For someone reason I had a $400 copay and after still got billed $40. When I asked for a price break down, the front desk lady just said "it's a copay." Not helpful at all. Anyways, fast forward to my procedure day, Dr. Mizin couldn't find my vein and dug into my arm, shrugged, and just said oh let me try again. It was a cold response. He did not warn me that he would cut the muscles in my mouth. I found out two weeks after at my post op. I couldn't open my mouth bigger then 1/2 inch. I recently had gum recession surgery with Dr. Sedler, and I cannot recommend her enough. I was so…read morenervous about the experience, but from start to finish, the entire experience exceeded my expectations (if that's even possible for a gum recession procedure!). She has a gift for communication -- she explained everything thoroughly so I always felt informed, while at the same time shielding me from unnecessary worry during the procedure. She talked me through the entire procedure in such a calm and reassuring way that I felt comfortable the whole time. Her assistant was equally wonderful -- so kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the process. Together, they made me feel genuinely cared for as a patient, not just another appointment. Sometimes it feels rare to find a doctor/dentist who has great technical skill and offers such compassion, and I feel truly grateful to have been in her care.
