I, Jan, as the owner named here would like to address Elizabeth's ( Kristin Elizabeth Paxton who lives in Naperville) comment . Kristin had rare toilet, that needed parts. It took several phone calls to find those parts, and those parts were ordered, delivered and taken with to minimize the cost of the job. After the licensed and bonded plumber finished the work and explained all charges to her, she willingly wrote a check, gave it to him, and he left. It would've been our desire that if she was unhappy with the bill, that she would've called the office while he was still there, prior to writing the check so that we could have worked out an amicable solution. After he left, she proceeded to call the office and complain, yell and hang up in the middle of a phone call. I called back to leave a voice mail stating that we would give a partial refund, but instead of returning my call so that we could satisfy her concern she turned to social media and gave us a negative review. We are a very small mom and pop company, that has been in business nearly 40 years, and realize that we will never be able to make everyone happy all of the time, but find it incredibly sad that instead of calling us back for an amicable resolution, she chose social media, dropping us from 5 starts after years of solid customer satisfaction. read more

After my daughter decided to get extensions in her hair I found it necessary to call a plumber! While showering, apparently some came out and she allowed them to go down the drain! Well, you guessed it...major clog. I contacted Burlingame Plumbing, spoke with Jan and explained the situation. That afternoon, Mark came out and rectified the situation. They put a rush on it since I only had one shower. After clearing the clog, I mentioned to Mark a few other items in need of attention. None were urgent so I called Jan and set up an appointment for the following week. On that visit, Mark replaced my dishwasher, garage disposal, laundry scrub sink and faucet and water valves to it, outdoor water spigot and fixed a leaky toilet. I was expecting a whopper bill but was pleasingly surprised! The quality, pricing and professionalism I received from Burlingame Plumbing was outstanding. I have been using Burlingame for thirty years. I have watched my friends and neighbors get horribly overcharged by competitors for the same work Burlingame has done for us. Burlingame has never tried to upsell us on things that we do not need. I was convinced my water heater went out (it's very old) I was ready to pay for a new one. Mark came out right away, lit the pilot light and told me it was fine. I am sure a lot of others would have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge and the situation. Additionally we did a kitchen remodel in our hundred year old home. Burlingame was the only one willing to take on the job and at a very fair price. Excellent company, very ethical. We had a huge issue with the drain from our sewer to the street. Our tile broke and was tilted towards our house instead of away from the house. This required new drain tile and the whole line needed to be moved due to a tree. Thanks to Burlingame Plumbing, Mark saved our tree and our home from a sewage nightmare.
