Stopped in after long drive & 1st restaurant we went to was closed (this was before 7pm) picked this one next. Got the special which was New Orleans salmon, came with 2 sides, topped with Cajun sauce & grilled shrimp. Nothing short of amazing. Had the white cheddar mashed potatoes which were also amazing and steamed broccoli which even my husband tried and said it was pretty good & he hates anything green! Been eating in pigeon Forge for 7 years. Tried bullfish for the first time yesterday. Appetizer was the spinach and veggie dip which was delicious. The entree was fish and chips which was average,I had that dish in dozens of other places and very few are excellent. This was decent but not above many others. I've eaten almost every item on the Bullfish menu. Except the new items although I've had one when they ran it as a special. I've also tried a lot of their house cocktails. This has got to be my favorite restaurant Pigeon Forge. I recommend you eat THERE. I dont recommend you get DoorDash. The managing partner is charging $2 more for desserts, $5-6 more for salads, $6 more for entrees, and $10 more for steaks on DoorDash than if you ate there. No sir. As a restaurant GM, I can tell you take out containers dont cost that much, especially the cheap styrofoam ones they were using last time I was there. If they want to gouge the tourists and locals like this, they dont deserve our business. That is OUTRAGEOUS. See photos of their website vs DoorDash. And for those that dont know, restaurants set their prices on DD. A small increase to cover take out costs is normal. Not $10 per plate. Shameful. I hope they address this and take immediate action. While trying to find a restaurant to accommodate a large party at peak dinner time(without reservations-poor on us, I know) we happened to drive by Bullfish and it didn't look crowded. We came here and not going to lie didn't have high expectations since it was empty at peak diner hour. They got us seated quickly and our server was great. The food was delicious!! Honestly one of the best meals we had at any restaurant here. I would definitely come back again if we ever come back to Pigeon Forge! We have been coming to Bullfish Grill for a few years now. I hesitate giving such a good review because I know people will flock to there! But this restaurant deserves all the foot traffic honestly. The restaurant is clean and has lots of booths. They do a terrific job of moving people but you don't feel rushed whenever you're eating. We don't have to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Our waiter quickly greeted us and took our order.checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. We never felt like we had to "hunt him down" for anything. I ordered the shrimp and grits. I will only get a shrimp and grits at this place. It's flavorful and amazing!!! My husband ordered the rainbow trout with sweet potato and creamed spinach. The chips were whole fried corn tortillas. The beer cheese was good but was weird with the chips. The waitress brought out bread which was amazing by itself and with the beer cheese. Shrimp and fish was good. The hush puppies were good with a nice crispy shell. The fries were seasoned. Fried chicken was cooked to perfection. Had a good batter with seasoned fries. Steak seemed to be missing something but was still really good. The grits were cheesy and yummy. Gumbo was so good. I only added hot sauce. It had a rich flavor. We also got the pecan crusted sweet potatoes. They were smooth and tasty. They seemed more like a dessert. The waitress was really nice. We were sat in a both in the bar area up top. We had the air blowing right on us and it was pretty cold. Was asked to be moved and the server was nice and had the hostess come get us. The hostess seemed upset that we asked to be moved and was not very friendly. Once sat again it took a little while before we were greeted by our server who seemed confused we were there, but he was very nice throughout our entire meal. We received the bread for the table and the accompanying plates to go with it. All but one plate was dirty. We had a blackberry lemonade that was very delicious and a strawberry margarita that was way too sweet. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the Cajun shrimp pasta. Both were good but not stellar. The mushrooms seemed like they came from a can and both dishes were very oily. Overall not a bad restaurant, but the price and quality compared to other places in the area makes this a 2 star as I would not return here for another meal with so many better options. read more

We recently had dinner at Bullfish Grill. We arrived a little early for our reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server, Shawn, did an excellent job. He asked the kitchen staff if they could alter a menu entree and they were able to do so. The sautéed shrimp and pimento cheese grits were delicious. My husband loved his trout. My husband mentioned it was my birthday, so I received a birthday chocolate cake. We really enjoyed our visit and wished that we could come to this restaurant more often. I visited this restaurant on my last day in Gatlinburg with my friends. Our appetizers tasted great. I had the tuna stack which was actually pretty good. My friends ordered oysters, and shrimp and said those were also great. However when it came to our main meal everyone agreed it lacked in seasonings. My burger had no flavor at all. It was cooked great but didn't have a great taste. All around the table it was a consensus that the food lacked salt, pepper, and other seasonings. One of my friends got the pork chops and was not a fan either. Honestly I believe they have a strong seafood chef and need a tad more help in the other areas. The seasoning was slight so I could really enjoy the beef taste. The bleu cheese dressing was also mild - no bite. This was perfect to dab on the salad and beef. I've been here twice now with my parents and it is one of our favorite spots in Pigeon Forge. It's a nice retreat from the typical fried food in this area and there are so many fresh options like the pistachio encrusted trout. I also like the crab cakes and their creamed spinach is incredible. They serve fresh bread with your meal and have a great list of local beers and cider. The hot bread was good, but I didn't need the salt on top. I'm originally from Mississippi, and I was really craving oysters, so I ordered them, and it was a mistake. The oysters looked great but didn't taste quite right and gave me horrible acid reflux. My husband got the beer cheese appetizer. It was good but tasted more like queso instead of a rich, hearty beer cheese. We split the Gumbo for an entree, and it was really delicious and had great flavor. This restaurant was within a walking distance from our hotel, so we walked here for lunch. It's really spacious inside, and at 1pm it wasn't busy at all. The hostess immediately walked us to our booth and our server took no time to come to our table with a menu. She was very courteous and patient as we studied the menu. I was pretty indecisive on what to order cause everything on the menu sounded good. So we started off with drinks first. I got the Mango Habanero Margarita made of Ole Smoky Mango Habanero Whiskey, Cointreau, orange juice, fresh lemon and lime juices, with a spicy seasoned salt rim. After a walk on a warm afternoon, that drink was truly refreshing. He got the Yee-Haw IPA from the Yee-Haw Brewing Co and he concluded that it was the best beer he had during our trip. Sadly can't say the same about the food. When I placed my order for the Tuna Rice Bowl, the server gave props to my choice which kind of built my hopes up lol. On paper, the dish sounded amazing with seared rare tuna, pineapple salsa, avocado, wonton crisp, served with a jasmine rice; and the plating was also beautiful. However, I couldn't say I enjoyed the dish. I kept drizzling more and more sauce with every spoonful looking for that kick in my tongue but I couldn't find it. The dish was pretty bland and left much to be desired. He had a better luck with his Seafood Gumbo which claims to be a traditional Southern gumbo with shrimp, blue crab, okra, andouille sausage, with jasmine rice. While he said he enjoyed his gumbo, it was missing the smokiness from bacon that can be achieved only if the roux is made from scratch. Our service was excellent, and we ordered the spinach dip appetizer which is excellent. I consider myself and authority on spin dips, so take that as you may! However, the huge hunk of bread that was brought to the table was unbelievably good!!! I filled up on bread. My hubs filled up on bread. And we brought half of it home!! It was SO GOOD!! My husband had the fried shrimp which he said was really good. He ate most of it, so that's testament to it's quality. I ordered the 10 oz. sirloin which I knew was way too much meat. I wish they had a smaller portion available on the menu. It was cooked to the correct temperature, but wasn't remarkable in taste. It was a decent steak. Period. I refuse to ask for sauces for a steak, but I did S&P it well. Brought 3/4 of it home. I had the grits, on the side, which was excellent. Absolutely the best food we've had in Pigeon Forge! The servers are extremely knowledgable and the food is divine! We've yet to order something we didn't like. They bake fresh sourdough bread in-house and it's so amazing, we buy some to go. After struggling to find a place we really loved in PF that wasn't all fried food or pancakes, this place was a GEM of a find. We've been twice now and both times, we were seated and served quickly.
