It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. And from someone who hates eating at counters most of the time, that's saying a lot that I would suggest it as a viable option. Overall, this is the dream place for those like Tara who can't get enough of pancakes and a damn good option for those like me who are content to keep their amateur status intact by only occasionally indulging in the Swedish signature dish.

Spent about 3 months going back and forth with a client from our offices here in Cypress and their offices in Corona and the Burger Basket, CLEARLY became one of my favorite burger joints there. Not only are ALL of the items set at really good prices, but they are VERY generous with meals!! The food, while MAYBE listed as fast food, is NOTHING like McDonald's or Wendy's or any of those. The food is ACTUALLY COOKED--not reheated!! The size portions of the meals are MASSIVE and their baskets of fries are quite hefty. Even tried to go a little healthy and got their grilled chicken salad one day.. and WHOA!! It was like a platter!! For being such a tiny, non-flashy fast food establishment... the food and service from this place blows all of the fast food major chains in the area out of the water!!! I love burger basket! Been coming here for years and love the staff who always say hi and are very friendly. I usually go there for breakfast (they give you a ton of food ) and also accommodate ordering egg whites when I'm wanting to eat healthier. When ordering from the drive thru, I have never had them mess up an order and although there can be a line of cars, they move you through fairly quickly. Also, I will eat their burger and fries any day...it blows away the junk that you get from mc donalds or any other fastfood joint. The fries are medium cut, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The kids also love burger basket vs. any other fast food chain. I write reviews often on burger joints and some probably don't deserve one, but Burger Basket absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. Oh man, where do I start? I think the main reason why Burger Basket deserves 5 stars is because of it's Great Food on a consistant basis. Consistancy is the key. I have been eating here for five years and I don't remember one time where I felt the food was not excellent. I also love their shakes and noticed that they are made from real ice cream and not that soft serve junk. As long as they keep their quality high, I will always remain a loyal customer. read more

Had the chili fries and a chicken taco today. First I want to say the chili is off the hook!!! WOW!! Not only delicious but the flavor lingers in your mouth. I work just a couple of streets down from Burger Basket and I feel very lucky that my work is so close to this place. I get to eat delicious food within walking distance. On the weekends, I still bring my family for breakfast burritos. The nice part about this place is that breakfast is served all day. I've been on a tight budget and Los Armando's gives the best value Cali Burrito in town which includes Sour Cream, Guacamole, and a complimentary Snowman of three delicious different Salsas (Verde, Roja, and Chipotle) Other Mexican Restaurants charge extra to add on Guacamole but I love how generous Los Armandos is with including all our favorite Mexican Fuerza Ingredients in their Signature Burritos, and I appreciate how they make the Cali Burritos with skinny fries too which makes each bite feel more exquisitely refined! The Burrito Portion is very generous and was able to last me two days, and I like how neatly wrapped my meal was too and served at the appropriate piping hot temperature to fully annihilate my late night Mexican Gladiator Fuel cravings ;0) Thank you to the Los Armando's Team for being so meticulously organized and generously kind with providing us the best rainbow of Sexy Variety for our hard earned bucks! Was greeted right away after coming in. Friendly service and they answered all questions when ordering. I had the half super nachos as pictured. They were good. Tacos were very good. Meat had good flavor. The quesabirrias were okay. Good rice, not so great beans. They tasted like they cool be from a can. The aguas were fantastic! We got an horchata and Jamaica. The horchata likely had dairy in it which made it that much better. Lots of people going in and out picking up food after work. Not many taco spots with drive thrus but this place seemed like they made it work. Not too quiet or loud inside. Easy parking right upfront

Their lot is very small, but there is some street parking. The man who took my order was very nice. The customers were a mixed bag. There were some guys who appeared to be hardworking blue collar workers of some type who were quiet and just enjoying their lunch. There were also some women who looked like white collar office workers and they were super loud and rude. There were also some older people who came in for take out. Overall, it was a bit noisy. The shredded chicken taco was a pretty standard hard taco. The shell was crispy after a long drive home on top but of course soggy on the bottom. The chicken was good quality and decent flavor. The taquitos were just ok. The ones made elsewhere, especially at most places in San Diego, are much better. Some places in the San Gabriel valley also make these a different style but better. However, the guac & sour cream at El Torero to go with the taquitos are far superior to San Gabriel and comparable to San Diego. If you want tacos, burritos, and other such type food and don't want the Americanized stuff, this is a good place to try if in the area. Not in this area often, but if there, would go to El Torero again.

Went here for lunch because my sister had been wanting to try it for a while…read more Parking is a little weird because it's shared with a 7/11 convenience store and some spots are specifically reserved for 7/11. Still, I was able to find a spot quickly. Walking in, there's a sign that says "Wait to be seated", but when the waitress came out, she said we could sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth by the window. I don't know how old this restaurant is, but I could tell that the booth we chose was really popular because the leather seats were so worn down that they had to patch some of the holes up. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately given menus, water, chips, and salsa. The salsa was really spicy, though, so as much as we love chips and salsa and would normally have finished it all off before our actual meal came, we could only eat half of it. Across from us was a big family of Latinos which for me was a good sign. After all, if they're Latino themselves, they could easily just make the same food at home, but if the food here was good enough for them to come here instead, then the food had to be decent. Since I'm vegetarian, I had to ask for them to not put meat in my enchilada, so the waitress just made it a cheese one. If you're vegetarian like me, there's not really much on the menu for us, but at least they're accommodating enough to leave the meat out if you ask. If you're vegan, you're really out of luck since it seems everything will have at least melted cheese on top. All of the food came out quickly and at the same time, which is appreciated since not all restaurants do that. In addition, the portions were big enough for us to eat most of it there, then be full enough to want to take the rest of it home, which makes up for the cost since it is a little expensive. Again, I don't know how old the restaurant is, but you could tell it's been aged through the years, like the paint is peeling off or splattered with what looked like salsa. Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. On the other hand, if it's been around long enough to go through that kind of wear and tear, it's a testament to the loyalty of its customers. Plus, they do try to make it look nice with balloons, flowers, and flags. And they try to clean up the tables as soon as people are done eating. I just finished eating my leftovers and it tasted as good as it did when I ate it at the restaurant. So the food is good, the sizes, especially for the cost, are decent. Just know that the place is a little worn down, but the employees try their best to smile, be friendly, and quick to attend to your needs.
