Since there is no menu online...

So, yeah. A little history about your old buddy Paul (me). I grew up in a tiny crap town that had... just nothing. One or two restaurants, a couple of fast food places and a Pizza Hut. Less than 5k people. Not a lot going on there. But one thing we did have that I have missed since I left (seriously, I bolted the minute I was out of High School) was the local Dairy Queen. As you may or may not know, Dairy Queen restaurants are all franchised, so you can get wildly different quality from one to the next. If you can even find one nowadays. And if you do find one, you've got about a 60/40 chance that it'll suck if you're ordering anything other than a Blizzard. Which brings us to Burger Box. Why bring up Dairy Queen you ask? Because Burger Box reminds me of those old great Dairy Queen restaurants from when I was younger. Heck, this one is even in an old former Dairy Queen location, but that's neither here nor there. They've got all the things you would expect. Steak Fingers with cream gravy. Steak sandwich. Chicken Strip basket. Ice Cream scoops or floats or all kinds of frozen confections. All made fast while you wait and very very tasty. The current DQ places still serve Steak Fingers, but they taste like about 40% beef and 60% soy and filler. These at the Burger Box taste like real actual beef, battered and fried and very tasty. Give this place a try, especially if you're in the mood for a Steak Finger Basket. But get the 6 piece meal, they are a bit on the smaller side so you'll want as many as you can eat!

As much as it pains me to drop this burger joint from 5 to 3 stars they leave me no choice. It's about the fries - of late they aren't completely done. I mean cold on the inside not done. Requesting extra crispy doesn't even help. So if you go don't order the fries! I'll give the tater tots a try on my next visit.

Chili dogs, large tots and a large Coke. $8.05 includes tax.

Stopped for lunch and got two chili dogs, tater tots and a large coke. All pretty good but I'll need to be more specific next time I get the same. The jumbo dogs are pre split and grilled on the flat top. If you don't like them charred, let them know when you order. They also toast the buns. I prefer mine untoasted. They put the mustard on top of the chili. I prefer it on the bun. If you like lots of onions, be sure to tell them. Burger Box reminds me of the Dairy Queens of my youth. This one and many others are in fact located in a former DQ. I'll be back to try other menu items.

Burger Box is great! If you want a good old fashioned hamburger joint experience, they can't be beat. There aren't many left like this.

Nonetheless, I truly do feel that Rodeo Goat does it differently. Came here after work with some friends. There's quite an assortment of creative options. I opted for the Hot Bastard. To make it even more interesting, I got it with the Impossible Patty (per recommendation). Now, upon first bite, there's not an immediate heat. However, it slowly creeps up. It creeps up to the point where you do find yourself looking for a glass of water or just anything to help settle the heat. That's what I loved the most about this burger. Maybe it was the fresno peppers. Maybe it was the habanero cheddar. Whatever it was, I loved it. Now, in terms of the patty, I thought it was great quality. I haven't tried their beef patties to use as a comparison but I still enjoyed the burger very much with the impossible patty. Only qualm about it was that the patty did give way about halfway through. Though, I find that's on par with a good messy burger. Overall, would come again, especially with the immense variety. The next time, I will definitely look to try the Radio Goat - every purchase supports KERA, the local NPR station!

It's a seat-yourself restaurant, and the service was friendly throughout our visit. There are lots of burger options to choose from, so there's something for just about everyone. One suggestion would be to add a dedicated toppings section to the menu. When building your own burger, it's difficult to know all of the available topping choices. The only downside to our visit was that there was a very large dog dining inside the restaurant. The staff allowed the dog's water bowl to be placed on the table, and while the dog remained on a leash, several employees stopped to pet it before returning to refill drinks, deliver food, or check on guests. That wasn't something I was comfortable with and took away from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

Apparently they are a former food truck that now runs the kitchen inside of Crystal Springs Hideaway. I ended up sitting at the bar with the Lindas (there were three of them). It was early in the day so I did not join them for a drink, I was just getting out to try something new and support the North Texas Food Bank. The special for burger week was the Zaddy which came with pickled red onion, lettuce, goat cheese, fresh jalapenos and raspberry jam on a potato bun. Their burgers are 1/4 and unfortunately the meat got completely lost under so much going on. Goat cheese and raspberry are powerful flavors and the jalapeno slices were thicker than the patty. I didn't even taste the pickled red onions. The very last bite was more meat than topping and I could actually taste the beef. It is a shame because it was really good. The quality of the meat and the sear on the burger were well done. Their regular priced burgers range from $10.50 to $14, and sides are extra. It is pretty steep for a 1/4 lb burger, and I would suggest something with a bit less flair.

My kids played Starwars pin ball, they played on a really cool play ground, jumped on their jumping station, and played on their pedal controlled race car track. It was hot, so we let the kids play for a bit, then moved to eat inside until the sun went down a little more then we went outside. They had fans and misters for the heat.
