    Fleming Burger and Nutella/banana shake

We did not stay at the Ritz, but saw this restaurant on Tik Tok and we wanted to give it a try. It's a casual restaurant on the Ritz's property at the back of the resort. They serve American classics such as burgers, salads, and shakes (plus full-service bar of course). The menu is extremely pricy ($32 for the burger + fries, ~$12-15 for the shake) however it's at the Ritz, so that's expected. You get to see the beach from the restaurant, and potentially enjoy the private beach if you have all your beach gear with you.

We stopped here for lunch before we went swimming at Flemings beach. They prepared the food really fast. The wind was pretty aggressive when we were here so that was the only bummer, since all the seating is outside. The milkshakes are really good!

First time here for lunch, great burgers, and some of the best Milkshakes our burgers were Wagu the fries

Ate lunch at the burger shack on a Sunday afternoon. It was lovely sitting under the umbrellas next to the water on such a beautiful day. The waitress was very nice and kind, especially knowing that we were locals. My friend and I shared the double stack Wagyu burger, which was more than enough for us. The burger was so juicy and very tasty. Easily one of the best burgers I've had. We were so full that we were not able to order a shake, but from what I hear the shakes are legendary. We will have to order shakes next time! Great atmosphere will definitely come back again.

Came here for lunch. Open seating and we are lucky we got here when we did because once we sat down people started to come. Dennis, our server came quick once we sat down and took our order. He was great! We all liked our food. My mom and I got the Katsu Katsu sandwich and she said it was spicy for her but not for me because I love spicy! Our drinks were yummy! My mom's margarita was not shy on alcohol but get your moneys worth! Perfect place to eat and chill by the beach!

Great view of the water! Convienant spot to eat after hiking the Kapalua coastal trail. The food is all fresh and the ranch tastes homemade as well. Service was quick and we were able to sit down at a table right away.

4 1/2? Really pleasantly surprised. The milk shakes were excellent. I'm normally not a milkshake gal, but I had a few of the different milkshakes and was thoroughly impressed. I pounded it down like no one's business. The burgers were also very good. I think Burger Shack had the best burgers of the entire property. Amazing, gorgeous views, great food, and a solid burger. Can't go wrong.

You're definitely paying for the view, but oh, what a view it is! The hostess seated us and was very accommodating when we asked to move. Our server did a great job and took a moment to take a few photos for us. We both got burgers, which we enjoyed. Maybe not $30 per burger worth of enjoyment but again, you're paying for that sweet ocean view!

The milkshake was INSANE!!! We got the whiskey one with bacon and it was jaw dropping. This is what you need to get when you come here they are the star of the show!!!! The burgers were okay nothing really special but the milkshakes save it. Sooo good must try!! Not the mention the absolute beautiful view of the ocean. We came after the beach and it was a perfect ending to our day. Would highly recommend coming here for lunch.

Quick lunch by Dragon's Teeth. Burger was very good and juicy. Service was quick. The views were also nice since we were by Konokahua Bay.

Went with my family of six, around 2:30 PM. Since it is located right on the beach, the view is amazing! Workers are so nice and friendly, food came out extremely fast as well. Burgers were a nice size, however, the menu itself is pricey (averaging around $30-40 per dish)! I ordered the California Poke included in the July Special. It was good, not great. However, that is to be expected given it is a burger restaurant. THE SHAKES ARE AMAZING!! Not only aesthetically pleasing, but also tasty and quite filling! Again on the pricier side, though ($15 per).

Cheeseburger and fries $30. Mai tai in the background $25
    Ally H.

Only come here for the shakes, which are delicious. $30 for an average burger and $25 for a Mai tai. French fries are very good and service was great. Milkshakes are the only reasonably priced item at around $15. But they are definitely big enough to share. Go get yourself a shake and some fries and call it a day.

My cousins ordered cocktails and our server was so kind to let them know if they weren't happy with it, they could exchange it which they did. The first course of delicious appetizers was the Caesar salad with anchovies and the Kahuku Sweet Corn Agnolotti with Keahole lobster! That was so buttery delicious and small enough to make you want more! The homemade taro rolls with butter, oil and honey was a nice accompaniment. Our second course was just right portion wise and savory. My cousin even said he was full, which never happens since he loves to eat! We enjoyed the 48-hour Wagyu Prime Rib which was so tender and easily cut with a butter knife. Yummy dollops of potato purée and broccolini were beautifully placed around the meat. My other cousin enjoyed his Shrimp Scampi with fresh house made tagliatelle, capers, Kula tomato and basil. The dessert course was a great way to end our meal. I got the Pineapple Upside Down cake with a scoop of Ube Ice Cream, biscotti crumble and Kula Rum Caramel. My cousin's panna cotta was made with local Maui Kuia Chocolate and chantilly cream with a tuile that had light sprinkle of black pepper. Overall, a wonderful experience and only $79 for the 3 courses! We will definitely be back.

So of course we ate at Cane & Canoe nearly every night of our stay. We also ate here for breakfast one day. For the price, I think it's very overrated. But here's what I think are good. - the bar menu has more casual food (burgers taste good, fries are good) and for staters, they give you gourmet popcorn - the dining room has yummy bread starters with honey, whipped butter, and olive oil From the dining room, I really liked their jidori chicken!! more than their steak. Their pineapple upside down cake was yummy and warm too. Their normal price seems really steep though and the views aren't that good. As for service, all of our servers were friendly and made small talk with us, and delivered every plate with a smile. Overall solid 4/5, 3.5 if I had to pay full price.

All of the reservation times during sunset were taken, so we ate a little earlier but still managed to see the sunset as we were leaving. The views from this restaurant are absolutely breathtaking. We even got to experience a light rain shower followed by a beautiful rainbow while we were there. Our server was Tim, who was beyond kind, attentive, and engaging. He displayed some of the best hospitality I have ever experienced at a restaurant. He made wonderful recommendations and truly made us feel so special celebrating our soon-to-be baby. To start, we ordered the tako (octopus); it was served in the manner in which escargot is - tons of butter and garlic, and paired well with wonderful fresh-baked bread. For our entrées, both my husband and I did a duo where we could pick two smaller portions of the entrée dishes. I did a duo with the fresh lobster and lamb special, while my husband did a duo with the fish pasta special and the curry scallops. All four entrées were absolutely divine, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to sample a little bit of everything from the menu. To wrap things up, we had to try the infamous pineapple macadamia nut bread pudding with salted caramel, and they even gave us a complementary dessert for our babymoon, which was their take on a s'more. Both desserts were phenomenal, but I could have easily eaten two helpings of the pineapple macadamia nut bread pudding. If you find yourself in Maui and have the opportunity to make a reservation at Merriman's in Kapalua, I cannot recommend it enough as this was one of those meals that my husband and I will be talking about for a very long time.

For starters, the tako (octopus) escargot (instead of snails) was so good! Ceviche was also great. I had the highly recommended shrimp and pork chow fun for entree. It's slightly different from the Chinese style chow fun in the sauce. The shrimp were cut up in small pieces. The pork was actually spicy sausage, so it should've been more specific on the menu. The sausage made the dish greasier and saltier than it has to be. I didn't like it. My husband had the pork quesadilla that had great flavors but a bit soggy. Daughter had the ahi tuna. She's had a lot of tuna dishes on this trip, but didn't like this dish as much especially the wasabi soy sauce. Son had the crispy pork shank, and that was very good! Falling off the bone tender, nice tropical salsa to balance the rich flavors. The bread pudding with ice cream was a lovely finish. Service was excellent.

I understand that this is a tourist-centered area, but I cannot fathom paying $40+ for pasta... the serving size for most of our food was disappointing to say the least. The short rib wontons... first of all, I recommend Sansei changes the name of this dish because are a far cry from wontons. They did not taste good and there was barely any filling in them. The Alaskan roll tasted like only rice and cucumber. The cooked salmon was dry and came with a single jumbo shrimp... - our main waiter was rude, he did not seem to have much patience, giving us attitude and tone that did not feel appropriate.
