Yummy bibimbap, great service. I ordered this for my team at work and picked it up on time, just as ordered.

So.. with one of my recent obsessions being Korean dramas. And visiting my partners family down in Texas, being a very Korean state. I had to get my fill of dolsot bimbibap. With that we ended up going to burning rice. It reminds me of a panera feel where you walk up. Order. They give you a number and with your meal order. BUT (best part.)you get unlimited miso and salad. Boom! I know it isnt too hard to make miso but that's pretty freaking awesome. Am I right? I had a traditional dolsot bimbibap. (You pick what you want in your bowl.) Overall I really liked thos place and will come back. It's super affordable. The food is good. And the unlimited soup and salad is pretty bombtastic. Bottom line: I will come back again, and hopefully this will be a regular spot for me. read more

I use to really like this place but they keep getting worse and worse. You know have to check your self out. This has been awhile now but today that have done away with the cause bottles and renamed them in pump dispensers. They served my meal to me in to go bowl. This is not a cheap place to eat. This was where I was first introduced to the deliciousness that is bibimbap!! It is super close by to work so I try to stop by often (I am horrible at check-ins though, clearly) hey sometimes you just don't want people all up in your business like that you feel me. I like to eat in peace! Anyway, I'm in sheer Korean cuisine heaven here. Spicy chicken bowl, with the egg, mushroom, spinach, zucchini, rice is my jam. The soup and salad bar come free with your meal so you can fill up on seaweed/miso soup and stuff yourself with salad to your soul's delight. Everything is always fresh and you can tell that the people who work here take pride in what they do. Also, a tip - the kids bowl is plenty of food if you want just a light lunch meal! I love bibimbap! So glad there's one closer to me than having to go to Carrollton. This place is so good. You pick what kind of bibimbap you want. I would recommend getting the hot stone bowl, it's worth it! You pick what ingredients you want then pay, and they bring it to you. They have an open salad and soup bar. The seaweed soup is yummy! The miso soup was a little salty from it being out too long. The salad bar i really loves. You must try the sesame dressing! It's my favorite! Also i would recommend letting the bowl sit before mixing if you like the rice crispy. It adds a good crunch :) read more

I saw this restaurant being built and got really excited. I won't say it was bad, because it wasn't and I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I was just left with a super sweet taste in my mouth. I know the bulgogi marinade is sweet but even after spicing up with Sriracha and mixing in my kimchi, everything just fell flat for me. Just not memorable. Despite having had a very disappointing experience, I'm going to be generous and grant a 3* review, since I think I may have just ordered poorly. A couple of tips, so that you may be the beneficiary of my error(s): - While the pork is advertised as tenderloin, and while it may well be, it is very, very greasy. Either it's not tenderloin, or there's something about the sauce or cooking preparation that makes it so. Next time I'm trying the chicken. - Spend the extra dollar and get the hot stone bowl. The regular bowl's contents are just a few degrees above room temperature, which didn't work for me at all. Other than that, this place has a great concept, a very nice interior, and friendly service. I'm definitely going to return soon to remedy my mistake. read more

Service was spectacular. Lady was super friendly and gave me a sample to try the crispy bbq chicken, super crispy!! It was like biting into a potato chip crispy. Omg! The seaweed soup is a great free appetizer ! I got the bulgogi in the stone bowl with all the veggies and eggs. You can hear the rice sizzle when they bring you the bowl. The best part of this dish is the crunchy burnt rice from the side of the bowl . This bowl was so delicious, I got the non spicy(stupid ulcer) but the flavors were incredible! They only gave it one star but said they enjoyed the place. Weird. I enjoyed the food. Flavorful and tasty. I recommend the hot stone bowl - cost more but keeps your food piping hot which, as a mom, I appreciate. The staff were extremely helpful and patient with me. I've never eaten here before and with all the different options and potential combinations, I had a lot of questions. The waitress didn't mind assisting me and helping me make the perfect choice. The space is clean (restroom included) and the ambiance completely compliments the menu. I will return! read more

Stopped by here for dinner and ordered a bar b que shrimp bowl with kimchi rice and a veggie rice bowl with L A ribs. It was amazing! Only thing I would say is I ordered it in the stone bowl, which makes your food extremely hot, so wait to eat lol However the perk of that stone bowl is it over cooks the rice to the point of giving you a crunchy rice at the bottom. My husband and I loved that! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone. Price is reasonable and food is delicious read more

Burning rice please go back to your old menu style/choices and interface for placing an order in store at the grapevine location, the new one is not working and my family and I don't personally like it. while in store today my self and several other customers had to call the staff members to help us as we couldn't figure out and were surprised at the complicated and unenjoyable new system. This went from great little place to fast-food mediocre with recent menu changes. First, they now only offer scrambled egg -- bibimbop should allow you to mix a sunny side up yolk. Second, now they serve bland beef that is basically seasoned with sauces that they apply - you can't modify it, and they determine the quantity. No more sauces that you can choose yourself. Frankly, this dinner was disappointing. Clearly taking cues from fast food restaurants. That egg could be hours old. Very disappointing. read more

This is the second Burning Rice I have visited and it is quite larger than the first that I went to. The food was the same-GOOD! I think of this place as the Korean version of Chipotle. You choose your size, rice, protein, and top with your choice of toppings. Kids size is plenty for me but if you are really hungry, get the regular or hot stone bowl. The hot stone bowl is really cool! It's hot... so don't touch the bowl itself LOL. But the rice that touches the bowl is crunchy and so good!! I personally like the spicy bulgogi and spicy pork. The pineapple Galbi was too sweet and not flavorful. Perk: you get unlimited serve yourself soup and salad! And of course get the sauces to compliment your bibimbap bowl! This place is so good! Especially if you want something flavorful on the healthier side. I got the stone bowl, Kim chi rice, la galbi short ribs, with all the fixings they offer. They bring the food out fast but the stone bowl is sizzling hot. The stone bowl is the only way to go. The downside of it, is that you have to wait because it will def burn you. I let it sit for about 10-15 minutes so the bottom of the rice can get crispy and that's the best part! read more

It isn't really a dinner place unless you want to eat light but a great lunch place for sure . They offer salad and soup for you complimentary. I recommend the clay pot so that the rice roasts against the pot! Every time we have eaten here, the food is consistently delicious!

I love Burning Rice it's become somewhat of an obsession. I like that you can build your bowl and there are healthy options. The options yes let's talk about it. THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS!! It's the first time we tried burning rice NRH, I heard good things from several people. We ordered hot stone bowl with all the sides as the girl who take our order suggested, and the fry dumpling. The place was clean and bright. Our order came to us piping hot. The dumplings are excellent with the crispy skin and hot juicy pork filling, the dipping sauce came with it was a little salty for me, so dipped it with sesame sauce from the sauces-counter. I've been meaning to try Burning Rice since forever but I never had the chance to until now. Needless to say I was not disappointed! I ordered it to go but I will go back and try it in a hot stone bowl. I believe they have a salad/soup bar as well if you eat in. Gah, why must my stomach like this place so much!!! I'm so glad they ce to this area! This place is clean, nice interior look, friendly staff, and really good food. You can get a regular bowl or a hot bowl, the hot bowl is in a stone bowl but it is dropped in a wood container so you don't need to worry about being burned. The hot bowl coats $1.00 more than the regular. I don't like my bowls hot so I get the regular bowl, I also add brown rice, bulgogi, with everything on it. They recently added a frequent buyers card and i am so thankful for this since each time we go it's buying two bowls. ($$) What's an added bonus of this place is when you order a bowl you get free salad and soup. The soup options are seaweed (my husband's favorite) or Miso (my sons and myself favorite). My family typically goes to Irving and Arlington when we want Asian food because most of the places around here drop a lot of the flavors making it more pleasing to this areas population, for people who like real authentic food it's typically a let down in the area.
