    Chicken lunch special

Great Food, Great Service, The place has really improved. The value for the money is the best in town. There is also a great Breakfast & Brunch Buffet on Sundays.

    Lunch specials for $10.50

I cannot count the number of times I have driven by Bullock's restaurant. Why had I never made time to enjoy a meal here. The premise has both dine in restaurant, take out and a meat market. On the afternoon my dining companion and I arrived, we found a salad bar for $9.99 with chicken drumsticks and several soups. We elected for the plated meals on this day. My dining companion ordered the two piece fried chicken meal with a roll and side item. My companion selected potato salad. The portion side is great. The fried chicken is awesome. Crispy skin and moist inside. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which is served with fries and one side. I selected cole slaw. This meal was filling and I took home half the fries and cole slaw. The food quality is great. Lunch is definitely a great value for budget minded folks. Order at the counter. Wait for your number to be called and retrieve your meals on trays. It's sort of cafeteria style. We saw all sorts of diners at lunch, including families, couples, business folks, etc. I could tell this was a solid spot and had a following. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone !

    Fried chicken, shrimp and fries

A little Gen X flashback to Ponderosa. Order at the counter. They call your number when the food is ready. We got the fried chicken & shrimp special. It comes with a hot side and unlimited soup and salad bar. Fried chicken was lightly breaded and was good. Decent selection at the salad bar. Several folks in front of me just got the unlimited soup and salad for $9.95. Place is dated and I'm sure that updates are planned. Next to the restaurant is a deli/bakery counter and a separate butcher shop.

    Skimpy barbeque sandwich .

Barbeque sandwich was good, however not much meat. The onion rings were hot and fresh, the Pepsi was really good. It was a great value or Iwould have given then 3 stars. The floor was either old or dirty . The cashier was very friendly.

You can add on shrimp to your entree for $6.95. Surprise! They don't tell you that you only get 3 shrimp. Did I say $6.95?

A great country restaurant on a back country road. The salad bar makes the meal. And enjoy watching those toy trains.

Best open-faced roast beef sandwich around! We drive from Lutherville sometimes just to get some.

My brother and I wanted something for lunch after going to a car swap meet. We landed on Rock Salt Grille. I'd eaten there several times before. We arrived at 11:45 AM (Saturday) and there was a 30 minute wait, so we grabbed two comfortable seats at the bar. A good call. I had the Rock Salt Oysters, broiled with bacon and parmigiana. Delightful. I also had the cream of, and Maryland crab, soup combination. My brother had the crab cake sandwich. I'd had it before, but wanted the oysters. His crab cake sandwich was double the size of any I'd ever seen, without exaggeration. He guessed it was 8 ounces or more, without exaggeration, with no visible filler, (Broiled). I had a few beers and we split the Bread pudding with Grand Marnier sauce. It was enough for four. The bar and food service was spectacular with "tag teaming" to make sure we didn't wait for anything. I'd like to thank the bartenders who served us perfectly: Kelsey and Nikkea. Award winners. Rock Salt is not inexpensive, but the quality of the food and the great service justify the premium. I'll be back more often

They legit served me a burger with a ramekin of French onion soup as a dipping sauce. I just about smacked myself for never thinking of this genius activity. We usually stick to the bar but sat in the dining room this time, which was nicely decorated and set a great tone. Then the little things started adding up. The roasted beet appetizer was tasty but had virtually none of the promised goat cheese. The bread was delicious... but it came with the kind of individual butter packets you'd find at a breakfast buffet. For an elevated dining experience, that's a small but noticeable miss. The bigger hiccups came with the entrees. My husband's salmon on his salad was overcooked, and my filet came out well done when I ordered medium. To his credit, our waiter noticed before I even said anything and took it back... but the replacement came out beyond rare. Silver lining: the sizzling skillet actually saved the day. I sliced it up and finished it right on the skillet, bringing it up to somewhere between mid-rare and medium which is right where I like it. Crisis averted, but it shouldn't have come to that. The scalloped potatoes looked a little questionable at first glance, looked a little like there was just a slice of melted cheese on top... but they were actually really good once we dug in. Our waiter was attentive and genuinely kind throughout, which made the experience much easier to shake off. We've had better visits here before and we'll definitely be back to give it another shot.... every one has an off night here and there.

Went for St Patty's Day ... it was just okay…read more The potato soup was good but they must be putting the potatoes in a blender. As it was more of a puree. I ordered the fish & chips. The sad part is you would get 2 nice pieces of fish and waffle fries. Now it's two fish sticks and a small amount of regular fries. Obviously the price is the same which sadly is a bad deal. Sorry but I won't be back. 1 beer , 1 cider , fish & chips, 2 cups of patio and the loaded fries were $60. And had to pick up a sandwich on the way home. No value ... don't understand what happened ... it's cod ... it's cheap. Change the price a buck or two if needed but cutting the portion by by 4/6s is sad

It's clean and dark and warm. I wasn't expecting a Cheers welcome but we weren't even created when we walked in. The hostess was at her stations all the way inside the bottom floor. The hostess was polite when we approached and sat us upstairs per our request. That's where the spell of the place evaporated. We sat about 10-15 minutes before our server made it to us. (The place was not busy outside of the bar down stairs. When she asked us what we wanted to drink my friend ordered I said "I need a second what do you recommend between...." she interrupted and said "I'll be back." It took 20 minutes to come back with his drink (Guinness in a warm beer glass) I asked for water, she didn't acknowledge me and walked away. I tried to get her attention for the next 20 minutes so we could order. She would walk past us. I tried to flag her down again nothing. After about 40 minutes she came back to take our order. We were still hoping to turn the trip around as we were excited about the menu. We ordered the shelpards pie potato skins, a bowl of cream of crab soup, a steak and the bangers stew. By the time our food made it to us we had been sitting almost an hour and a half. The soup was amazing. It was hot it was tasty the crab was forward, I really enjoyed it. The skins were mid. Some were over cooked some were just right. All of them were cold. It seemed like they were pre cooked and frozen to be reheated later. The steak was over cooked and all but flavorless. The potatoes were just wet mashed potatoes. And the beans were equally as bland. Non of it was hot. The bangers stew was... Almost edible. The potatoes. Good, onions and carrots and meat. All tasty on their own. The sauce though was ungodly sweet. So sweet that it made the rest inedible. All in all we were there for almost 2 hours. We were $91 into our tab. By the time the food came, we asked for our ticket and some boxes. We tried a few bites and left. I probably won't ever go back.
