This BurgerIM is a lot better than when it first opened, but it still has some areas for improvement. I really want to like this place because it's owned by a family in the community, and it definitely does have a lot of potential. I got 2 sliders of the Cowboy Burger and a side of Bacon Cheese fries. They were both fine, but nothing especially tasty that would make me want to come back :( Let's start with the burger; overall I think it was a bit dry, there was not much barbecue sauce on it at all and the patty was a bit over cooked and under seasoned in my opinion. The onion ring was nice and crispy and tasted fresh, and wasn't too much or too little. Honestly, I think just a few tweaks would make a world of difference with this burger, namely to the burger patty itself. As for the fries, they were also pretty okay with just the cheese holding them back, really. The fries themselves are tasty and we're fresh and crispy, the bacon was a good amount and wasn't too salty. The main issue I had was with the cheese, it was reaaally salty and there was a lot of it. I love a lot of cheese, but it was just way too salty for the amount that was added. Overall: Good structure and ingredients overall, just a few issues with seasoning that personally brought down my enjoyment a lot. I am glad to see that they've improved a lot since opening, so I will be coming back every so often to see how they do. I went here a few days ago for the first time with my brothers and ordered the trio and wings (with the Buffalo sauce). The three burgers I ordered with the trio were the angus beef (no bun/lettuce wrap), Spanish beef (keto bun), and Greek lamb (keto bun). I like the angus and Spanish beef burgers so far. The lamb is cool, it didn't taste bad, but I liked the other two better. The wings were pretty good too. I think they use the Un-bun keto brand for the bread. I always curious about the taste of it. It pretty close to bread and will satisfy your craving for it, but next time I'll just stick to the lettuce wrap lol. I will definitely go back and try the other things they have on the menu. Decided to stop by and try this spot after seeing their new menu. I ordered the pork lumpia, the fish lumpia, turon, and a mango milkshake. I was the last customer before closing. The staff clearly needs more training because they didn't know the menu. And the owner (older Filipino man) was yelling at one of the staff because he was going to give me one piece of Turon for my order when it was supposed to come w/ 3 pieces. The staff told him he would just "heat up" more Turon. So I was given the impression that they're not cooked fresh? My order took almost 20 minutes to finish. By the time I was handed my order, it was exactly 7 PM. I hurried home and to my surprise, the milkshake tasted like SOUR MILK. My husband and I almost threw up from sipping it. It was bubbling at the top. The fish lumpia was fine. However, the pork lumpia was also SOUR. And the turon was a disappointment. By the time I tried to call to let them know my food tasted spoiled, they were obviously closed. Super disappointed and frustrated that I wasted my money and time waiting for spoiled food. Loved how easy it was to eat and can get a variety of options. Yes the menu was confusing and took a minute to digest but the food was good. Workers are doing they're best since they're fairly new, but in time I'm sure they're do better with speed. If youre in a hurry I wouldn't reccomend coming here during rush hour. I come occasionally for lunch, the burgers are decent and the staff are always very nice. Unfortunately, the last time I visited -- 6/17/22 -- resulted in giving me food poisoning. Within a few hours of having a cheeseburger, I started to have stomach cramps, which turned into vomiting and diarrhea all night long. Also, violent shivering, chills, and profuse sweating (but no fever), and 3 days out, I am still not fully back to normal. This is not some flu bug and I tested negative for COVID. In trying to understand how a well done burger could do this, I remembered 2 specific things: 1) It was hot inside -- they mentioned the AC had been broken for days, and 2) the burger was slathered in mayonnaise. I ordered the duo, a merguez beef burger with an addition of an egg (loved that it came out over easy), and an Angus beef burger with avocado and sautéed onions. Angus beef was very good and merguez beef was delicious and absolutely my favorite. But my favorite overall was the Garlic Aioli fries! They were amazing and my new favorite style of fries. Beware ordering from here if you have dietary restrictions because they don't know what they're serving. I don't know why for the slider duos I had to customize them from the main burgers. Shouldn't you just be able to customize the way it is on the menu? Also the quality of the burgers was not very good.
