Hands down the best brisket around. I always ask for extra juicy. This is right behind where my grandmother lives and we love it.

It's been yeeeearrrrs since I've eaten Burns Original Bbq and I was highly disappointed that they were out of slice beef, baked potatoes AND their homemade links.....since the day before. Let me tell it, because they were out the same food items the day before they needed to get rid of their ribs which were tuff. I have to admit Burns has stiff competition when it comes to bbq in the Houston area, IF you're in their area absolutely get you yourself some but be mindful picking up and going is your best bet. Although they've remodel, NO DANG way will I EEEVER eat and dine since outdoor dining is the only option there. Too hot in Texas for that, to be completely honest Papa's commercial bbq, sides and sauce is better and one can dine in some nice a.c. Uncle Peewe can smoke better ribs, Aunt Pat can make better potato salad, sister Sheila makes ole school dirty rice better from scratch and B & W Meat Market never runs out of homemade links.

Ok so I heard that Burns was the truth but now I know this for a fact! First off the location leads to the authenticity. With years of history and a staff that is amazing your experience starts there. Next the food....the food is amazing. I had the three meat dinner with ribs, brisket, and sausage. Out of the three the ribs were #3 on the list but they are prob top 5 ribs I've ever had. So that tell you the level of amazing the food is. The brisket had a great smoke ring and an explosion of flavor from the bark. The house made sausage should be sold worldwide. The dirty rice is also amazing. I highly highly recommend going to Burns BBQ.

I'm from out of town, but this place made me feel right at home with their amazing southern hospitality. I ordered the rib sandwich along with potato salad, baked beans, and green beans,,,,,, everything was full of flavor and hit the spot. The food was fantastic, and the service made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in town. Highly recommend!

I had the ribs and brisket as the meat and I had the dirty rice and mac & cheese as my sides. The best part of my dish was the brisket and the sides. I'll be back to try more things on the menu. Oh my gosh, it is started over again. I just can't finish that movie.

Came here as a recommendation from a coworker and boy do I tell you. Burns brings a whole different level of BBQ that I have ever experienced. I got the loaded meat baked potato... OMG!! Definitely 2 meals and was well worth the price. Service was good and yes the place was PACKED. So let it be written... So let it be BBQ!!!

2 Meat Baked Potato with total price.

I ordered the baked potato with 2 meats. The potato was a nice size. The 2 meats were chopped beef and sausage. The sausage was salty and the chopped beef was ok.

Okay, my nephew and niece wanted to take me out to eat in Houston where he's from. He raves about how Houston has the best bbq! I told him prove it because I've never heard of Burns all the times I've been to Htwn! Plus I'm from the Lockhart, Tx the BBQ capital of Texas! We meet up around 4:30pm and they were out of chicken, sausage and only had ribs and brisket. So I go with the brisket and ribs with baked beans and green beans. The only place to sit was outside under the covered patio with fans blowing. The fans usually keep flies away because smoke brings flies for some scientific reason and the only complaint I have is once we got our food the fans didn't stop the flies. The food was good and if I desired bbq while in Houston I'd get it to go. But still it ain't Lockhart!

One of Houston's Best BBQ joints! Forget the fancy fixin's, purple onions, and plush settings. BBQ is about a taste and feel. If it tastes good it makes you feel good! Period! I had not had this BBQ in over a decade, but recently started working within 15 minutes of the restaurant. The homemade sausage links and brisket are very tasty, own there own. When you add the BBQ sauce, the party really gets started! It comes together, perfectly! In the last three months, I've had their food at least five times, whether via delivery or a visit to the restaurant. The counter where you order is a small, dark, confusing space and the wait time can be a bit of a challenge, but I understand that they are very busy with online, phone, and regular orders. The food is worth the wait! Also, if you don't like eating outdoors, stay away or get it to go. The tables are outdoors, on a covered patio. The staff is not very talkative, but they are cordial and say "Thank you!," when they give you your receipt and your order. I'll be back, again and again!

What we ordered: - Beef Ribs - Glazed Pork Ribs - Sausage Link: regular and cheddar - Brisket (sliced) - Bacon Mac & Cheese - Potato Salad - Duck and Sausage Jambalaya - Peach Cobaker - Banana Pudding over all Review of the whole place, 10/10. Line was organized and had available water for the heat. Servers out to offer beer and water and to pass out menus and explain the process of how this place works. Servers inside were constantly cleaning tables and available to get to go boxes and lids if needed. The meat was literally fall off the bone tender and juicy. Everything was Smokey and flavored wonderfully. My number one: the Mac and cheese! I dont know something about an amazing side took me away. Most places can't do a mac the way i like it, but the cheese stayed moist and creamy and the noodles were tender. the flavor was phenomenal. all of the meats were tender and fall off the bone and juicy. I have no complaints About any bite I took! Other than maybe taking too many bites XD. Would absolutely recommend if your visiting the area or live near by, go get some excellent barbecue.

The potato salad was a huge surprise, I'm usually not a potato salad person, but this one was a solid 10/10. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was this French-style side (it looked like a giant turd ). It was a 0/10 for me. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. The peach cobbler was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really wow me compared to everything else. Overall, the food was incredible, especially the brisket. I'll definitely be coming back. 10/10, highly recommend!

The tator tot casserole is like a hug from the sweetest granny in the land, and the corn pudding and Mac and cheese are pure fire too. Perfectly juicy, tender, and packed with smoky flavor. But what really puts this place over the top is the tater tot casserole. Great sides can make the meal, and this one absolutely does. It's ridiculously good... like I'd happily eat an entire bowl of just the casserole. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs, beef rib, both sausages, and, of course, a whole lot of tater tot casserole. While you're waiting in line, they hand out samples of the brisket so you can decide whether you want lean or fatty. Fatty all day for me. The beef rib was massive and had an incredible smoky flavor, but low-key, I think the sausages ended up being my favorite meat of the day. They were juicy, flavorful, and didn't get overshadowed by everything else. We got there around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday and waited about an hour in line. It sounds long, but they make it easy with water and drinks available for purchase while you wait. The number secures your spot in line but don't worry if you show up and they run out, there's a spot on the porch where the non-number line starts. The inside of the restaurant is not large but also not small, its first come first serve so get in where you fit in or opt to sit outside. I arrived to the front of the line around 12pm so it took about an hour of waiting in line. Ordering was smooth and it took no time for the food to be ready. Staff were friendly, and service was speedy. I ordered brisket(moist), pulled pork sandwich, mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, apple cobbler, and a baked potato. The potato salad was a pleasant surprise! It is not your traditional potato salad, but If you enjoy anything dill flavored, you'd love it! The brisket was moist and flavorful, melt in your mouth good!!! The other sides were just okay, not bad but nothing stood out. The cobbler was a bit too sweet and it did not seem as though the ingredients were mixed very well. It was like they dumped sugar on top and baked it without mixing it. Pulled pork sandwich was meaty and flavorful. Pretty good BBQ Experience!!!

After doing my research and seeing food bloggers post online about this place, I decided to try it! We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm - packed! There were no tables available inside and there were people inside and outside waiting for their orders. That's something to be ready for if you come on a Saturday. Our order didn't actually take that long. Or maybe it took a little while and we didn't mind waiting. Either way, it wasn't that bad! Luckily it's located in a shopping area so there's always parking. My main gripe is that they close at 7pm. I'm sure there's a good reason for that but I've wanted to try it multiple times before but they've been closed! I ended up going with the infamous brisket and fried rice. The brisket was super tender - I was able to pull it apart with my fork. I typically shy away from brisket because usually it's tough. But this was delicious - tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Not overwhelming or too salty. The rice had a great flavor too. There were chunks of meat in that as well and the rice had a nice smoky flavor. Not too salty or greasy. It also came with some accoutrements - pickled onions, fresh pickled cucumbers, jalapeños, bbq sauce and bread. The cucumbers and onions stole the show - very fresh and refreshing. We were surprised at the pickled onions - they were soo good! Overall - worth the hype! I'll definitely be back to try ribs, chicken or pulled pork sandwich. I heard everything is good here!!

They do have a spacious outdoor patio; but being almost 100 degrees outside it was not worth my sweat dripping down to the brisket making it saltier. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. I think they may have spilled the seasoning into the batch they main because holy moly, a TON of pepper and salt. I'm heavy handed with my seasonings but that amount didn't seem intentional. I'd never thought I'd say this but the flavor would've been great with less seasoning. 5/10 Mac&cheese: Nothing special but definitely better than most bbq spots. I enjoy the texture and light flavor 7/10 Elote: Yummy but where's the beloved cilantro?! 8/10 Cornbread: Great flavor, not dry, and had jalapeno peppers in it! Super yummy 9/10. My only thing too, they had only 2 bbq sauce options, a bourbon coffee and their house bbq. To me, they were not good at all. I was extremely disappointed in that. Other bbq spots have like 8 different bbq sauces
