I honestly don't know why this pizzeria has such a low rating. I spontaneously visited today, as my family and I felt for pizza. As we arrived, I noticed plenty of seating indoors. We sat and waited, as our slices were out in the oven. I ordered 2 bacon alfredo slices, a white slice, philly cheese steak slice and Zeppole's. We waited no longer then 10 minutes. Everything was fresh, and had its own twist to it in flavors which I enjoyed. The Zeppole's are also something to talk about . I usually see the round ones being sold, but these were more square. They were hot, fresh, doughy, soft and sweet. The entire meal was an absolute HIT. I'm glad I gave this place a try. Total for everything was $16.50. read more

I've ordered from Knapp Pizza 2 twice now through Uber Eats, and both times my chicken and broccoli rabe sub arrived without the fresh mozzarella that's clearly listed in the item description. After the second time, I called to let them know the order was made incorrectly, and I was told it was somehow my fault because "they don't write the descriptions on Uber Eats." That doesn't make sense- who else would be writing the description for their menu items? I was also told that if I want the sandwich "a certain way," I should call directly. If the food is going to be made differently from what's advertised on Uber Eats, then the restaurant probably shouldn't be using the platform. So unhappy to report, first words out of delivery driver's mouth is to ask me how I was going to tip him!? As if I've ever stiffed anyone on a delivery?? Oh well, guess I won't be ordering any more food from there! So then I asked him if I can have a receipt, after I handed him cash tip & he starts getting back into car to leave. I am a teacher at a local D75 High School. My class likes to celebrate birthdays and holiday breaks with a pizza party. I am so glad that Knapp Pizza II is in my local school community. The pizza is fresh and well made, the service is outstanding (the drivers are always polite and always phone my cell when they are outside the school), and deliveries are always either on time, or followed up on in a thorough and timely manner. My class generally prefers the classic cheese pie, which is delicious! We also have tried the chicken fingers and fries (huge portion, well prepared) and the grandma pie. I cannot recommend this pizza place highly enough! read more

Came here the other day wanting pizza and was in the area. The fresh smell of pizza draws you in through their door even tho the doors were closed. They had just opened when I enter, everything opening up, fresh, hot and clean. I did noticed none of the staff behind the pizza counter was wear gloves. The man handled the pizza and money/credit card without gloves or washing hands. It was sort of acceptable pre-Covid but now I find it a bit alarming. Money was always dirty but it wasn't as alarming or disturbing as now. Pizza was hot and delish. Ordered: Grandma slice, Mona Lisa slice and a Vodka slice. They should step up their sanitary game with gloves or constantly hand washing. Or one designated cashier to handle the register and touching people's payment. The best thing about this place is their garlic knots! But only when they're dripping in oil :) My husband will make a 20 minute one way trip just to get these for me, but he usually forgets to make the request so they're just kinda oily lol We also decided to try their fresh mozzarella pizza. I am disappointed to say that it was not good. Not really sure how to describe the sauce, but we didn't really like it even though the pizza was nicely sauced. The crust/dough was also a bit disappointing. We might try something else at some point, but for now I will stick to the garlic knots. read more

Ok, I know that this is a pizzeria and I should review their savory items... but their tiramisu? It took me to a whole new world (during COVID-19, can you believe that?). I have been on the hunt for amazing tiramisu in Brooklyn for god knows how long, and who knew that my prayers would be answered at a pizzeria? First of all, the tiramisu is so cute - packaged in a little clear cup so you can see the different layers from the outside, and it's also great for delivery purposes. The taste is really phenomenal too... creamy with enough coffee flavor but not to the point where it makes the dessert soggy with coffee pooled at the bottom. I could probably eat 10 of those in one day, but it's $4.50 for one so... While I am absolutely in love with their tiramisu, their pizza can use some work. I'm disappointed to say that I've never tasted a pizza slice as salty as theirs. However, their garlic knots are pretty decent - packed with a bunch of garlicky goodness but a bit on the oily side. They sell it a bit differently compared to other pizzerias that I've been to. One order for $3.50 gets you about 10-15 pieces of bite sized garlic knots in a tray for $3.50. read more

Square pie is much smaller than the box, an inch and a half horizontally and an inch and a half vertically. This never happened before. Also note that the sauce is more orange than red. It looks like Chef Boy-Ar-Dee and tastes like it too. I even called to complain and the young woman on the other end said that the size and the recipe have not changed for over 25 years. This was my first time ordering at this location. I have been to the Marine Park location and had a decent experience so I wanted to give this one a try. I ordered a large cheese pizza for pickup. I showed up to pickup and let the employees at the counter know that I was picking up a Doordash order for Ada. They looked around and couldn't seem to find it. They only had a Doordash order for Elisa ready. Obviously, I said that wasn't me. After a minute or two of looking further, they popped open the box for Elisa and found the cheese pie in there. On my way out, one employee said under their breath, but loud enough to hear, "next time put the right name on your receipt". I would REALLY like to know who has that much time on their hands to waste time like that - create an account under another name, pay for food on it, and then show up to pick up with their own to cause trouble lol. I frequent this location, due to it being so close to my house. I normally don't have any issues. The workers are very nice and accommodating and the food is pretty steadily decent. They have really good pizza. I recently ordered delivery and ordered quite a bit of food. I ordered the seafood pasta as well as the seafood salad. The sauce on the pasta was quite watery and the clams did not open up. The seafood salad was very overdressed and when I opened the bag the dressing leaked out. I almost never have an issue with their food. I will give this establishment more chances, but I do hope this was isolated and I don't have this experience again. read more

Take out date: January 24, 2014 Ordered take out from here when I went to visit my cousin in Brooklyn! We ordered an eggplant pie and a plain cheese pie. I didn't have a slice of the plain pizza, but I ate 3 slices of the eggplant pizza, because it was insanely good and I decided I was going to be a pig. The eggplant pie had a perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, and eggplant. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, not overcooked or undercooked. There seemed to be minimal seasoning/spices on the pie but with Italian I find the food can still be great without a lot of seasoning/spices added to it. We had the thick crust which was also cooked perfectly and just wonderful. The eggplant pie here is a beautiful thing! First let me start off saying the food is very good. But our experience last night was terrible. It was a Sunday night. Called in an order at 5 PM for delivery, Was told it would be an hour. At 6:15 still no food. Called and they said it was going out at that time and would take about 20 minutes. 6:45 still no food. Then we were told it was on the van for delivery with one other order. We were ready to cancel. Food came at 7:15. It was cold and missing one dish. Three of us had to share one entree. We were very hungry by this time. Called them again and they said they would give us a credit for the missing food. I went in to the place in person the next day and spoke to a manager. She was very nice and apologetic and gave us a $30 credit. But that did not make up for the aggravation the day before.
