I was so pleasantly surprised by Bumper 2 Burger. I ordered the Bumper Burger and seasoned fries. THESE WERE THE BEST FRIES I'VE EVER HAD. It was the highlight of our meal! The fries were perfectly seasoned! It was a classic Cajun flavor but I appreciated that it wasn't overly salty. The crisp was PERFECT and it was highly addicting. I'd probably just make the trip just for the fries. They also give you a heaping amount which is perfect for sharing. The burger was good, nothing really to write home about. The sauce on the burger reminded me a little of Mcdonald's Big Mac sauce or In-N-Out's famous sauce so I loved it! I'll definitely try more. We went through the drive through, it was a tad slow but not a big deal for us. I loved the packaging- it was a box that turned into a makeshift plate which was so convenient since we ate in our car. I love that they also branded their burger bun with their logo. Very original! Prices were fair for the portions. Just as a heads up, I believe it also varies depending on market prices. Bumper 2 Burger opened up in the summer of 2019. The burgers are decent. It taste very similar to Five Guys. The cool part of the restaurant is the stamp that is on top of the bun. Last time I ordered fries they tasted stale. If you want a good halal burger where they are doing it right and fresh, this is the place to go to. Same exact concept as Five Guys but Halal meat. The fries are decent but at times kinda hard. From a food standpoint, it's a five star for quality and freshness. I took 1 star away because there are only a few tables and each time the door opens, there is always a breeze. If they had a better setup in regards to seating, it would be easy 5 stars in my eyes. Got the classic Bumper 2 Burger, great quality! I also recommend getting the seasoned fries; I just got the salted ones, but they were still pretty good. Some of these previous reviews say it took them 20 minutes to get their order out, but mine was ready in less than 3 minutes with the staff at the time. Granted, there were only making one order at the time - note that I ordered around 7pm. Woulda been 5 stars if their shake machine was working, they said it was down for the day. The worst cheesesteak ever, for $8.25 you'd think you'd get good meat, not rubber. The bun was so soggy but the meat was like cardboard. My stomach hurts after eating here. Manager is terrible, they really need new management. The young guy in the front claims he's manager, the way he treats customers shows he's an amateur. Who calls their loyal customer a smart ass, and then threatens them for no reason? Never coming back and you guys should all think twice before coming here. As usual, I was excited to find yet another halal burger spot! Interestingly, located right by Zak's. Much nicer interior than Zak's; three of the walls are windowed, making for good lighting. Granted this place is new, but I hope they maintain the cleanliness of this place. I like the red seats. We ordered a regular hamburger and a Bumper Burger. Only difference between Bumper Burger and hamburger is cheese; this should be listed somewhere, or there should be more differentiation between the two. Good patty, but would have liked some pink in the meat. Nice touch with branding on bun, but my burger was a bit squished in the foil wrapping. Speaking of which, everything is served takeout style in a paper bag; no trays or plates. As others have said, the portion size of the fries is very generous. We got a regular size to share, but even then we had leftovers. The seasoning was okay, but not phenomenal. Limited burger menu; no specialty burgers like Zak's, but they have Philly steak, grilled chicken, and hot dogs if you want something other than a beef patty. Since they don't do specialty burgers, I would recommend adding a couple more topping options like beef bacon and fried egg. read more

This was one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time! Everything about this place was perfect. I got the double Bumper Burger. The burgers were perfectly juicy. The chef told me that they never freeze their burgers and that they are made fresh. Their Bumper sauce was really really good and had a slight kick to it. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They're cooked in peanut oil, which definitely made the fried taste a lot cleaner and better than any most places. And I also got the chocolate shake which was perfect! On top of that, everything on the menu is Zabiha Halal, which means they have some really high quality meat. They have a beautiful seating area inside, and a drive-thru. They also told me that they will be accepting orders online very soon. I would highly recommend this place! This burger was so delicious. The homemade patty was perfect, cuts like butter. The shake went well with the burger and fries were enough to share. My burger had sautéed mushrooms and onions, the cheese melted on smooth providing a gooey cheese bite after bite. I love the branding on the brioche bun. They wrap the burgers in foil- kind of reminds of the authentic burger joint on the south side of chicago w/ that big paper bag of fries. Sometime I see kids come after school just for the fries with cheese sauce on the side. The place is clean (for now). Staff was friendly. Lots of burger options to choose from. read more

Much too expensive for what is just a decent burger. The fries were extremely dry. We received what appeared to be a whole bunch of "extra" fries in the bottom of the bag. Not sure if this is normal but I ended up (sorry to say) throwing them away because they were very very dry, mostly flavorless. The dining area is dirty. The girl behind the counter was very nice. Took a little long to get my food. So I paid 25$ for two burgers and very blah fries. Could have gone to McDonald's and burger would have been comparable and only paid 15$. I guess the draw is that the food is Halal. As near as I can tell that is the only reason this place is still open after a few years. There is a constant stream of customers here that isn't explained by the quality of the food. read more

Decent food, a bit overpriced. My main complaint is, if you drive thru it typically takes at least a half hour, so I tried calling an order in... 1st call rang and rang, I assumed they were busy and couldn't answer the phone. So I called back 5 mins later and it rang twice they picked up and hung up. I called back 2 more times and got the same thing. I set up an online order and after my order was setup the site said we're not taking online orders at this time, which was frustrating because now I'm about 20 mins into this attempted order. Been waiting for this place to open down the street from work. I'll get right to the chase. The food, there was only one other person waiting, order to table was 7 minutes. Not bad for a fresh cooked burger. I got the bumper burger with everything. Typical cheeseburger, not too big but I'm ok with that. Was very fresh tasting (dry your lettuce, hint hint), good beef flavor. The fries as others mentioned were enough for 4 people. Literally! See photo. I got the seasoned fries and they were absolutely perfect! Fried to perfection and just enough seasoning. Burger, fries and a drink were just shy of $15, but if you came with someone and split a fry, it's a deal. I'll probably give this place a second shot one of these days to prove themselves but so far they are 0/1 with me. They don't have their act together over there. The experience was not good. Considering it was my first time ever ordering there I was hoping that they would at least get the order right. They were not real busy and there were enough people working there but they all seemed like total amateurs. The order was placed online which is super easy to follow. No special requests except for "please put the sauce on the side" which was was not done or on the burger so no sauce at all. I ordered two cups of cheese for the fries and the guy handed me the bag with one cup inside there. If I didn't pay $1.00 for the clump of paste they call cheese I would have left it alone. The burger itself was decent. Not real hot though so maybe it was ready for a while while I stood waiting for my order. The burger was a little pricey for what you get. The quality of the meat was decent. They may have a good product at the end of the day but you may never know it because the staff doesn't seem like they know what they are doing and it will be mistake riddled. With all of the choices out there for burgers you need to be really good at something to stand out. This place has nothing to offer that you can't get at Culver's for less money and more consistency. Wasn't sure if they were even open yet but decided to stop in and see. Pretty basic menu nothing fancy or crazy just the basics; burgers, chicken, hot dogs, fries, etc. Ordered the bumper 2 burger which is just a double quarter pounder and all I can say is wow. If I've had a better burger in the last 2 years I couldn't tell you where I went. It reminds me of a 60's (no I'm not that old) classic burger place, just simple food made right. The fries are a bit thicker than many places but had a nice crispy bite to them and are available salted or seasoned. Didn't order a milkshake but definitely will next time, they ever have what looks to be some kind of liquid oxygen setup to keep the shakes cold and thick. No it doesn't get added but has chilled pipes that go into the mixing bowls. In all seriousness this place is what chains like steak and shake should aspire to be. From the reviews I assumed that the regular fries would have much more in the bag. I didn't care for the seasoning that was used(Cajun I think) but,it tastes exactly like the 5 guys Cajun fries. The burger tastes like 5 guys as well. I didn't like the hot dog,the actual meat had no flavor at all,all of the toppings couldn't make up for that. I'll admit, I'm not the biggest burger guy in the world but I will say that ever since young, I loved Fuddruckers for the fact you could smack on all of these toppings but also have some fairly quality beef. Once the ones in our areas closed down, I guess I started to crave burgers a bit more, but didn't want BK. I came across this place due to some friends mentioning it and decided to give it a try. I can say the reviews here are on point, the meat is tasty, seasoned just right and the fries (I had the seasoned) aren't overly crispy and are still seasoned well with just the right around of 'potatoy-ness'. The only reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is I honestly thought the burgers would have been a little bigger, I know I like to eat a lot, but eating just one burger couldn't do any normal man justice. Maybe the double or perhaps two of the singles could. Would I come back though? Absolutely. Service was friendly, and since the order was placed online, when I pulled up to their drive-through, they just let me pick it up through their window. I was looking for a good burger at a good value. This was an average, overpriced burger with poor service. $32 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks. It's fast food. The inside menu consisted of two burgers with identical pictures and no description of either (Bumper to Bumper Burger and Hamburger). Asked the server and she was inaudible behind her mask and couldn't explain the difference. Best I could differentiate, after asking several times, is they were identical, except the Bumper to Burger had cheese. I'm still not sure if that's accurate, and by all indications, the server wasn't either. Atmosphere is a diner, it was cold and unwelcoming. Find someplace else would be my recommendation. read more
