Stopped by here after picking up a drink next door at ROK to grab some ramen. The server told us that no drinks are aloud inside so I asked if we could sit outside. She said no drinks outside either. So after looking at each other awkwardly we just left. I'm sure the reason is because they want you to buy drinks from them which we would have. This place was really cute. Decorated very nicely. We came in on a Saturday evening around 6:30 and they were very busy. We placed an order and they kept giving us everything we ordered 1 by 1, and not all at once, which is totally fine. But it got to a point where they forgot a few of our stuff. They apologized so still it was fine, we underwood. But at the end, one of the ladies working was trying to argue with me saying she did give us one of the orders when in reality she didn't. Buroso is located within a plaza - there is seating both indoors and outdoors but the space itself is quite small. I tried the taro milk tea and the brothless ramen , Orenji, with ground chicken. Based on other reviews, I thought the ramen would be packed with flavor but it was just okay, however the noodles were quite delicious - perfect texture. The taro milk tea was the star of the show, the milk tea flavor was so good - not overwhelming whatsoever and the same goes for the boba. They don't have a liquor license but they do offer non-alcoholic beer. Service was good, we made a reservation and were seated promptly. There is underground parking available. read more

It's the best place to get 'everything' as they offer almost every ramen kind available. Everything is good, but rather mild. Perfect place when you want to try asian food (ramen) without getting overwhelmed. Portion is satisfying for a single meal, and the pricing doesn't break the bank. They also have a selection of milk tea, and the butterfly pea milk tea really do tastes like cotton candy like they described. It's not too sweet and the tea is not too strong. A real allrounder. Not a good place for a meeting (it's busy and not too big, so a line will quickly form), but it's not too noisy that you can't hold a conversation. read more

A truly great meal! It was a cold and rainy day, so my friend and I decided ramen would hit the spot and we made the right choice coming to Burosu Ramen to scratch that itch. We decided to share some dishes and went with their Specialty Rolls Lunch Set special. For $17, you get a choice of one of the listed ramen soups, as well as one of the listed specialty rolls. We also added an order of chicken gyoza for an additional $6. We saw that they had spicy tuna on crispy rice, so ordered one of those as well. Chicken gyoza: yum! They were pan fried to perfection. Nice and crispy on the outside, beautifully browned and not too greasy. The filling was nice and juicy. Delicious! Reddo Ramen: this is a spicy tonkatsu ramen with a choice of ground pork or chicken. We went with the ground pork. The broth was very flavorful with the a good spice level that doesn't overwhelm the senses. The other ingredients--1/2 egg, spinach, eggplant and Naruto-- all complimented each other nicely and along with the perfectly cooked egg noodles, came together for a very satisfying dish. For the specialty roll, we opted for the "I'm Happy"...and we were! The roll has salmon skin, cucumber and gobo, topped with a piece of salmon, micro greens and black tobiko. Just wow. The salmon was fresh and very buttery, which contrasted nicely with the crunchiness of the salmon skin, cucumber and gobo. So good! Spicy tuna on crispy rice: another winner! The crispy rice was thicker than what I've usually had, but they did both good job giving it a crispy outside and soft interior for a nice change of texture, and that's just with the rice. The spicy tuna was fresh and also flavored well. Two thumbs up! The place is not that big, so they only had one server in the front of house taking care of everyone. I wish I had caught her name because she is a rock star. We saw her deal with some other difficult customers with true grace. She was very apologetic for the delay in getting to us but she managed to take care of us with numerous check ups and a smile. Craving ramen? This is the spot to try for sure! After trying Burosu for the first time, it's become one of my favorite ramen places and I'm eager to return so I can try all the rest of their ramen. Since it was happy hour, we tried the avocado toast and salmon skin hand roll, both of which were very yummy! For ramen, I tried their classic ramen that was delicious! My husband really liked the Burakku, which was soy broth with chicken. It's on the street level located at a mini mall. Just under CPK. Burosu Ramen is located in a little plaza on Ventura Blvd. Parking can be pretty easy if you park in a nearby lot or are able to score parking on the main street. Inside you will find a cute little (4-5 tables or so) dining area and a bar that pumps out a LOT of delicious teas and ramen dishes. Service is pretty friendly, your host will greet you and you will be seated basically right away. The menu for the food doesn't have too much variety but just enough to give slight options.. I wish the ramen had a bit more of a unique or stand out flavor but I found it to be pretty standard tasting. Like, this isn't a spot I would make a drive for but I would come out of pure convenience. The variety of tea's were pretty good! We came here fairly late after a visit to Universal Studio. The decor was cute and had a studio ghibli feel to it. I highly recommend the chicken karaage which came out hot and juicy. Maki rolls were generously sized and tasted fresh despite the fact there were no sushi bar. Boba tea were ok, I think they light side and a little expensive compare to the food. As for the ramen, don't expect a rich bold broth. The broth here was on the light side, more like Chinese noodle soup than Japanese ramen. I found this restaurant from Yelp's 100 best ramen spots in California. Such a great find! It has all 3 of my favorite foods - ramen, sushi, and boba! My brother and I got the spicy tuna hand roll, avocado hand roll, spider roll, kurimu ramen, karaage chicken, gyoza, brown sugar milk tea with boba, and okinawa milk tea with boba The ramen was delicious! Great flavor broth, texture of the noodles, and variety of toppings included. The karaage chicken and gyoza were ok. They were kind of heavy and I wish there was a sauce for the karaage. The hand rolls were great! The spiciness of the tuna was perfect and they were full. My brother didn't care for the spider roll. The bobas were in comically tall cups at 22oz and were way too sweet. We were surprised they didn't have a non-dairy option. They tasted more milky than tea-y, and the boba texture wasn't super great. The service here is great. It's a small business and the employees work really hard here without being frazzled or make you feel rushed at all. As we were waiting for a table, a customer stopped the waitress that he was so impressed by the service before he left. I love this place, and I'm looking forward to coming back more! They accept Apple Pay and credit card. There is metered parking on Ventura and then some street parking on the side streets. What a wonderful little restaurant. They have a lot of variety on their menu from sushi to ramen to curry plates. They have a huge range of drinks and teas with and without caffeine. Their passion tea was really good. The garlic edamame was BOMB. So much garlic and sauce and flavor. Not just sprinkled with salt. The ground chicken ramen was really good and I like that you can build your own ramen bowl for pretty cheap too. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It's not pork belly but lean pork loin that is simply boiled without any marinade. Really dry and chewy. Not at all what you would expect for a bowl of tonkotsu. The egg was really overcooked and not marinaded which was also very strange for a ramen joint. I'd like to come back but the chashu and egg really turned me off. The broth could have been a tad warmer but hey it's all good. Love their happy hour from 3-6 daily. $5 off ramen and deals on appetizers and drinks, $33 gets you two bowls, an order of croquettes, and chicken gyoza. I had the most popular ramen -- forget the name. It was good. But my daughter had the Reddo -- wow! Should have gotten that! So dang good! To start off on a positive note- the service was great our waitress was very sweet and attentive. That is pretty much the only good thing I can say about this place though. The food came and it was so cold even though it was supposed to be a hot ramen. It was like they threw in every cold topping straight from the refrigerator into the broth and sent it out. It being cold wasn't the only problem though. The broth was pretty much flavorless. I've gotten more flavor using bone marrow and aromatics at home in 2 hours than there was in that ramen. Our waitress kindly and quickly offered to go heat it up for us but it was not only pricy but had a terrible flavor. We let them know after trying it that we no longer wanted it and were just going to leave because it was just not worth it to waste my time and money eating that. read more

I ordered the Burraku Ramen (shoyu), and to be fair, it was actually pretty solid. But my husband got the Howaito Ramen (tonkotsu), and he was disappointed. The broth was lukewarm and lacked the rich, savory depth you'd expect from a proper tonkotsu. The ramen did hit the spot after a cold day, and it was a close drive from Universal but I probably wouldn't go back. The interior is small but pretty and very well air conditioned (it's hot in the Valley right now!). Their patio is cute, with pretty, cheerful yellow chairs and matching umbrellas. My girlfriend and I came here together to try lunch, and we ordered a great sampling: seaweed salad, tofu salad, Umami Crisp (crispy Brussels sprouts), spicy albacore sushi, spicy tuna roll, and salmon skin roll. We also got a free order of edamame with sea salt as a Yelp check-in perk. Nice! I love a generous Yelp check-in deal. Everything was tasty. My girlfriend and I agreed that the Brussels sprouts were our favorite. The salmon skin roll was a bit weird to me at first, but it grew on me. My favorite was the spicy tuna. The happy hour menu offered really good prices, and I'd definitely try more! I enjoyed how ice cold water was served in chilled stainless steel glasses. Service, unfortunately, was slow. We had to get up to order more rolls, and we had to get up to get our check. We were there at off-hours, sitting down at 3:30 PM and wrapping up by about 5 PM, but they were not busy and I would've preferred our server to check in on us instead of having to go to her. Overall, Burosu is a lovely neighborhood restaurant, their menu is interesting, and their prices are fair. This is not the kind of place that serves sushi with the quality of a place like Sugarfish. Probably one of the better ramen spots in Studio City. It's sort of a ramen/Thai fushion restaurant in the sense that the food is Japanese but the styling is sort of Thai. I believe it's actually run by a part Japanese part Thai man. First, the decor is very cozy and well-kempt. It's well decorated and quite clean, the dining area and the front of house. Second, I had the Tsukemen and the Thai Iced Tea. The Tsukemen was probably one of the best I've had so far. The dipping sauce is delicious, I believe the taste was quite on the nose, very easy to eat, it's not heavy. The portion sizing was good for me too. The egg was kind of over-cooked, but I believed more could be done about the egg to make it taste better in general. The Thai Iced Tea was not the best I've ever had, but it was good enough to pass. I think the tea in general was better here when I got take-out here once. Third, I thought the service was very friendly, not overbearing. Just a simple check-in to see if my food was good. I should've asked for a water, but didn't get particularly asked if I wanted one. Though I'm not sure what the actual protocol should be with getting a drink, personally it'd be nice for them to ask if I want a water too, especially with a fatty meal. Overall, a good experience. My party of 7 was seated instantly and all the food came out within only 10 minutes! Dishes are very affordable, within the range of $14-$18. If you dine in during Happy Hour, the ramen gets an additional $5 off. Pick Me Roll - Spicy tuna was fresh, and paired perfectly with the avacado and seared albacore. The soy sauce and wasabi was a nice addition, but I think eel sauce would have been perfect. Burakku Ramen - The broth is soy sauce-based and was very warm and comforting.
