    Ordering (and pick-up) window

Review is for the food truck, when I saw them at the Presido Tunnel Tops. The truck is a nice shade of blue, can't miss it. There's one window for both ordering and pickups, so it can be a little crowded when folks are ordering or waiting on their order and everyone is around the same window. There's a small amount of condiments on the side. I usually go for one of the rolls, which are a few notches above Safeway for sure. But this time, I got the miso pork ramen, which is pretty okay, but not something I would go to the truck/location specifically to grab. Could have been hotter, but hey, it's solid ramen from a food truck and if you're choosing between multiple food trucks and happen to be grabbing lunch with it as an option, I don't think you can go wrong with Buri Buri. Ramen was packed well. I took a few first bites nearby the truck, but I had no trouble relocating with my friends and walking a fair amount with it without spilling.

A pleasant Japanese food truck with a limited menu highlighting rice-centric dishes. Nothing novel or ground breaking here, but still comforting. It was nice to see how fresh veggies were highlighted in each dish, but not dominating the dish. Shrimp Tempura Roll: While I'm always a little hesitant to order sushi from a truck, there was no raw fish in this roll so I felt fine about it. Turned out to be delicious! Seemed made-to-order, since the tempura coating on the shrimp was still crispy. Paired nicely with the crunchy cucumber and sticky rice. Also, loved the slightly sweet and slightly salty sauce on top. Curry Tonkatsu: More fried goodness, this time in chicken cutlet form. Crispy all around and tastes great dipping into that curry sauce. Lots of spices in the curry, though kinda mild on the chili heat. The tender onions, carrots and zucchini added a perfect freshness to the curry. Meanwhile, the steamed broccoli outside of the curry was very meh. Tons of rice, more than there was enough curry for, so ended up not finishing all the carbs.

Teri-Chicken Bento w/CA Roll and Green Tea $20 This meal was standard for the bill of fare - which is delicious. Chicken was a bit salty and the sauce was sweet. Those complimented nicely. There was .75 lbs of meat. With everything else on the plate - I got 2 meals out of it. Lots of sticky white rice. It was freshly cooked. Broccoli, steamed and a bit al dente. CA roll - standard. All dishes were made upon order. Service was quick and responsive. Value - plate weighed close to 2 lbs. Food - 3.5 Service - 3.5 Value - 4. Would def do it again.

Everything was fresh and delicious. We had the Omakase Sashimi as our main and it did not disappoint. The fish were fresh and tasty. The roe was not fishy and loved the crispy shrimp head. The surprise of the day was the Mentaiko Udon; noodles were al dente and sauce was creamy and savory. Also loved the Nasu with its garlicky topping. We will be back!

The menu was huge, it must've had over 100 things on it, hand rolls, nigiri, sukiyaki, cold and hot tapas/sides, udon, and more. Narrowing down what to get wasn't easy. Since it was the nigiri and robata skewers that sold me, that's what I went with. Prices on the menu didn't seem all that high, but it definitely adds up as you start to get a few things. Between the 3 types of nigiri and 2 skewers I got and the Sukiyaki and hand roll my friend got, we were close to $100 after tax and tip, which felt high for the fact that I was still fairly hungry when we left. The interior felt trendy, sleek, and upscale, but not stuffy at all. It's not a huge space, but there's a decent amount of seating. Service was attentive and parking was easy later in the evening on a weekday.

Today I was able to meet my friend here for lunch and since it was a weekday we got a table right away at noon. To our pleasant surprise there was a lunch special offered at the back of the menu. For $17 you can a item from column A then B. I went with teriyaki beef (+1) and gyoza. The lunch special came with rice, tea and miso soup. I order the yuzu drink too. Everything was so yummy! The decor is cute with many lucky cats near the entrance and around the sushi bar. Near the back there is a huge display kawaii, anime and robotech figures. I can see kids enjoying looking at them. Looks like they have a private room option that is narrow and long with many 2 seater table side by side, maybe they open it up when they get busy. They have a parking lot that can exit through the back is what my friend told me but I found street which has a 2 hour limit. I saw a car with a parking ticket so I'm guessing they do enforce it. I had got there early so I checked out the super cute Bird Garden store next door if you have time to kill

The bento box comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. Everything was good. The sushi was fresh and tender, and they gave me cooked shrimp, salmon, and 3 that I couldn't identify. The salad was good, too, with a creamy dressing that maybe had some sesame paste in it. The amount of dressing was about right, maybe just a touch more than ideal for me, but they were pretty light-handed with it overall. The miso soup and avocado maki were good. The avocado maki had more avocado in proportion to rice than other places, so that was nice. 3. Mochi ice cream, strawberry. This was pretty good. About average, I guess. 4. Yuzu cheesecake. Nice citrus flavor. I know Japanese cheesecakes are airier/lighter than American cheesecakes, but I thought they are usually a bit more creamy than this one. This one was more like a regular cake. It was good, though. Overall a good, casual place I'd be glad to return to for Japanese food. Service was good, although there were only two servers while we were there, and so sometimes it could be a bit slow. There were two TV screen showing sports. There is a small parking lot, or you can park on a nearby street.

It's a small restaurant, nothing fancy; seat maybe 50 people max. For a mid week lunch, it does pretty good business. We ordered the following to be shared by 4 of us: Appetizer: kamachi kama (4.5) ,excellent, one of the best. Ebi Tempura (3) fresh and crispy but the shrimps were pretty skinny. Rolls: Spider roll, cherry blossom, victoria secret (no bake), all rolls were fresh and tasty however smaller compare to other places (3.5) 16 pieces sashimi combo served with a bowl of miso soup and rice. We liked the salmon, tuna, hamachi but not the white tuna. Most of the slices were decent but not particularly generous. The Miso soup was quite tasty though. (3.5) There were two sushi chefs behind the counter and one young lady waitress/cashier. They appeared to be short staffed, so service was on the slower side. Perhaps due to the high percentage of Resy customers, prices tend to be on the higher side for the amount of food received, other than that we thought the quality of food was pretty good, service although slower but in general friendly and attentive.
