Big fan of the chain, Burrito Express. This location brings shame to the name. Service was good. A little "to good". Received my food a couple minutes after ordering. I ordered the chicken supreme. One of the worse I've had. HUGE chunks of tomatoes, onions, and potato skins.. the beans had on off taste to it. Green Salsa was like soup and had no flavor. Threw the burrito away after 2-3 bites. Disclaimer: I'm from Southern California. I take burritos seriously. This is the best bean and cheese burrito I have found in the area. If this place had been here when I started college, I'd weigh 200 more pounds. Most Mexican food around here tastes good when you're drunk, I wouldn't enjoy it sober. Now the game has changed. Burrito Express is cheap and the closest thing you'll find to an authentic california burrito place. I can't speak for other burritos or dishes, but the bean and cheese burrito for sure smacks. Good and convenient breakfast spot. I've had the breakfast supreme burrito a couple times and it was good but I'm not a fan of others ppls eggs. However, I started to just customize my burrito with double bacon, potatoes, and cheese, which did it for me :) The red and green salsa they give is flavorful and pairs well with the burrito. read more

I'm not sure why this place has the reviews it has. This place is a dishonor to my Mexican heritage and shouldn't be serving Mexican food. Chorizo was dry, looks like it was days old, salsa is sub par. I really hope this was just a one time fluke but one time is all is takes to keep me away. The food here is pretty good. I don't get the hours they have though. Closed at only 3pm??? Banks are open later than this place! The wierd wall at the counter designed to obscure the view of what's going on in the kitchen is obnoxious and obvious. This place absolutely sucks at following directions, they don't want to answer the phone because they're "short handed" but it's really because they're so stupid they can't even take an order over the phone and get it right. Then when you order through door dash or Uber eats they STILL fuck the orders up even the all they have to do is read the order. Oh my goodness!!! Their burritos are really good. I got a bean and cheese burrito and some rolled tacos. All of which were very good. A couple of the guys got the spicy chicken. Based on their reactions it was realllyyyy spicy. So take warning, even when you do like spicy food because half of our group could barely handle it. I haven't personally tried it but I heard the breakfast burritos are really good as well. That might be my next trip, for breakfast. The owners are exceptionally nice and so excited about ASU. Now this is a big deal for us because my girl does t like eggs so when we find a place that's cool with sub-ing out eggs for something else it's a MAJOR plus! Waited 25 minutes for a takeout order. Watched the employee take the burrito out of my carry out order and serve it to the customer in front of me that ordered the same thing. Then proceeded to tell me it was going to be a while, after finally serving me my food, the *added* beans were left off of both burritos. Not only did this experience cost me 25 minutes of my time, but the additions we paid for on our burritos were never added. I've been here probably 15+ times, never have a waited that long, and never have I been served such a small burrito. Terribly let down, clearly they cannot handle the influx of customers they receive with all the construction projects around. Very disappointed, want my money back; you're lucky my girlfriend refused to drive back when I realized you forgot my beans. read more

Very disappointing customer experience, don't know where to begin. Keep in mind I come here on a weekly basis but that's stopping after my recent experiences. It all started when the new guy at the front started, he is a bigger guy for a better lack of words (Hispanic). I come in and has a horrible attitude which reflects in his customer service. They never answer the phone which I eventually figured out why, he is on his personal cel phone (multiple times). The phone always use to get answered, I guess he doesn't value the customers time. I asked for green salsa and could clearly tell he was bothered by it and said there is some in the bag, which there wasn't. When I opened the burritos it did not have what I asked for which he clearly charged me for. It's pretty sad considering the staff when this location started was great but has really gone downhill. My personal advice go to a smaller local owned. Seems like the quality has gone down after opening multiple locations. I'm sure I won't get a response, hopefully the owner cares about the brand and does something about his employees. Btw I agree with review below, burritos are not as big as they use to either. I've been here a few times already and normally would have left a positive review... The burritos are pretty good however they have recently increased the prices to prices that don't even make sense for how small the burritos are. Anyway, my review is more for the lack of professionalism from the MANAGER himself! I don't think he knows I speak Spanish... this last time I went (and this will be the last time I support this business) I order a burrito with some added ingredients to it and he looks at me... laughs and shakes his head! Very rude and made me fee as if what I was ordering was so inconvenient for them to make. All I added was potato to my burrito and no cheese! Geez... He then yells over at his employee "no queso y con papas wey" I normally don't mind slang Spanish language but he's a manager and should be a little more professional. When he hands over the food, I said thank you. And he just looks away and throws the bag over at me... Not even a "you're welcome thanks for stopping in" Very rude and HORRIBLE customer service! As a professional myself, I value these things when people are spending money for a product or service.
