My first time here. The beef bowl was good! Beef was tender but burnt on some pieces. Veggies and beans were fresh. The reason for the 3 stars was because of a bad attitude employee. She seemed upset and made comments when I enquired about extra onions. When she told me there was a charge I declined. She wasn't happy with that for some reason and started mumbling about it in front of me for not wanting the extra onions. I ignored it. At the register as I was paying I asked the cashier about hot sauce, the cashier asked the woman employee to get him one and she did but started mumbling and complaining about getting the hot sauce that it was free and that I turned down the extra onions. Poor attitude! 7-12-20 5:30pm, Jasmine G. on the receipt. read more

One of the best spots you'll find at this airport! We were drawn to Burrito Beach by all of the people lining up. The concept here is similar to Chipotle, but in my opinion the options are wider. They offer breakfast burritos, salad bowls, vegan choices, tacos, toasted burritos... It was great to see healthy options! We ordered two burritos and were very content. The guac and salsas were included in the price, and the staff has no problem adding extra of an ingredient that you like. The chips were also a favorite! If you want to have a filling meal without breaking the bank, I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Competent but not thrilling. My wife liked her carne asada steak, my asada chicken was ho-hum. Inferior to Chipotle, IMHO.

Not as good as it looks. I had a steak burrito with extra steak and unfortunately the meat was too tough. All the other ingredients were just fine but when it came to chewing the meat, it gave me jaw muscle. The service also seems to be a poor experience with no smile and a small attitude, small enough to be picked up on the radar. If I give place another chance, it will be to see if the chicken is at least good. read more

This place is located in the food court with limited options for meals. It was about 10 so I ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo, eggs, mild salsa, romane lettuce and cheese. This place is set up just like a Chipotle or Moes. Order tell them what you want on it and pay at the end. The chorizo had no spice to it and the mild salsa was really just bland. It was however wrapped well and had fast service. On top of that the burrito was big and filling enough to hold me over through my flight. read more

Every time I go to the restaurant and order food. The service is outstanding. The food is always hot and delicious. The manager Karen and Jasmine are great people and great customer service. I will continue to order food from here in the near future. read more

The food doesn't look as good as the photos on their signs, but it tastes pretty good. Service is very fast, like any other quick Mexican in this category (Moe's, Chipotle, etc). I think they do a very nice job on their grilled vegetable assortment. They include more variety than average with zucchini, squash, and kale in addition to standard peppers and onions. I would eat there again in a pinch, but nothing special that I'd go out of the way for. They put way too much sour cream on my bowl. Maybe it's my fault, because I didn't know I needed to tell him to stop? I finally begged him to stop after the entire bowl had a thick layer of sour cream on it. read more

Great fresh food. Good service.Tried a bowl, quesadilla and a burrito. All very good. Vegetarian, vegan options available. Yes, they serve alcohol. Try the Michelada. read more

Every time I get Burrito Beach in the ORD airport I feel like I'm not completely satisfied. It's the best thing in the terminal, but it's no Chipotle. They have Mexican rice instead of brown rice, tastes good, but probably not the best for you. Last time I got the spicy chicken, which had a good flavor, because the regular chicken didn't look as fresh. They charge extra for vegetables and obviously for guacamole. I will probably be back next time I'm hungry in the Chicago airport! Good but nothing to fly in for! read more

Not bad. The main draw was that it was reasonably-priced; it's around $8 for a burrito. I've had some less-than-stellar experiences with simpler spots in this terminal that end up costing almost as much, so I thought I'd upgrade to an actual hot item made to my specifications. I went with the chicken burrito. You get a decent amount of chicken and the burrito is a good size. It's not quite to Chipotle/Qdoba proportions, but it will fill you up. While I didn't find any real issues, I also didn't really love my burrito either. It was just fine in the moment and did the trick of filling me from mid-morning until dinner. It's affordable. But, given the choice, I'd take either of the aforementioned burrito chains over Burrito Beach. Quality is similar but I prefer the flavor profiles of the two big guys. If you enjoy Moe's, you'll probably enjoy BB. Props to O'Hare for supporting a local chain, though! Maybe in the future I'll explore a non-burrito option. read more

Had a beef brisket burrito and it was good. Better than Qdoba but not as good as Chipotle. Also priced higher but hey, it's in the airport where $0.50 water costs $3. Quick service and a plenty of seating in the food court area. read more

Best place to grab food in O'Hare, there's a reason why the line is always long and full of airline staff lol. If you're keto they have a great option called the "low-carburrito" Only complaint is that they no longer serve the breakfast low-carb scramble, but the crew is friendly and always make me something that best resembles the old menu item which I appreciate. read more

Well, decided to stop here after a short layover. Got the steak taco meal and while the flavor was good, it was a soggy mess (presumably from the steak juices and mild sauce generously applied to the taco). It was hard to hold up without everything coming unraveled. Wife had a salad bowl and said she would not get it again, she noted that it was very mushy and the chicken was burnt. The prices for everything on their menu was the final insult. It was very spendy, but I suppose airline food often times is.. I would avoid this place in the future, unfortunately. read more

I'm always on the lookout for cheap and filling airport food, and I was actually pretty impressed with Burrito Beach! I ordered the "Skinny Combo" which was a grilled chicken taco with two sides- chili and quinoa- for 350 calories and $7. Chicken taco- 5 stars Honestly, I've had my fair share of tacos, but this one was delicious and tasted authentic. It contained two tortillas and a bunch of meat. Chili- 5 stars It had big chunks of zucchini, squash, onions and other veggies as well as quinoa, so the whole thing was really hearty. The serving was ~1/3 of a cup. Quinoa- 2 stars It was visually appealing because it was loaded with black beans, corn, onions and tomatoes, but it was extremely bland. The serving was ~1/3 of a cup. Service was just okay, but I've come to expect that from airport dining. Either way, for such a (mostly) delicious meal at only $7, I would easily return when I'm at O'Hare again! read more

AIRPORT APATHY I hate to rag on the good, hardworking people at one of the world's busiest transport hubs, but I can't shake the feeling like a select few of them just don't give a hairy rat's ass about their jobs. At noon on the first weekday in December, the food court at O'Hare was in full swing as per usual and every place from McNasties to Manchu Wok had a small line. The folks at Burrito Beach, however, weren't in any rush to get people through their queue. After the person before me was helped, I stood there for a couple of very awkward minutes before the upstream burrito dude turned around to acknowledge me. Then it was a gruff "yeah?" instead of something resembling a borderline professional attitude. My choice of baja chicken moving down the line, the next guy (who was actually pretty legit) added all the tex-mex accoutrement to my tortilla. He spun the sour cream bottle around like a trained bartender, which made me wonder why his talents were being squandered at an airport fast food place. #americasnexttopburritomaker The cashier was the worst offender of the three. She made absolutely zero effort to get sh*t done in a timely fashion. With my food made and chillin' in a bag, there were a few minutes of playful banter with her burrito buddies before she rang up my order. Giving a customer their long-awaited lunch should be exciting, cheer up lady! The baja burrito was a'ight. For $7.50 it had all the same stuff as Chipotle/Qdoba but as I got closer to the end of my meal the pink-tinged chicken didn't make me feel any better about my decision. Generally apathetic workers and semi sketchy poultry makes my first visit to O'Hare's Burrito Beach also my last. I did get a beer next door, though. That helped. read more

Surprisingly good burritos! I was really expecting a disaster, but these were pretty good - I had a BBQ chicken burrito and the chicken had a ton of flavor and was seasoned perfectly. For $5 or $6 I got a very satisfying a quick meal...not bad. read more

My favorite stop in front of K4. I always get the Baja chicken burrito and a small bottle of water. I always get the same questions from the manager, usually in this order, so be prepared: "Anything to drink with that?" "Where you headed today, boss?" "Far away from home now, aren't we?" "Man, you're all over the place, ain't ya?" read more

Good Mexican food, quick service, and little mess -- what more could you ask for at an airport? I ordered the grilled veggie quesadilla and holy guacamole was it cheesy. Very flavorful veggies and the salsa in the little container was superb. 10/10 would recommend the Burrito Beach. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with this Burrito Beach location. It was 9am and I had a free burrito coupon to redeem. I ordered a grilled veggie burrito and 1 minute later it was in my hands. It all happened so fast! I presented my coupon without any issues. I sat down in the food court and unwrapped my burrito. It was huge!! Unfortunately I didnt have a knife so I walked back up to the cashier and asked for a knife. She gave it to me no questions asked. I then realized I needed a fork! At this point, the place was getting busy. But I didnt care, I needed a fork! I threw myself at the girl and told her I needed a fork. Again she gave it to me with no questions asked. Great customer service here! I would come back! read more

Located in Terminal 3 at the food court by gates H & K. Very convenient gives you another option to choose from. I had the chicken quesadilla. Can't really complain! Because I go a chicken quesadilla. It had chicken, and cheese in a crispy tortilla. It was nothing special, the workers really didn't care much about service. They were to interest about a girl they just talked to, including the manager. Overall it was fine, airport fast food, did the job. read more

I am sitting here a little stunned. I love burritos. I eat everything in a soft shell. I once believed that anything wrapped in a burrito, even bad airport food, would brighten my day. Now, because of a burrito from this stupidly named airport stall, my burrito optimism is gone. Of the dozens of burritos I have eaten all over the US, I can say with certainty that this was the worst burrito I have ever eaten. Worst. Ever. By far. I ordered a veggie & goat cheese burrito with everything on it, and hoped for something unusual but edible. What I got was a HEAPING pile of black beans over a small pile of rice topped with a few scattered ingredients. It was a relatively small burrito, which can be good at the airport, but every bite was overwhelmed by the bland flavor of mediocre beans. Less than halfway through the burrito started pouring black bean juice all over my hand. A little after that, the soggy remains of the burrito fell apart. I tried to keep eating, but it was a big mess and a lot of trouble for a series of unpleasant black-bean-bites. Now I'm sitting in the H/K food court at O'Hare annoyed and full of beans. Hopefully the other passengers on my upcoming flight won't have to suffer too. read more

COST: $8 (Lo-Carb Bowl with FREE #GUAC!) I don't seriously know how people could rate this place so low. For a low carber like me, this is heaven. Now I thankfully didn't get any of Chipotle's ecoli infest meals, but the thing that makes this place amazing is the FREE GUACAMOLE for low carb options. Low carb usually avoids the rice, beans and tortillas. My order was salad, salsa, cheese, chicken and guacamole. I had it for lunch flying out of ORD AND I had it again when I landed. Highly recommended! read more

This is my old standby when in Terminal A flying Alaska or American. It suits any non-Kosher diet. Pig out city gut bomb burritos. Lean low fat things (yuk) and even Atkins friendly choices (sans bacon). Food is actually pretty good and I'm such a burrito fiend I almost named my first born after La Cumbre. A much better choice than MaChu Wok, Sabarros and the other crap airport spots. Anyway, I'm low carbin' it and they have a Low Carburrito bowl. A good ratio of lettuce to meat (Chicken is all they offer, and the server was confused / non-compliant when I requested beef). Nice variety of fresh tasting accompaniments. And free of charge, a big heaping of jalapeno peppers - just what you need before the coach flight to Frankfurt. Only problem is that I had this meal 4 hours ago and can still taste it and my stomach feels like a blender is inside it. Hopefull it gets better than worse ... read more

Visited Burrito Beach at the airport in Chicago. Not a lot of options outside of fast food in the Terminal H food court. This is fast food but there are healthy options. I must say they provided healthy and delicious airport food options at a fairly affordable price relatively speaking. I had a grilled chicken bowl but substituted quinoa for rice. This option alone was enough to make me like the place! The bowl was served with romaine, quinoa, choose of protein or veggie base, mild or medium salad, cheese, corn and an onions and cilantro. Pretty healthy for airport food and tastes good too! The only con was there was a ridiculously long line BUT this was prevalent throughout the entire food court. read more

This really is my favorite spot at O'Hare airport. The line runs quickly and efficiently and I seem to crave the burritos here even after years of enjoying them. I can't say enough great things about Karen. She seems to pride herself in knowing and remembering so many of the employees and repeat customers as they order their burritos. I can't remember what my own kids look like after I've been gone for a week. She runs a tight ship and her pride and work ethic is contagious to her fellow employees. Five stars all the way. After having consumed a couple of hundred burritos here I can say this place has never lost its consistency of great taste and outstanding service. read more

In the mid airport dash it caught my eye and look reasonable and quick. It was both. As well as tasty. Run of the mill steak burrito with rice, beans, pico, lettuce and sour cream. The steak had a bit of a rub on it that had some zest to it (i'm a weanie, I know). Luckily the sour cream drowned out the heat. A little messy for the plane since I leaked some sauce into the foil wrapper and barely avoided my jeans. Not cool for someone traveling all day in the same pair of pants. Near miss aside, food was good. read more

Burrito Beach is a good find for Vegetarians/Vegans as they have a few options. One being the Vegetarian (it is Vegan) chili. It includes organic quinoa, and is quite filling. It's a better alternative than McDonald's. The workers have a strategic plan set up to gather your order when there's a line. Unfortunately not everyone who joins the line knows exactly what they want as soon as they get in line. The woman on the grill today demanded I provide my order and when I didn't know what I wanted because there was like 20 people ahead of me she was frustrated. So when I make it up to the counter and I have a chance to order, she makes the order and like of slams it on the counter like she's upset. Never mind she was able to take the other orders behind me without any problems. So when she slams the order down the guy assembling the burritos looks confused. She then says,"Yeah earlier, she was too excited to order." She said it with a really angry tone. It took all the strength I had not to laugh. I'm sitting here like you are making burritos at a busy airport, and your biggest issue today is the fact I didn't know what kind of meat I wanted on my burrito two seconds after I joined the line? Ha ha ha, her attitude was so poor. Would I eat there again? Yep, you see her make the food. A lot of people these days are angry with their jobs and taking it out on customers. I would go there again because the food was good. Customers keep this place open, but her attitude was hilarious at best. They had a tip jar that was empty, go figure! Ha ha ha read more

This is my first experience at a Burrito Beach and overall I am impressed...with the food. Located in the food court at Chicago O'Hare I needed vegetables for dinner/lunch. Since I already had a horrible experience at Manchu Wok I did not have too many choices besides Burrito Beach. I ordered a veggie burrito and veggie chili. Since you order at the counter and walk down the line it didn't take long to get food. Great since I was starving. I decided to eat the chili first but since it almost melted the container it was in it was so hot I decided on the burrito first. It was great. Loaded with rice, beans, and veggies it was packed with flavor. Once I finished with the burrito I decided to try the chili. Imagine sticking your tongue into a boiling pot of water. Yes folks. Even after 10 minutes it was still boiling hot. I decided I could wait so I packed it up and walked to my next gate. After a bathroom break I opted for a glass of adult beverage and stopped at slow customer service Chili's. I set the bag of chili on the table and there was a hole in the side where the lava hot chili had escaped. It is now 40 minutes later and I can finally eat it without burning my tongue, esophagus and other vital body parts. The only negative I can say about Burrito Beach, and the reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is their customer service. A robot would have more feeling and interest in the customers. I interacted with 3 employees and it was all the same. Maybe they were robots. If that was the case, well done. I'm impressed. Anyway I would go back. The food was good enough. read more

During a short layover, I got in the long line for this eatery located in the food court. Since we would be eating our food on the plane, I decided to get bowls instead of burritos. The burritos were good, but not $24.90 good so next time I will be more careful when placing my order. read more

For airport food, this place was not too bad. I got one of the Beach Bowl Salads and while it was delicious and light but still filling, I could have gone with some spicier salsa. For airport food... This place isn't bad. I got a baja chicken salad that was pretty tasty. Lettuce was relatively fresh, chicken seasoned well, and their salsa was good. Surprisingly good for airport food, set up a bit like Chipotle. After eating noting but heavy, greasy food during my stay in Chicago, I was craving some veggies before my flight. I ended up ordering the Lo-Carburrito Salad, which comes with guac, cheese, chicken and salsa on top of a bed of romaine. I got a very generous portion of chicken that was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, and the guac was spot-on. I got the chips as well since I couldn't gauge my level of hunger, but those turned out to be rather disappointing. A bit too thick and bland, IMHO. Still, I'd recommend Burrito Beach if you're hungry and in a rush... just skip the chips! read more

You know that feeling when you want something so bad and you can't have it? lol. That was me at O'Hare wanting Tortas Frontera but not having enough time to order because my flight was going to leave. That left Burrito Beach. I ordered a barbacoa bowl with rice/beans and cheese and cream on top, corn, and salsa. It was good but not amazing! I think the beef needed more flavoring. It just needed a lot more flavoring overall (or salt). Also, got the guacamole and chips. The chips were store-bought or commercially bought and not fresh. The guacamole was just okay. This fulfilled the hunger but did not fulfill the craving. Womp womp... read more
