This was a great Mexican restaurant we stumbled on in the neighborhood. It's definitely a small store, but it included really authentic Mexican food. The staff are always so friendly and the food comes out quickly. There is a pretty good selection of different foods including breakfast served all day. We usually like the super burrito, it's packed with a lot of food and flavor. The chips are fried really well and always a delight. I really love the salsa bar they have, which always includes a great selection. Parking can be a bit tricky, but we haven't encountered any issues. read more

I've come here from time to time over the years. I stick with basics like a bean and cheese burrito, soft taco... It's good but not memorable. Sometimes if you try to modify the item they will make it wrong. I find their cheese to be a little salty. I do love their orange salsa as it has a nice, smoky flavor without being a five alarm fire in your mouth. Red salsa is also very good. It's been a while since I've had the salsa verde but I recall it being flavorful and hottest of the three. I find the prices to be fairly reasonable for the portion sizes. Service is polite and quick. Inside you'll find an assortment of tables and chairs and cool loteria-style artwork. Very basic but on par for the type of place this is. Parking can be a headache at peak times. I do keep this place in rotation because when I'm wanting basic Mexican food they do a good job of satisfying the craving. They're good, but not great. But for some reason great Mexican food is hard to find in this area so being good is sometimes good enough. read more

Haven't been to burrito factory in awhile and went and wanted he flauta platter. Said they didn't have it anymore. So I had to order everything à la carte. $4.00 for rice and $4.00 for beans. I had the chicken flautas and they were really mushy inside. I showed my son the inside. They have potatoes in the chicken flautas. Where is my chicken? I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. She'll just stand there, staring at some random piece of paper like she's solving world peace, while you're left wondering if you're invisible. It's almost impressive how long she can keep it up. Oh, and she always seems sick, which doesn't exactly add to the charm. The salsa bar? Just okay. They're usually out of the most popular salsa, and replenishing apparently isn't in anyone's job description. Used to be good, but recent changes have ruined the experience. I've been coming here regularly and always liked the food which was made Way better with the salsas from their salsa bar, but I'm really disappointed with the recent changes and service. About a month ago, they removed their salsa bar, which was honestly one of the best parts of eating here. Since then, getting salsa with your order has become a frustrating guessing game. A few weeks back, my larger order came with just one green and one red salsa. When I asked for more, they gave me one additional of each - barely enough. Yesterday was the final straw. I picked up my order and asked for extra salsa. The employee rudely told me she'd have to charge me for it because "there's already salsa inside." When I got home, there was **absolutely no salsa** with my order. Zero. The food itself is still pretty good, but it was the salsa bar that made this place special. Without it, and with this kind of inconsistent, poor service, I'm not sure I want to come back. To the owners: bring back the salsa bar and I'll happily return and update this review. Cami to the Burrito Factory for dinner. Ambience is very casual and laid back. Dining area decor had lots of lotteria paintings. Felt like a authentic Mexican restaurant. Service was great. Employee at the counter was welcoming and helpful in explaining menu items. They had some specials posted and I went with the fish tacos. Tacos looked good and they were not skimpy. Tortilla was a regular size, just needed to be cooked a bit more so they dont fall apart with the liquids from the salsa. Fish was tasty but needed to be cooked a bit more to add some crunch. Cabbage topping was good with some added heat to it. Tried the red and green salsa on my tacos and I preferred the heat in the green versus the red. read more

We visited on a Sunday evening, and ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, beef fajita tacos, and chips and salsa. Everything was freshly made and quite delicious! Any place that serves yummy breakfast burritos at night already gets stars in my book, but my overall experience here was more than satisfactory in all aspects. Clean and casual setting with plenty of seating and lovely loteria artwork on the walls, quick and friendly service, self-serve condiments and sauces on the side (8 different kinds... the green sauce was my fave, not too spicy, just perfect to go with my burrito), and easy parking right in front of the restaurant. Note, there are no public restrooms here, so hopefully you don't gotta go. But definitely go to the burrito factory! read more

While there are multiple locations within' the area, this place has been a staple for the Almaden community as this is the closest location. I've been coming here ever since my high school days (a long time ago ) and I am happy to see they are still here doing business. Burrito factory in my opinion has the best breakfast burrito in the local area - specifically referring to the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. This is what my wife and I usually order when we come here and it never disappoints. The breakfast burrito includes beans, eggs, chorizo and a good amount of cheese. I recommend adding potatoes in it as it helps balance out all the flavors and grease from the chorizo and adds another texture to each bite. I also recommend using the green salsa for this burrito - truly a satisfying experience. The only thing that has disappointed me Is the size of the burrito has gotten smaller throughout the years. I'm assuming it's due to inflation and higher cost of goods. I would be open to paying a little more to keep the product/size the same. They have a salsa bar which you can get access to all their different salsas and is extremely convenient as most other places are not as generous with the sauces/salsas (la Vic's charges .25 for each additional sauce/salsa). If you have a sweet tooth - I recommend trying out their churros. They are absolutely delicious - especially when cooked fresh. They have a wide variety of different burritos and plates so I recommend you giving this location a shot! read more

Yummmmm I love this place. If you want a good super burrito and the best orange sauce- this is the spot. Like another local place, they don't charge nor do they police how much orange sauce you take. Personally, I suggest four for a super burrito. The steak carne asada burrito is delicious. The sides of orange sauce and limes take it to the next level. Everyone is friendly here and service is prompt. The ambiance is noisy but there are lots of TVs so lots gather to watch sports here on Sundays. There's also a bar here so not a bad joint. Id love it if the chips were cheaper- over $5 for a medium sized bag. I guess that's normal these days but when you just want a small amount for a bit of crunch, it'd be nice if they had a smaller and cheaper option. The breakfast burritos are a 10 out of 10! So delicious! Everything I've ever ordered has been really good, except the nachos are soggy before you even get home. My mom has been hitting up this little restaurant for years and years. Yesterday, we ordered breakfast burritos and an extra burrito to go. When I got there, I paid the bill, which was $34 plus a tip. I asked for chips and salsa and was informed it would be an extra $5 charge. She did say I could help myself to the salsa bar though, which I took advantage of. I admit that the price for the chips was disappointing for me and I just couldn't bring myself to pay the money for a mini bag of chips. When I got the burritos after waiting an extra 15 minutes, there were sized below average. The quality and taste is great, but the size paired with the price is a little steep. There are 2 things I order from the Burrito Factory, the chili verge burrito and green posole. The chili verde burrito to me is the best in town and I've tried a lot. Chili Verde is such a simple dish but so hard to execute properly, burrito factory is excellent. I get the burrito with meat, rice, cilantro and onions, I hate beans. Add in the green sauce from the self serve bar and I'm good to go. If you like chili verde burritos and find one better I'd love to try that out. Posole is more during the winter, super clean and light "green soup" other places are a little bit thicker or more green, but such a great dish when it's cold. read more

My friend just told me the Meat Burrito was SOGGY and DRIPPING in MANTECA. I am super disappointed not for myself, but in having pity for a business that thinks they can treat customers like lab rats. IF you are there - check your order. Yes! open up your tacos and see that you got what you ordered. Then walk out!. No! TORM OUT, never to return. I thought I learned my lesson. But I gave them one more chance. NEVER AGAIN. We had 5 different types, including "Healthy", which is code for vegetarian, and the relatives raved about them. I placed the order on Saturday afternoon for 10 a.m. pickup on Sunday. I ordered the flautas el La carte and they were nasty. As you can see from my plate I still ate a few because I had already paid for them and I was hungry, but I couldn't eat the rest. First of all I asked if they claim it comes with guacamole, which is nasty because it taste like an imitation creamy fake guacamole. The chicken didn't have enough flavor. The flautas basically taste like the frozen ones that you get in the freezer section of Safeway. I was so damn disappointed and I will never come back her for flautas. Great little spot for burritos. I am a fan of Burrito Factory's, this one just so happens to be by my house. We came here as a family with my 3.5 years old on a Saturday afternoon. It was not busy at all. The location is very clean, service was very fast! Food was excellent! They do not have a full bar, but do serve michelada's & few other mixed drinks as well a variety of beers, seltzers, etc. It is a smaller location, but don't let that fool you - small but mighty.
