I went to Burnt Crumbs for the first time and order a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. They weren't kidding when they say "hot." It was a little painful to eat, maybe my tolerance is quite low, but I couldn't stop!! The chicken piece was huge. Texture and flavor were well-balanced. I imagine it would be so much better if I could eat at the store, but it was really good though we had to bring it home. Will come back to try other items on the menu. read more

BF ordered take out for this place; dishes are are pretty heavy, great post hang over grub. Food is modern/fusion breakfast/lunch items including salad, sandwiches, and egg dishes. My Bf got the carne asada salad ($10.25) and breakfast burrito with pastrami ($13). The breakfast burrito was huge~ enough for 3 people to share! It was stuffed with pastrami, onions, potatoes, scrambled eggs. The seasoning was a little bland, wish it had some herbs/green to cut the richness. Carne asada salad was refreshing and light with cilantro dressing, meat heavy with huge portions of carne asada~ Would love to come back here to try other dishes. read more

Super busy but very quick and efficient. Had 2 eggs with pastrami hash, carne asada omlette and souffle pancakes. All were so good, have to come back to try egg fried rice and a breakfast sandwich. There are too many good choices! read more

very nice spot for breakfast/brunch. we came around 10 a.m. and so it was not crowded at all and there were plenty of available seats and tables outside. the potatoes were fantastic! pancakes were pretty good as well, though they do take a bit longer to make compared to other dishes. read more

I haven't been here in a while and I usually get their pork sandwich. I decided to try their turkey club which is usually a favorite item for me on any lunch menu. The sandwich itself looked good but it lacked some flavor but it did its job and filled me up. The service was friendly and efficient as always. 3.0 for this food item and 4.5 for service. read more

This place has quick service and delicious food that will make you stuffed! I ordered the breakfast sandwich and my boyfriend got the carne asada quesadillas and we could not finish it. We had to take them to-go because they gave us so much food (never a bad thing). I definitely think it's well worth your money. This place allows you to order and then they give you a number and you can choose to sit down anywhere outside. There's limited seating inside but if it's a nice day, I recommend sitting outdoors. I definitely would come back here for brunch/lunch again! read more

Came here today because I heard their Nashville hot chicken sandwich was good. I obviously ordered the hot chicken sandwich and my friends ordered the regular friend chicken sandwich and the spaghetti grilled cheese. The hot chicken was really good, although not spicy enough for me. I wished it had more of a kick. I actually liked the regular friend chicken sandwich better since I wasn't expecting it to be spicy. Not a big fan of the spaghetti grilled cheese, but I'm not really a fan of spaghetti in general, so I'm very bias. The hand cut fries were really good. It was salty which I LOVE. Definitely will be back for more. :) read more

The queue to order is a bit clunky when busy but other than that, I love this place. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. The food was quite delicious, though the vanilla creme in one of their pancake options was a bit too sweet for me. A parent's side note: They actually have a good amount of high chairs but they were REALLY sticky and the 2 we got had the seat belts cut off. read more

In my younger years, I would never sign up for rewards programs because I never knew if I would return to an establishment. As I've gotten older, I decided to jump on the FiveStars bandwagon and start earning some perks - if you've got FiveStars at your restaurant, I'm entering my phone number. Burnt Crumbs is one of those places, which is good because I keep coming back for more goods at their spot. I'm glad that they were able to reopen despite COVID and they've worked out a great system to keep people feeling distanced and safe when dining (or taking out). I've been to the restaurant for their savory sandwiches but this review is for their takeout menu of brunch. I recently celebrated my birthday in October (Scorpio season) and the FiveStars birthday reward at Burnt Crumbs is a free sandwich - score! Husband and I decided to head there to redeem my sandwich but also get some fluffy soufflé pancakes, as I was having a hankering. I decided on the pancakes with strawberry compote and got the sausage breakfast sandwich for my freebie, which comes with a side of tots. They don't wrap the tots or sandwich in a box, which I appreciate because no one wants soggy tots or condensation on their bun. It's true, the souffle pancakes deflate when you get them home in the takeout box - they really are meant to be eaten immediately, and the toppings are provided separately so you can add them at your convenience but it does take a bit of the 'wow factor' away. However, I've given Burnt Crumbs 5 stars because they kept everything safe and social distanced, their staff was super friendly, and in COVID times, it's nice to see the care they are still putting into their food. read more

There was a long line going out of the restaurant on a Sunday morning. We got strawberry soufflé pancakes, chilaquiles, and a corned beef hash breakfast sandwich. The food tasted good, until we found a thick, black hair sticking out of the beef. They refunded us for the sandwich. read more

Burnt Crumbs is definitely one of my top 5 brunch spots. Service is excellent and amazingly quick. We went on a holiday and we were in and out of there within 30min tops. Cute ambiance with plenty of outdoor seating. The ketchup dispenser may need an upgrade haha but the food is EXCELLENT! Definitely order the breakfast burrito and soufflé pancake. read more

Hubby and I were hungry for a sandwich so we popped in for a bite. The menu was limited (about 8 sandwiches) so it was nice to not have to stand there and figure out what we wanted to order. I had the Spaghetti Grilled Cheese, and he had the Reuben. We split our orders with each other so we had the best of both worlds. The Spaghetti Grilled Cheese was really good. They bake the spaghetti which makes it dry, but in a good way. It's not a drippy spaghetti mess when you bite into it. Instead you you get a perfect bite of spaghetti with glorious, gooey, mozzarella cheese! It comes with a side of marinara, which I didn't use. The Reuben was equally as delicious. The pastrami was cooked to melt in your mouth perfection. There's nothing worse than dried out pastrami, and you won't fine that here. I'm not a fan of sauerkraut, but theirs blended so nicely and wasn't overpowering. We enjoyed both sandwiches and will definitely be back for more! read more

We came on a whim Saturday afternoon. I ordered the breakfast rice bowl. I HATE onions, but was assured they were not as much. They weren't able to omit because it was pre mix. That wasn't the issue. The rice is severely undercooked. I was eating chucks of hard rice and it was getting stuck in my teeth. Needs major seasoning. Had to drench in ketchup. Def not worth it. 1/5- Breakfast Rice Bowl. Soufflé Pancakes- 5/5. Fluffy and delicious. Syrup was great. Breakfast burrito 3/5- eh it need more flavor or sauce in the burrito itself. The side of tots needed salt as well. It was okay. We stopped by here after going to hot yoga pre-COVID. There was a lot of people dining inside and outside in the patio areas. But the workers were really nice and tried to move the line along. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my fiance got the omelette. We also got a half order of the jiggly pancakes. The food came out in a timely manner. The breakfast burrito was good, the salsa that it came with paired well with the burrito. It wasn't too greasy which is what I liked. The omelette was alright though, it was a bit plain. The side of potatoes that it came with was really good. Lastly, the jiggly pancakes was the reason why I came. The pancakes were a disappointment. It wasn't as fluffy as I thought it was. I had the same kind of pancake in Japan and it was way softer and jiggly in Japan. And I really did not like the berry compote that it came with. It was very tart and didn't really bring the whole dish together. read more

Food was awesome. Best bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich i've had. The eggs were fluffy, bacon was crispy, cheese was melted, and the sauce was great! Plus, the perfect crispy level for a side of potatoes! Usually anywhere else they're mushy, but I like mine crispy...and these were perfectly crispy! Service was amazing too! We got the strawberry soufflé pancakes and the fried chicken sandwich with home fried potatoes. The potatoes are AMAZING!!! Get them! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried with just the right amount of light crunch and soft fluffy potatoes inside. So good. The pancakes are so fluffy, light and airy, but not too airy where you feel like you're eating nothing. The strawberry cream was a bit too sweet, but the compote was just the right balance of sweet and tartness. The fried chicken sandwich was so blah. The chicken wasn't seasoned nor fried enough. It was soggy. The gravy was weird, it was like a sweet gravy? Not my cup of tea. The biscuit wasn't good either. Probably the worst fried chicken sandwich I'd had. Would definitely not order again. I would definitely come back just for the potatoes tho. Maybe I'll try one of the breakfast sandwiches next time. Plenty of parking in this plaza. read more

We ordered the Breakfast Fried Rice and the Strawberry Cream Soufflé Pancakes. My favorite of the 2 was definitely the fried rice. The seasonings were perfect. It normally comes with a fried egg on top but my friends usually like scrambled eggs so we substituted those. I'm sure it's even better with the fried egg. The soufflé pancakes were beautiful and expertly crafted with a creamy inside. But I think I personally prefer normal pancakes. If soufflé pancakes are your thing, you should give Burnt Crumbs a try. Service was quick and friendly. And there was plenty of outdoor seating. read more

We've been here many times and I can easily drop a 5-star on Burn Crumbs. They're famous for the soufflé pancakes - which is understandable! Light, fluffy, airy, sweet, and beautifully presented. But everything else here is also crafted perfectly and super tasty. I love their hot chicken sandos, their breakfast potatoes are THE GREATEST (perfectly crispy outside and melty inside like a potato should be!), and the only thing I haven't had that I can't comment on is the burrito. I'm not a burrito girl, but I know that's a popular item so I can't give you any info on those. Everything else? So solid. Also the service - super super friendly, everyone working here is always in a great mood and the overall vibes are so fun there. Highly recommend! read more

First time coming here and it was alright. For a Monday afternoon the parking lot was busy -it took a few minutes to find parking. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The ambiance was laid back with outside seating which was nice! As far as the food, it was nothing to rave about. We ordered the strawberry and peaches & crème soufflé pancakes, which don't get me wrong look amazing, but were lacking in flavor for us. My bf also ordered a Vietnamese coffee, which he said had a burnt flavor. I had an orange juice that was pretty good, but nothing special. Overall is was okay but definitely not worth the $50 for breakfast. read more

We came to Burnt Crumbs because we heard about their amazing soufflé pancakes, and they did not disappoint! They were soft and jiggly without being undercooked. We had the seasonal peaches & cream flavor, along with a fantastic spam fried rice and carne asada omelette. We arrived at 8:30am on a Saturday at opening, and the line soon had 20 people. But the service is quick (you order at the counter and get a number) and there are plenty of outdoor tables outside along with a few inside. read more

The breakfast burritos by default come with fried "breakfast homestyle potatoes" on the side, as well as a cup of house red salsa. Sriracha/Extra Red Salsa are available by request at no charge.

Then I opened the little bag that I believed would have a pickle and it had a chocolate chip cookie. No pickle on the side. Disappointing experience.

It paired really well with the fries, especially with the aioli sauce, which I would definitely recommend getting. The soft scrambled egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich was simple, but really comforting and satisfying. The eggs were soft and fluffy, and the cheddar added a nice richness. For the mango weekly special soufflé pancake, the pancake itself was super fluffy and soft, but the mango didn't taste the freshest and didn't pair as well with the pancake as I expected. This place is a gem. I ordered to-go breakfast as soon as they open. I ordered 3 soufflé pancakes - one each from their menu, 2 Vietnamese coffees. Both pancakes and coffees are yummy, although coffee is a little bit on the sweeter and stronger side, if your not used to Vietnamese coffee, this might be too strong for you. Anyway, I had to make a couple changes on my phone order, they made the changes without a fuss even on a busy Saturday morning. As soon as I walked in to pick up food, one staff member welcomed me with a smile and got my order right away. They have a great team and seem to be working together very well, everyone was so nice, again, considering a busy Saturday morning. They're handling the flow very well. The biscuit is good and buttery...has the density that you would expect from a biscuit but much more moist and chewy and is baked to that crunchy golden brown that we all love ! The chicken is fried to perfection and the honey sriracha on top is the best addition. The mashed potatoes are okay.. good but it's a thin layer that you almost forget it's there. I had to minus one star bc their "free drink check in" ONLY applies to soda (did not see that stated on Yelp) However... pay the extra .50 and get that sweet tea (with strawberry purée)! Be sure to mix well and it's the perfect drink to wash everything down! Very refreshing ! They also have the sweet tea with raspberry purée but did not try it. Anyways.. great lunch spot! Prices are a little on the expensive side, so this isn't necessarily the cheapest casual meal around, but I thought the quality made it worth the extra cost. One thing to keep in mind is that indoor seating is fairly limited. Depending on when you visit, finding a table could potentially be a challenge. Thankfully, there is outdoor seating available as well, which is a nice option, especially with Southern California weather. Overall, great food and fantastic service. As for the coffee, it's not really my thing -- I usually head to the Starbucks just down the street for my caffeine fix. The food can be a bit on the dry side, so definitely make use of the salsas to help add some flavor. Portion sizes are decent, though. One thing to note is the service -- it's pretty minimal. I got the infamous spaghetti grilled cheese and my friend got the meatball sandwich (in which we both ended up sharing half of our sandwiches with each other). We also got fries to share.
