We had an amazing time here. The food was great and the service was far superior to anywhere else around. The owners really made us feel like we were at home here and we would steongly recommend paying a visit. Don't be a scallywag, just put on your eyepatch and sail on over to Buried Treadure, you won't be disappointed. Yarrrrr

The eggs were perfectly cooked and the peameal bacon was delicious!

Great breakfast. Loved the pea meal bacon. As an American I must say everything is little better in Canada and Buried Treasure proves that!

Burger was well done but the taste was great. One sister ordered the soup/salad combo, the soup of the day was a tomato bisque, she said it was delious. Chicken was dry but the rest of the bowl was good and flavorful. We also ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl: marinated ahi tuna, coconut rice, mango, sesame edamame, cucumber, avocado, pickled carrots, sliced radish, sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha aioli. I got it decompressed as I have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the ingredients didn't seem fresh. Mango mushy, green onions brown, cucumbers dried up, carrots brown. We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. We were really hungry and disappointed with their food as we picked this place out of many since their Google reviews seemed high. They offered to remake our meals but we had to go.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

We were greeted by the host who led us to our table in the corner of the dining room. We had a perfect view of the dining room, bar, and kitchen who all looked like they were a great team back there. I love a small menu - you know everything is delicious! Our drinks consisted of: Winter Old Fashioned, Tom & Jerry, Dirty Martini's, espresso martini & the Flip. All were so so good. I was told the Flip was a custom creation by the bartender - was by far my favorite drink (and possibly favorite part of dessert)! Then onto the food... to start: house rolls were a must (we got the chicken liver mousse too but I liked the shallot butter more), and the bluefin tuna crudo and cured ora king salmon were all fantastic, exploding with flavor! For our entrees we did the pork rib chop and the elysian fields lamb saddle. Both delicious! The lamb was so good, however I think the chicory salad was a little too bitter for me. And for dessert we went with the Honey & chocolate, and the Financier (I think that's what they were called). It's like the courses just kept getting better and better.

However, the drinks were totally different in a great way! Not your average drinks. Very creative. Loved, loved the cucumber dish and the spicey perfect crudo. We didnt order the salmon but recieved it anyway and we were so glad bc it was one of favorites. It was silky salmon on an umami bomb of a sauce. I would say the least successful dish was the white fish (was is halibut or sea bass?!). It was in a curry sauce that was a bit muddled. It was still good but after the bright, fun, summery, perfect crudo, cucumbers and salmon, the curry was just too bland. Loved the service and the atmosphere.

Almost all of the tables have a falls view. The food was awesome. We ordered the fixed 3 course meal and so glad we did. We started with brussel sprouts and super salad. We were in heaven. 2nd course was the pasta, short ribs and upgraded to pork chops. We were all happy with our choices. The only critic would be my broccolini. It looked overcooked. Desserts were to die for. Went for the cheesecake and the strawberry rhubarb. Can't go wrong with any of the dessert choices. I highly recommend this place. Food is also very good as well (even though it is a little pricey)! I would keep in mind that their menu seems to change but we got: Superfood Salad - fresh veggies with a sweet sauce and extra fruit and nuts! very good Braised Ontario AAA Beef Short Rib - tender short rib with a deliciously tangy chimichurri sauce and smooth mashed potatoes and broccolini Green Goddess Orecchiette Pasta - a light but creamy pasta that is very subtley but layered in flavoring! 16oz Cowboy Ribeye Steak (medium) - nicely cooked and seasoned steak, nothing to complain about! Berry Palmer - non-alcoholic, it was a lemonade combined with some berries and super refreshing during the heat Maple Pecan Cheesecake - a smooth and delightful cheesecake with a layer of maple pecan on top, would def recommend trying if you don't have nut allergies

It's a big place with tables on either side of the bar. A pool table is there too, but the decor is pretty plain. The server greeting was pleasant and told us we could sit anywhere, she immediately provided menus. We ordered a draft beer, all custom beer selections, and the haddock fish and chips. The beer came quickly, but the fish and chips was about a 25 minute wait. When it came, it was hot, with a decent sized piece of haddock. Crunchy on the outside breading but the inside breading was a bit too gooey for me. Lots of potato skin fries were provided with some good tartar sauce. The coleslaw was made with red cabbage, which seemed odd, and some cabbage pieces were too soft and discolored.

I asked the waitress if the cheese could be melted & was told there was really no way to do it. It could be put under a heat lamp but that would take some time. We have asked for our eggs this way at other establishments and never received them like this. The bacon was floppy & needed to be cooked more. My daughter loves pancakes, but she wouldn't eat the ones here. I tasted them, and they were very dense, and tasted like they were from a not-so-great boxed mix.
