We had spent the morning snorkeling and exploring the West side and were ravenous when heading back down the coast. I saw the reviews for the Burger Shack and knew this would be perfect. Parking was crowded but there are generally people leaving all the time and there are clear signs that point you to the Shack. We were seated at a lovely little table overlooking the beach. I saw several shakes being served and knew I had to have one! I went with the tropical flavors of the Hula Girl and it was the best accompaniment for beach side burgers. The burgers were massive and came out exactly as requested. Prices were a tad high, but considering the location and what you get definitely well worth it. Nice little outdoor burger shack on the Ritz Carlton grounds. Was the closest spot to Honolua Bay and I was starving from snorkelling there, so made a bee line here. Parking was easy and it's right off the main drag. Seat yourself and the nice server got us waters and menus right away. Burgers, chicken, bison, fish tacos, salad, fries, and huge shakes are their forte. Beautiful beach and bay scenery. It definitely is windy there, which was certainly welcomed to keep you cool. We lucked out with a shade spot. I got the $19 no frills cheeseburger with potato chips. Other option was sweet potato fries which I am usually not a fan of. I was really craving normal fries which they do not have. Burger cooked medium to order and was pretty good. You certainly are paying for location and ambiance. Also at my table were the fish tacos. Mahi was the catch of the day. 2 corn tortillas served with some nice fresh salsa and the marinated fish. Also pretty good. No drinks, only these 2 orders and we were out the door for $50 before tip. This restaurant literally charges an arm and a leg for food and drinks. Burgers and Fries are around $20 and Drinks cost almost the same as food and or more?!?! They're about $17-$30 for a drink. I've never been to a restaurant where drinks cost about the same as actual food. And not to mention they're mediocre drinks. To charge $18 for a drink, I should certainly be able to tell that you included a serving of vodka. However, after two of them I was almost sure I was just drinking juice. Burger Shack, located footsteps away from DT Fleming Beach, offers amazing burgers, shakes, and beach views. $25 for a burger?!?!?! This better be the best burger of my life! (It was!!!!) The Paniolo Buffalo Blue burger is a grilled bison burger with Cambozola blue cheese, applewood smoked bacon and house-made BBQ served on a toasted sweet Hawaiian bread bun. The burger came with our choice of Maui chips or sweet potato fries. I'm so glad that I glanced around the bar before placing our orders. After seeing several diners struggle to eat their massive burgers my husband and I decided to split our burger and fries. (The kitchen was kind enough to split our meal onto separate baskets.) This was more than enough food for two people. Between my half of the burger, share of sweet potato fries and splitting an adult milkshake I was stuffed! Oh, more about the Adult Milkshake! Burger Shack offers $10 shakes or $18 "adult" milkshakes. We selected the "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" handcrafted cocktail with Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey, vanilla ice cream and a dash of island-sourced honey. If you ever decide to do the Kapalua Coastal Trail and find yourself hangry towards the end of it, don't give up!! If you keep walking, there's an oasis waiting for you called the Burger Shack. What a lovely hidden burger/shake gem at the Ritz Carlton, open to the public. Right by the beach, the Burger Shack has a selection of sandwiches, milkshakes, cocktails, and a few seafood options (think fried calamari). My fiancé and I tried most of the items on the menu, and found that the quality was top notch. Still a $20 burger, but well worth it in my opinion. This is a great lunch place if you're staying at the Ritz Carlton. It has a great ocean front location which is extremely convenient and offers an excellent view.
