentiful so we both got another meal out of it. The last time we were there the service was ridiculously slow, but maybe they were short staffed. AWFUL experience from start to finish. Now I understand why there's never many people in there. Hostess will not seat you where you're comfortable, it has to fit her seating chart. We clearly told her we needed a table and she seats us in a booth. VERY slow service from the server and missed several items we ordered. Worst of all the steaks were very poor quality meat - tough as can be with very little flavor - total rip-off for the HIGH prices they charge. ($60-$75 per steak a la carte!) This was a great place to go! Went here for my mom's birthday to celebrate! Our server was awesome and he was very attentive for how busy they were. The specials they had were amazing and the steak was just as good as the fish. I obviously had to order a bloody mary and though it was not as spicy as I thought the flavor was great! Let's see, where to start. I have eaten at Bugatti's twice now and the experience was quite similar both times. We made reservations for my wife's birthday dinner this past Saturday night. Seating was prompt, the restaurant was maybe half full. Service here was not good at all. We waited 30 minutes just to place a drink order. Appetizers arrived before the drinks and not because it was quick. On the positive side, the food is very good. My wife and son had steaks, my daughter anf I had pasta dishes. All tasted great, however my pasta was not hot, and my son's steak was undertone. Now, on to the negative. Slow and inattentive service. We hardly saw our server. Empty bread, water, drinks, and no waitress. She never even checked on our main courses after they were delivered. Now keep in mind, this is not a budget meal. I am ok paying a premium for a good meal on a special night, but service and taste have to align. My son's steak was $70, and wasn't even cooked properly. I doubt this was a kitchen error, as the waitress seemed surprised when we asked that it be cooked longer to get to the ordered temperature. She then forgot to bring it back until asked about it later. As I said, thus was a birthday dinner, but we did not even stay for dessert. Almost $300 for an ok meal with slow service. Go for the food, but expect to be there for a while. read more

First off all, the food is absolutely delicious!!! The three stars is not reflective of the food, but the service. The hostess was fantastic, I can see why she is front and center. But our waitress (with a topknot) was not that great. First, my friend and I ordered some drinks. I was there for my birthday, and the other two I was with, one was a frequent visitor, and the other forgot her ID. Now, she's almost 50, and had a birth certificate with her, but because she didn't have a picture on it...even though she had other cards with her name on it, the waitress refused to serve her. Then on top of that, she never came back to our table to check and see how the food was, and I had to flag her down every time I wanted a drink. They knew it was my birthday, and there was another birthday party there. They brought out an amazing, sparkling dessert for her, directly following her meal. We had to wait 15 minutes until I finally flagged down our waitress to get our bill. She then "whispered" that she knew it was my birthday, and asked us not to leave. Several minutes later, my sparkly dessert came out. It was delicious!!! We ordered some dessert to go at that time. Then another almost 20 minutes passes (I don't know, we're they making it from scratch in the back or something?) until we got our desserts, and could finally close out! Because the lighting is dim, I literally almost fell asleep waiting for her, after my delicious meal! Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be friendly though, I must say. Guess next time I'll have to request someone other than her. The crab pasta was phenomenal!!! So was the chocolate cake!!! read more

Overall Score: 4.5/5 but we'll round up to 5 stars Bugatti's provides a good fine dining experience! I'll recount my experience below with a list of pros and cons. Pros: - Ambiance: The dim lighting, dark wood, and upscale feel of this restaurant was very nice. I liked it! - Pretty good food: I ordered the Fritto Misto tasting portion (but was given the full size instead and was still charged for the small size I ordered), a side Caesar salad that came with optional anchovies, an old fashioned cocktail, and the lasagna. My drink and the food were all good, although I didn't care for the Fritto Misto too much. It had way too many calarmari than shrimp. - Complimentary bread: I was given complimentary rolls which were delicious, which also came with crackers (which were eh not so delicious). - Good Service: My waitress and two bussers who assisted me were all nice and efficient. My waitress could have been a little bit more outgoing, but she was still efficient and nice. - Nice variety on the menu: The menu features steak, seafood, and Italian cuisine options. I also like that certain dishes/appetizers can come as a full size or "tasting" portion. Cons: - My food wasn't boxed for me: I hate to be a stickler but as much of a fine dining experience as by all accounts this was, I found it interesting that my waitress didn't offer to box up my meal for me. When I asked for a box, she just gave me a bag and box to do it myself. It's not a big deal I guess, but I will say I found it surprising when comparing that detail to the rest of my experience. - The staff water bottle right by my table: for info about this, please see my included picture. I was seated at a table closest to the exposed kitchen and staff area. There was a water bottle that was left by a member of staff right above/next to my table which I found kind of distracting and odd. I didn't say anything about it, but after I sat for about 20 minutes, it was removed. -Fritto Misto Appetizer: As I said earlier in this review, this dish was supposed to be a mix of shrimp and calamari. I had WAAAAAAY more calamari than shrimp, and honestly the food had no real flavor. The sauce that accompanied it was good though. Still, I'll never order it again. Although there were things about my experience here that were less than perfect, I still feel like the pros of my experience outweighed the cons. I'll probably order completely different dishes the next time I visit, as a way to try more of the menu and to sample their steaks. read more

We were staying at the Ameristar Casino and decided to have dinner at Bugatti's with some friends. Although it was a Friday night, the restaurant only appeared about half full at 7:30, and yet we waited for almost 10 minutes for a hostess to even acknowledge our existence and another few minutes before we sat down. Our service from there was comically bad. Waitress shows up (after 10 minutes - couple behind us just left because it was taking too long) and asks for our appetizer order and never takes our drink order, tells us any of the specials, or make any introductory remarks at all - very strange. Then she shows up 5 minutes after placing the order asking what kind of dressing I want (I ordered caprese salad...no dressing) and if I wanted shrimp scampi (not on appetizer menu) or shrimp cocktail. We then ask if they have a drink menu (as a sort of hint hint) - she hands us the wine list and walks away immediately. The night was filled with lots of awkward, confused, and profoundly slow service including missing orders. The food, however, was decent. The bread (when it finally came out) and appetizers were quite good. The entrees (fettuccini Alfredo, sea bass, and rigatoni bolognese) were OK - but quite salty and inconsistently sized (sea bass was very small portion vs enormous Alfredo). The tiramisu (although it looked nothing like any tiramisu I've ever had) was tasty as was the sorbet. All in all, the food was OK, but the staggeringly bad service would keep me from coming back here in the future. read more

We had dinner at Bugatti's on Saturday 2/17/24 and it was outstanding from start to finish. I especially want to first recognize our wonderful server Alecia (Alesha? didn't get the spelling of her name unfortunately) She was such a positive, efficient delight and is a valuable asset to the restaurant. We started with charbroiled oysters that were delicious and I then got the wedge salad which was huge and very flavorful. My husband had a filet with Bearnaise sauce and I had the scallops served over peas and mushrooms - omgosh!! The scallops were cooked perfectly and I could have eaten another plate of the peas/mushrooms - very tasty. Hubby's filet was cooked perfectly as well and very flavorful and served with a huge loaded baked potato that he couldn't finish but tasted great. Good wine and ambiance even though they were very busy. By the end of our meal we were chatting with Alecia as if we were old friends and she went out of her way to make our evening memorable. Bugatti's was so delicious! We went for a work party and there was a set menu, which sometimes doesn't have the best options. However, everything we had was so fantastic! We started with an appetizer sampler that had cheesy chicken spring rolls, Arancini (risotto balls), fritto misto, and crab cakes and every.single.thing was delicious! I think the favorite was the Arancini, but everything else was very close behind them. Then, they brought out the bread basket which included super light and flaky crackers with tons of seasoning on them and we couldn't stop eating those either. Next up was the French Onion soup, which was good, but not a standout like everything else. It needed salt. For the main course, I got the Verlaso Salmon which had a greens salad on top and asparagus risotto beneath it and oh my, was this amazing! I was the only person who ordered it and everyone was jealous! It had such great flavor and the risotto was perfect. Finally, we were beyond stuffed, but it was time for dessert. I got the Bugatti special dessert, Zuppa Inglese, b/c it sounded so unique and it exceeded my expectations! Amazing presentation and flavor with light, fluffy meringue. I ended up taking a lot of it home because I was so full and didn't want to leave it. It tasted fantastic the next day too! Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable - even told us some stories about the food. We enjoyed the steak but the pasta was outstanding. Awful for 100 a person. Clearly something has gone wrong with this place. We ordered four meals and three we not eatable. In addition there was no busboy to fill water or clear plates. It was Saturday and not crowded so that wasn't the problem. As for details Steaks way over cooked, risotto like paste, crab legs funky and discolored. Wine was good as was appetizer. We spent the weekend at the Ameristar, and we planned to have dinner at Asia but we didn't realize that particular restaurant was actually inside the casino. We had our son with us and he's underage, so we wandered into Bugatti's as a substitute. Its dark and has an old school Italian feel. Not really family friendly, more date night or special occasion. Quite pricey. The bread is phenomenal. My son and I both had pasta, good portions and it was delish. My husband ordered the scallops with peas and he actually said, "I'm going to order the $33 scallops although I'm quite certain I'm going to get a few scallops with 10 peas sprinkled about", and when the waiter dropped the plate, that's exactly what he got. We all chuckled. The busser drove me nuts. He was relentless in his attempt to clear our dishes. I'm easily annoyed, but even my laid-back husband was bothered. My son still had food in his mouth and he approached and said, "Can I box that up?" I barked, "He's still eating!" About that time, our neat waiter offered to bring our son a fun dessert, and he brought it out with a lit sparkler of some sort burning, like a huge candle. This is a fabulous fine dining restaurant experience that more locals need to know about! Chef outdid himself with a charcuterie platter and a lovely salad to start. Then the main event was a tomahawk ribeye for the table to split. It was delicious prime cut and a huge amount of food! We also enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, which was so flaky and light that it was the surprise winner for us. It is served with a tomato jam that compliments it perfectly. The lamb was great, as was a simple chick parm. It was a lot of food and all wonderful! The grand finale was several desserts to share. The winner for dessert was the peanut butter chocolate one, but the espresso cheesecake was light and fluffy, and the presentation on the banana mousse was gorgeous. This is a great place to come for a special night out, to entertain clients or to get a big group together and have them take great care of you like they did our group. I had never thought of coming to the Ameristar for dinner (we don't care for gambling) but we would absolutely come here again!
