I've been to Bullfish Grill 3 years ago and enjoyed it.. and it's been on my list of restaurants to go back to when back in Pigeon Forge....well, it did not disappoint! Party of 3 enjoyed everything. Service was prompt and attentive. We got the chargrilled oysters, ahi tuna and spicy shrimp for appetizers and they were delicious! I enjoyed the steak rice bowl and my friend enjoyed his chicken rice bowl and my BF his seafood gumbo. One of the most satisfying lunch we ever had in Tennessee. It's about a 20 minute walk from the island, at least it's on the same side as the island bridge at least. Called, first time it hung up after one ring, the second time it hung up on the 3rd call and 4th time someone picked up. No reservations, about a 15 minute wait for two people by 5pm. Arrived after 5:30pm, we were able to sit down almost immediately too. Nadia is waiting on us. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, fried green tomatoes and two blackened salmon and avocado salads. Free bread too, eek, more carbs. It's a good thing we have to walk back to the island then. The fresh bread is soft and billowy and hot too. It has some sea salt on the bottom of the loaf. The fried green tomatoes are decent, nice and light breading and nice pairing with the pico, greens, feta and balsamic too. The spinach artichoke dip is okay, not a lot of artichoke and although it's creamy, it's not very flavorful at all. The salmon avocado salad is so-so, the vinaigrette is good. The salmon is fatty, there was at least a fatty strip of fat to cut off of it. The jalapeños and the mushrooms are canned, as the mushrooms are rubbery and the jalapeños are pickled and dripping off jalapeño can juice. Food was decent. Service was good. read more

We got there right after 5 and we were seated right away. Our appetizers came out very quickly. The shrimp appetizer was so good! The parmesean oysters had almost no parmesan. I do not recommend the oysters. The honey vinaigrette dressing was great. The pistachio crusted trout was fantastic!! I would order that 10/10 times. The teriyaki steak kabobs were great. The creamed spinach was great. The desserts were all amazing! We tried the coconut cream pie, key lime pie, and strawberry cake. They were huge pieces and worth the price. It pains me to only give it 3 stars, but I had higher expectations. My steak was decent but I ordered it medium and it was clearly over cooked. I didn't send it back so that's on me. The broccoli was fine. The Caesar salad was fine. It was all fine, just not anything memorable. Our server was a bit out of sorts - taking forever to bring a glass of water, brought out the wrong salad, and sort of disappeared at times. You get three strips of fish and four large shrimp with no tails, seasoned fries, and three hush puppies. Went to eat dinner an hour before they closed. We were told they do not seat outdoors at "night". It was light out and finally cooled off from the day....was perfect weather to sit outside. On a last minute trip we made our way to Pigeon Forge for an early Thanksgiving week getaway. At 4:30 pm on Saturday with our kids rolling into town, we began to look for a restaurant. Bullfish was open and received good reviews on Yelp. So, @5:45 pm, we headed over. We were seated immediately and our waitress quickly greeted us with drink requests. A table of four we had two orders of filet tips, fish and chips and the brisket burger with an appetizer of the ahi tuna tower. The tuna tower came first, it was delicious. They added their customary bread and our salads came out, all very good. When our main dishes came out, everything looked great as seen by the photos. The filet was a little undercooked for a medium request, so be mindful of that. I like mine medium rare so it was perfect for me, but it was not medium. The brisket burger as delicious and the fries were tasty. The report on the fish and chips was the also very good. We got in, got seated, got our food and we're out within an hour. We did not have a great experience here with our food. We sat at the bar as the restaurant was busy for a Sunday night. Bartender was our waiter and was friendly. Whenever we were ready to order we grabbed him and he was accommodating. Appetizer we got were fried green tomatoes and charbroiled oysters. Tomatoes had no flavor and the oysters were not cooked properly. Had to send them back and they still were not cooked 'charbroiled'. All of our entrees were not good either. My family and I were in the area visiting for vacation and came here for an early dinner the other night and we didn't have the best experience. We got bread for the table and it was extremely salty and so were the oysters we ordered. It was almost like I could still taste the sand in the oyster. I ordered the fried seafood platter and the shrimp was too salty as well. I tried to continue eating the food but I lost my appetite. However, our server Augustine was very nice and made sure we were well taken care of. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here but we do appreciate Augustine's great customer service. read more

Wonderful experience. We had the most awesome server. We were in town for a Veteran's Reunion and were also celebrating a birthday. We started out with an appetizer of the CHARGRILLED OYSTERS. They were tasty if you like oysters - evidently our friend loved them because he devoured them all. I ordered the PISTACHIO ENCRUSTED TROUT - it was cooked to perfection. If you like trout you will love it. The wild rice and steamed broccoli were perfect side items. Our friend had the NEW ORLEANS SHRIMP PASTA. He must have loved it because he cleaned his plate. This was a last minute late night decision. We walked in and were seated quickly. Our server was fantastic and really made our meal enjoyable. He checked on us many times and need let our teas empty.
