Please be careful at checkout. The cashier told me she's going to give us a coupon for next time for $10. She failed to tell me we would be charged $5 for the gift card. Why would I purchase a gift card for $5 that's only worth $10? lol what? When I called today May 8 at 12:21 pm to inquire about a refund, the employee was very rude. Told me I misunderstood. Dismissed what I told her and hung up the phone. Not much to misunderstand there. I was omitted information at the time of the transaction. Note photo. I was told I was getting a $10 gift card to use next time. Nothing was said about a $5 charge for it! That is predatory. Be aware of what they tell you at checkout.

We used their birthday special for our 5 year old so we got a $14 worth of a bear for $5. It was a cute exercise for my daughter. She got to press the pedal and be involved in the filling process. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Although there's nothing to choose from for the birthday special. They have only one kind of bear, but still worth it if your child is younger.

So I finally did it!! I finally took my toddler out and of all places we ended up here at the mall. Lmao. Since Build-A-Bear Workshop has this amazing "count your candles" offer where the age of your child is how much you'll be paying for their infamous birthday bear, I couldn't pass up on the offer. What better way to commemorate my toddler's 1st year and make her first visit to B.A.B that much more special. This workshop was a lot smaller than I remembered it so do not be alarmed if you find yourself standing outside waiting for an employee to grant you access. The shop is keen on social distancing and keeping all of its visitors and employees safe. The easy part was picking out the bear but the hard part was deciding on what outfit and accessories to buy. Due to the shop being a lot smaller, I felt like B.A.B downsized a lot on it's selection of clothing. We took quite a bit of time but managed to come up with something not too flashy and soft enough for our baby to comfortably cuddle with. The downside: Ringing up the bear and naming it was like pulling teeth. Maybe it was the masks making things hard to understand but the employee named the bear incorrectly. Once that was fixed we left the store only to find out my daughter's name was misspelled. [[FML]] 3 stars because things weren't bad but I wished it had gone a lot more smoother.

I recently purchased a product online for my granddaughter for Christmas. It came in a crushed brown box. The birth certificate was crumpled and the only packaging was one piece of paper shoved in the box. When I called and asked why my purchase wasn't in a build a bear box I was told I had to check that option at checkout. Seriously? I was told I could order one for .95 with an almost $10 shipping charge or go to a store. There are no stores in close proximity to me that's why I ordered online to begin with. All in all their customer service sucks. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

For my 4th birthday I got a Build A Bear stuff animal and I just have to say this thing held up amazing!! I got the monkey bear and I remember them putting a scent on her belly of the stuff animal and to this day I can still smell it after loads of washing and drying in the washer and dryer. I am 13 now and no rips, tears, etc. It had collected lint in the past few years but that will always happen. if your looking for a bear to have for the rest of your life choose Build A Bear :).

It was the third birthday of my daughter and so we went to Build a Bear Workshop located at Westfield Valley Mall. She loved picking out her favorite bear to make. She also liked the outfits so much. It was fun for all. I will definitely be back soon and I highly recommend this place to people of all ages.

I had a great experience with the staff at build a bear. We created a "pay your age" birthday bear. All that you have to do is sign up online and show up during your child's birthday month. They gave my almost 2 year old a big sticker and helped him through the bear making process at an age appropriate level. They even did the heart with him, which he loved. I'll definitely be back!

How much is it to make a bear?

Anywhere from $12+ depending on your add-ons. If you add things like a scent, a sound, a heartbeat and/or clothing you can end up spending $50+. You can make a pretty decent bear for around $25.

Can you place an order online and pick it up at a factory?

We held our kid's birthday party here and the place was huge and so clean :) loved the experience…read moreand everything about it was good! It was easy to call them and discuss package options. They offer so much flexibility - you can order food through them or bring up-to 3 of your own platters (21x13 size) too for no charge. The balloon decor for $40 a bunch was cute and they offered arches starting $200+ Base package starts from $600 (15 kids and 50 adults) and u have to pay $250 as advance to reserve the date and time. This includes cutlery, water, juice as well. Every additional kid is $18. The place is safe for kids aged 0-5 and gives them space to run and enjoy while the parents can relax and sit and eat. No shoes allowed so either you can go in socks or barefoot. The place is all yours for 2 hr slots and parking is free and they have their own lot. Great staff and very helpful :) loved it!!

I mean.... more for younger kids…read more We came here to attend a birthday party. ..was expecting it to be like a playplace yard but it turned out to be more like a sensory, developmental play area for kids under 10. Obviously they throw parties for kids No arcade, no jumpers, no slides...its not a themed entertainment place but i will say that it is a safe place for kids and adults to have that quality celebration time. Its located downtown on the alameda, corner of Race street...a few blocks away from the SAP Center. There is a free parking lot in the back if the back of the building. The setup is simple inside...go in, check in, taje off your shoes, go in and play

From the moment we arrived, it genuinely felt like everyone on staff was excited to be celebrating our son. That kind of energy doesn't happen by accident--and it's a direct reflection of Genessa, the manager. Her attention to detail, calm leadership, and the way she supports and leads her team is truly impressive. You can feel it in every interaction. The staff was organized, warm, attentive, and so clearly happy to be there. The facility itself is spotless, well-run, and perfect for kids. And can we talk about the food? It's actually good--which is rare for kids' party venues. On top of that, the fact that they allow outside cold platters with no additional charge is an absolute game changer for parents planning a party. Everything felt easy, joyful, and stress-free--which is exactly what you hope for when hosting a child's birthday. We left saying the same thing we did last year: why would we go anywhere else? I sincerely hope my kids never grow out of Safari Run, because we would happily keep hosting parties here for years to come. Huge thank you to Genessa and the entire team for another unforgettable celebration!

I feel like The Lego store at Valleyfair Mall has bigger selection that other Lego stores around…read morethe area. My family likes coming to this store even with the crazy parking situation at the mall. We came in on a very busy day, and the store was packed. There were only a few staff members on the floor and they were trying their best to help everyone. We knew what we wanted to get but the line was still pretty long for purchasing. When we got to the front, the cashier was still friendly, apologized for the long wait, and made sure we got everything we needed. The even with that many people in the store, the shelves still had sets and legos on display but they were going fast. Buying legos are the legos store is a good value since you can build up points if you're a registered member and the price is the same as other stores. Eventually as we were leaving, a staff member was able to gate the customers into the store so that it's not so crowded. The store was still organized and staff was still friendly when we left. This location is great.

There's often a queue to get in due to overcrowding. But that's Valley Fair as a whole these days. That said, the customer service is top notch. I'm always greeted warmly and the employees are very knowledgeable about their products. It's clear they employ LEGO fans, not just those people looking for a job. It is also very well-staffed. Despite all the people coming in and out and the throngs of kids running around and playing with the samples, the floor remains remarkably clear of Legos. Even the Pick a Brick section is clear and tidy. It is hard to knock a LEGO store on prices as it seems LEGO corporate sets very hard lines on pricing and discounts (few and far between). But everything is clearly marked and in line with Amazon and other retailers. If you're brave enough to venture to Valley Fair, and lucky enough to score a parking spot, a visit to the LEGO store is well worth it especially if you've got kids in tow.
