The…read moreinside was cute and very minimal: just a little bit of seating inside and the rest was counter space. The place was busy, the line was a bit of a mess but it got resolved. The menu itself was basic but in a good way. The prices were cheap for 2026. We ordered American Cheese Dog baskets, Chili & Cheese fries and drinks. The food came crazy fast and the food was good. Not super gourmet or anything, just mediocre. I wish we had gotten more macaroni salad and our lemonade was meh. All in all, if you're in the area and want a cheap eat I would go here but if you're doing a trek because you heard about it maybe go somewhere else.

Order at the counter and pick up the food to eat inside/outside or take to-go. Had a hot dog with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard. As others have noted, the dog had a snap to it. Not a lot of flavor, but I think Viennas just aren't my brand of choice. The fries were the standout on my first visit - fresh, crispy, and a good portion. My husband had a chili cheese dog and a slaw dog. He found preferred the chili cheese over the slaw, saying that the slaw overpowered the hot dog flavor. A cute waterfront park to visit behind the joint, too!

I was disappointed upon hearing the news that Ice Cream Station's predecessor, Chicago Dog & Co,…read morewould be shutting down for good last October. A good hot dog makes for a great lunch for me, something just filling enough to fuel the rest of your day but doesn't overwhelm your hunger for a nice dinner. I was delighted to see a new company take over this land space and use it for more Chicago style hot dogs as well as ice cream. A good portion of the menu is carried over from their predecessor, but these are standard Chicago dogs (Chicago Style, Maxwell Street Polish, etc.). For my first visit, I wanted to try one of Ice Cream Station's unique offerings, so I went with the Southern Slaw Dog which consisted of a Vienna Beef dog covered with coleslaw, BBQ sauce, and a pickle spear. The flavors of the slaw and BBQ sauce complimented each other well, and the pickle spear just added to the feel of something you'd get at someone's backyard BBQ. My only complaint was that the brioche bun was a little stiff. I think I'll stick to the steamed poppy seed buns for future visits. There is plenty of parking, but the outdoor only seating might hinder the business during the hot Florida summer months. Hopefully, they will partner with delivery apps to accommodate customers. Speaking of future visits, I definitely plan on returning to check out their takes on the Maxwell Street Polish and Chicago Fire Dogs as well as their namesake ice cream. The service was great at my visit. While I don't doubt other Yelpers who had issues with their service, I do wish to emphasize that this is their first week open, and the company has been very open about them still working out the kinks, so I think it's a bit unfair to give low rankings to a small business still finding their way. I'm rooting for Ice Cream Station, and I sincerely believe they have the potential to fill the shoes that Chicago Dog & Co. left behind. Give this place a shot, Orlando and Altamonte Springs foodies.

My kids went bananas over the dessert, the Italian sausage was good, kids loved the hot dogs and the crowd favorite was the chili cheese dog. Everyone was super nice! Before my Mom and I went, we checked the closing hours. According to our online search, the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. We weren't far away and confirmed via GPS that we would get there by 9:03pm. As we were arriving, I noticed a worker had started removing the outdoor sidewalk sign back inside the restaurant. I asked the worker if they were closing and was told yes. The owner or manager, I would assume he was, stated we could come in. We drove around the building to a dark parking lot. Once we parked, the owner/manager, who was taking out the trash, questioned where I parked. I had parked behind, probably, his car which was closest to where we had to walk around to the front to enter the restaurant. I told him I quickly parked so we can get in and order. Once we entered the restaurant, we tried ordering. The owner/manager was very inpatient once he realized we were ordering food and not ice cream as he said he thought we wanted. I ordered a Chilli Cheese Dog (no bun). Mom got a Regular Hotdog (with condiments) and Plain Tater Tots. As we waited for our food, at least five people came in for ice cream. Our food was prepared in a reasonable time. We left approximately 9:23pm. Mom was satisfied with her food. My Chilli Cheese Dog was short on the Chilli. There was not a lot of Chilli on the hotdog. I don't plan on returning to this establishment.

The woman attending the front seemed upset we were bothering her (my "thank you" when she took my order was ignored as it was when our food was delivered). I had figured it would be hard to screw up hotdogs and tater tots, but Doghouse exceeded. The hotdogs were just under room temp, and my wife said hers was actually cold. The tater tots were very obviously reheated and entirely unappetizing. Just a seriously crummy experience to pay $30-something for. Our experience of the Doghouse boils down to old, bland, unappetizing food and rude service. Shame, too, as I love a good Chicago hotdog.

We visited on a weekday and it was pretty busy. Ordered the Kappy's Sub with all the toppings of mushrooms, onions, peppers and banana peppers. I didn't expect that the meat would be more ground beef than the traditional shaved meat, but my fault for not reading the menu. We ordered that sub to split, a side waffle fries, that comes with a sauce and a large drink. For whatever reason the fountain soda seemed to be off on the syrup ratio... Kinda sad bc I was looking forward to a crispy Coke. IMO I thought the sub was super greasy and it was hard to even hold with grease dripping. We ended up spending around 18 bucks for 1 combo meal, which I thought that was kinda pricey. The fries were also super small but I liked the option for sauces. Overall I wasn't impressed and don't get the hype.
