Came across this pizzeria after having a crappy experience with a previous place near by. So after googling for a few minutes, I found "Buonissima Pizzeria".. I asked for an All White Pizza but no black pepper, The guy taking my order was so nice, even asking if oregano was ok, I said yes, he repeated it all back..I was so happy that they accommodated for a Family member who couldn't have sauce, black pepper and wanted it well done. My teacher 1st grade teacher Ms esposito(I'm 8th grade now btw) said this was her dads workplace and in fifth grade there was a survey at ps205that said u could get a free slice of pizza on a specific day and it was delicious! Strictly on food, the sauce on pizza and calzones are a reminder of the good old days. Tasty and just enough sauce. Fried calzones was more like baked, too doughy but lots of ricotta cheese inside with mozzarella. The pizza was delicious, holds up but again to dough was a little thicker than expected. Rice ball with parmesan was good portion and lots of sauce and cheese but the sauce was sour and salty. Pizza and calzone dough is a little chewy not crisp. Price is very reasonable. The place is clean with neon lights sign outside, came to this place while waiting for the bf to get off work. There was odd bottles of alcohol on the top self... Which makes for an interesting display. The staffs were friendly, they first grill you down to see what might want, then greets you with a nod and smile. The funniest thing about this place is that I am in love for their chicken baked ziti with tomatoes. Like, I completely crave for it. Even think about it several times a week. It is saucy, which I need. The chicken is crisp and warm, and the ziti are not hard and flavorful. I cannot stand pasta that is not flavorful, which kept me eating. Decided to try this because of the reviews & because it's close to my house. I ordered and was waiting on the delivery, I saw the restaurant confirmed it'd take about 45 minutes. I was waiting patiently for my warm pizza pie & the time it was suppoused to arrive passed, then an extra 30 minutes passed. I was ready to call the business and just say forget it. Right then, my bell rang and it was the delivery guy. The pizza looked like it had been out for hours instead of just out the oven. When we are in the mood for pizza or Italian dish, This is our place to order. Their pizza we usually buy the 14" Cheese pizza and we get it cooked just the way we like it. Regular cooked, Not over cooked, not under cooked but regular cooked and we love it. My son loves their Chicken Parm with Baked Ziti dish. When he comes on block leave pass from his military base, that Soldier wants that dish waiting for him when he arrives. We always order it and when he walks in the door he goes straight to check stove top to see if his favorite dish is there waiting for him and that dish is Packed to the top, their portions are amazing and chicken very fresh. My husband loves the Veal Marsala with Linguini and Garlic sauce. I like their Shrimp Parm heroes. Their bread is always soft and taste very fresh. Delivery is good. When they are very very busy Fri - weekend you have to wait a little longer but its worth the wait. Guys are very polite and friendly when taking your orders. I have tried many pizzeria around the neighborhood but when I found Buonissima pizza, thats it we stood with them. Hope they continue to do their pizza and food they way they are doing it now AWESOME! Don't change the ingredients or the cooks. Ok it's a horrible service there. We were waiting for our order more than a hour. We ordered at 3:40pm a diner but was 5:10pm already and we should go home it's no reason to wait more than a hour and called to cancel our order because it was even our fault. And we are just like 10-15 min from there on 16ave. More than a hour to delivery or well maybe I don't know , perhaps it's ok for Buonissima. Then when I canceled order because 2 of my colleagues left home, I will not pay for them, they told me that we will never get a delivery anymore. Never was a big fan of this place. First time I ordered with my boyfriend and the food tasted very blend. I decided to give it another try, so I order for lunch with my coworkers but this time I was in for a surprise. I ordered grilled chicken Alfredo. I always have leftover pasta for the next day (and it tastes just as good the second time). Delivery time is a little long, but well worth the wait knowing it will come fresh.
