First time here. Tried the bumper burger and Philly steak sandwich. It was good/average. It's a typical burger place.

Been here a little over a handful of times. For me it was always a 20-25 minute wait whether it was drive thru, pick up or dine in (visits usually on the weekends). I typically order 2 burgers, one small salted fries (shareable for two) and two shakes (mocha-chino is my favorite). Honestly every time its delicious and its worth the wait! read more

Always exiting when you a find a local halal serving restaurant. Stopped by after work to give it a go. Disclaimer: by no means do i consider myself a burger 'expert.' My initial impression: Management/ownership can do a better job cleaning up the exterior and the interior. Things look 'run-down' some and i would invest some working capital in this regard. Dining area: This is my opinion only, its a tad close to main st. This is a very busy road during rush hour and you are pretty close to sitting in the dining room. Take it FWIW, but I felt a little uncomfortable. Staff: Excellent, friendly, accommodating. Zero complaints. Great crew! Burger: This is all i ordered. Two dbl hamburgers fetched me about $15 +/-. Im not sure if thats a good/bad deal (considering its halal) but they tasted well. I was pleased with my food and they came with everything i ordered. Burning the bun with your brand is a nice touch IMO. The menu seemed pretty vast and I look forward to trying other things. Overall, i wouldnt flounder on going back again. This is an excellent burger joint in Lombard. The burgers are super juicy and fresh and I love the service here. The owner is usually there all the time and greets me with a smile. The standard single patty bumper burger is usually enough for me. The bun is similar to shake shack and holds up pretty well. The fries are either salted or seasoned to taste. I've usually gotten the seasoned which is a Cajun seasoning. These are akin to five guys fries. The place is usually pretty busy but they have a decent sitting area that's well lit. Drive through is also an option. This is a regular joint for us. Will be going again! read more

I'm always excited to try out a new burger joint, but more than often it's a disappointment. That's definitely not the case with Bumper 2 Burger. I got the Bumper 2 Bumper burger, which was hearty and extremely juicy with every bite. The name of the restaurant stamped on top of the bun was also a nice touch. My wife got the Polish Bumper, which was the best I've ever had. After speaking with management they said that the sausage is cut in half so it's grilled evenly. I really loved their food. But, today I called ahead saying I'd be there in 12 minutes. When I arrived, there was a van in front of me. They asked me to wait three minutes for hot fries. I waited, along with the people behind me, stuck in the drive through lane for over 25 minutes while they were working on the order for the van before I could even pull up & pay. So, my food was cold when I got home. They need to asked ppl w/large orders to pull around to the other side to wait. I can't order ahead and wait another half hour for my food. read more

Per "Hot and New" tag, my family and I decided to go and try this place last night. - Horrible burger patty which after one bite turned into ground beef. - Tasteless burger patty. - Cheap quality burger bun which broke into pieces. Due to their open concept kitchen it is boiling hot inside. Prepare to be toasted while you try to finish your meal. My family had to ask the staff to keep the door opened for ventilation. Got the Bumper 2 Burger (2 patties). Taste was excellent. Texture excellent. Sauce was awesome. Fries are great and you get a TON of them and they are seasoned. Customer service is phenomenal. One of the bags broke accidentally and caused our burgers to fall. They quickly whipped up replacements which were delicious AND gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Recently revisited this place, and they opened up the drive thru which is a great add. I got the bumper 2 bumper with everything on it and grilled mushrooms, mango shake and seasoned fries. The burger was actually well seasoned this time and is probably one of my favorite burger joints now. The meat always tastes really fresh and juicy, and the unlimited toppings option is rly cool so you build your own burger and try something new every time. Mango shake was delicious and had real cut mango pieces in it that tasted ripe and rly fresh, I do suggest the restaurant to start using those wider straws that they use for bubble tea bc the mango pieces kept getting stuck in the straw but definitely worth the first world struggle. Finally I made it to this place. From outside you can't tell that it will be something that good (Small place and easy to cross by). I had it today after hearing so much about it from friends. I want to preface by saying that their burgers are phenomenal. That being said the problem with them is not their food. Their service is absolutely terrible. Previous time I went there 2 other cars and I were in the drive thru for 25 minutes when all I ordered was a burger and fries. Today I went there and there were a total of 3 cars including mine and it took 40 minutes to get our food without any apology or anything. Looked like they were preparing online orders instead of taking car of the cars in the drive thru. Really good burger but there are plenty of places to get a good burger and it's not worth waiting this long for a burger. As someone who attended culinary school I cannot fathom how a burger and fries can take that long. read more

Food is awesome!!! Took forever to get our food and drinks, but it was with it. The manager was HORRIBLE to listen to the entire time. Wouldn't even look at us, was annoyed we ordered shakes and cursed as he talked to his other workers. He then was taking selfie's and barking orders at his team members. If the food wasn't so awesome, this review would definitely be lower. I'd fire the manager and get some energy to the whole team. This was the first time I've ordered here, and I really wanted to try a new Burger/Fry place. I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes, when I finally get up to the window, they took my money and 5 more minutes go by before they give me my food. I got home, and they did not include the burger that I paid for, and the hot dog was inedible. The only good thing was the fries. I tried calling for over 20 minutes when I got home and it just kept ringing, no one picked up the phone. So for my large fry I paid 16 dollars since the burger was missing and the hotdog was inedible. I won't be coming back and I've lived in this area for 40 years, terrible food, terrible service. This was probably one of the best burgers in the Greater Chicagoland area. Plus points: it's halal. You can tell the meat was fresh beef not a frozen patty. If you don't have a bumper burger you are truly missing out. If you get the double cheeseburger, it is double goodness. The fries were good too. I live on the southwest side and found myself up north in Aurora. I'm always looking for a great burger and saw Bumper 2 Bumper. I've never heard of it so decided to give it a try. The best burgers are A1 wagyu or Kobe steak burgers but good look trying to find a great burger. When I read the story of Bumper 2 Bumper, I was encouraged to know they take pride in making their burgers juicy. Bumper 2 Bumper did not disappoint. YUM The burger meat was succulent - bun very thin and soft. Didn't matter about the lettuce, tomatoe and bumper sauce - the only thing I could taste was the meat!
