My wife and I stopped here for lunch because of the positive reviews and variety on the menu. The food was great and the service was excellent too. My one issue is we are in the middle of a pandemic and the way they are seating people is not good considering the restaurant has at least 30-40 tables/booths. Why are they seating people on top of each other when there is ample space to distance every party? As soon as we were seated I told my wife we have to move. I had my hope up a little bit about this place. Hoping they were good because they were so packed. Well I was disappointed. :( I ordered the bullfish spicy shrimp, the 16oz prime rib and the crab cake entree. And to sum it up in all one word? Salty. Like everything was salty. From the shrimp to the cheese grits to even the bread. The bread was sprinkled ( more like covered) with sea salt. So why did I give this place 2 stars? One star for value. It was big portions and was reasonably priced. The other star is for their crab-cakes and pecan brittle sweet potatoes. Unlike other restaurant I have tried (except Canoe) it was a lot of crabs pieces and pretty chunky as well. The pecan brittle was a nice change from all the salt so maybe that's why I liked it so much. Lol ;) Also, because everything was so salty I drank all my water and my waitress didn't refill it. Service was horrible. My waitress literally drop off stuff and ran. So I barely see her and barely can stop her in time to ask for anything. She run off way too fast. The waiter also took my order in a timely fashion, and I received my food within 10 minutes. So far, so good! The food, however, was what shattered my expectations. We didn't have to wait for a table, which was nice for Wednesday night of Thanksgiving Week. The bread for our table was delicious. We split an appetizer of the big mozzarella sticks. They were great, but wish they didn't put the marinara sauce in the bottom of the plate because it made them get a little soggy. My husband ordered a sirloin with a side of the white cheddar mashed potatoes for dinner. I ordered the smaller of the two prime rib steaks with the side of white cheddar mashed potatoes. Our dinner also came with a salad. The honey vinaigrette is pretty good, but a little odd. My prime rib was delicious and cooked perfectly. The white cheddar mashed potatoes were very heavy and dense, not a fluffy texture like most mashed potatoes. The white cheddar had made it super heavy, plus tasted bland and very underseasoned and a little dry. It needed something to help balance out the heaviness of the white cheddar. My husband's sirloin was good, but not amazing or worth the price. Honestly, the whole meal was overpriced for the quality of food and the service we received. Some people may enjoy this place, but it just was not for our liking. Hope others have a better experience than us! read more
