Open very late... So it's a good stop in the middle of the night for good food. I always get the veggie burrito and add avocado to it. It's so good. Lots of grilled peppers and onions in it. I love that they're open late...I'm usually in the mood for some late night steak tacos...their steak is really good, so is their salsa, but their tortillas are just blah...they should really consider yellow corn or just maybe a different brand. I work 30 seconds from this place and am addicted to Mexican food....so I eventually had to try. The first time, I ordered steak fajitas and wasn't disappointed. Most recently, I had a steak burrito and was less than pleased. It was almost like they didn't take their time. It wasn't even wrapped tightly up. How do you eat that?? I'll definitely give them another chance, but maybe stick with tacos next time. Also, the intersection this place is at makes parking and maneuvering suck! Unless you're headed south on Milwaukee. Everything is sooooo fresh, and so delicious. Such a great suburban taco spot! Wish we had more places like this back home. Honestly, one of the best places I've ever had tacos. The guacamole is sooo unbelievably fresh (so is everything else) but the guac is fantastic. Great pricing, friendly staff... My favorite was the beef taco, but my friends loved the chorizo. Really friendly, patient staff. I appreciate that they will accommodate you if you would like no sour cream, or cheese (lactose intolerant). I did order the steak taco dinner and the rice, tortillas, salad, and beans were so good. I ended up taking out the steak out of the tacos because it was dry, plain, and chewy. I felt ripped off that I basically didn't eat the steak portion of the steak taco dinner, but I'd rather throw it out than get sick. The portions are reasonable for the price. read more

This my go-to place for all those times when I am very hungry, but too tired to shop or cook or go to a seat down restaurant. I always call 10 mins ahead, and then just stop by and pick up my order. Love their fish tacos, and Al Pastor. Love even more the price - for like $7 for 3 tacos you have dinner!!! Who can beat that! This place has some of the best burritos I have ever had of any Mexican place I have ever been to! They are juicy and taste amazing! My only issue is that sometimes I forget to call in advance and you can be sitting there for 15-20 min to get your burrito. Overall great place and love coming here! I love burrito house. But my boyfriend left his wallet on the counter right after paying, In front of the workers. They obviously saw it didn't say anything when he waLked away. About not even three minutes later he went up to the counter and they didn't have it. He asked around and some guy coming out of the bathroom handed him his wallet with one dollar in it. After a big game, my stomach was rumbling. Trying to find a bite to eat, anything would've been good but I came upon one of my favorite places to eat which is Burrito House. The moment I went inside the restaurant I smelled the carne asada, the quesadillas, horchata and other Mexican food being prepared it smelled so delicious and exquisite that it made my stomach yell for food and crave a bite. The banda music playing and all the workers singing and talking Spanish, as well as most of the customers. It brought me back to when I used to live in Mexico and the similar smell to the cooking my grandma makes when my whole family was there with the amazing smell of the food and loud music playing in the background. It felt like I was back at home and it's one of the best feelings I get from being there. The cashier knows me and knows what I usually order which makes things a lot easier cause I don't have to repeat myself every time and instead we start talking about other things. The prices of the food is not bad, the meal i usually get is the quesadilla dinner which cost $8 dollars and something cents, the meal comes with 3 quesadillas and rice and beans with some salad in the side, with fresh tomatoes and some cream but since the guys know me they usually give me 5 quesadillas instead and while waiting they start talking and singing which makes the wait for the food less boring and it makes it entertaining instead because of the humorous and chill personalities they have. When the food is serve the first thing the hits you is the smell of the cheese from the quesadillas the strong smell makes your mouth watery mostly if you like to eat cheese, the quesadillas are good prepare that everytime you take a bite it's crunchy and it isn't hard to bite through the tortilla instead it's soft and a little greasy but that makes it taste a lot better. The beans and the rice go together so well that it's an amazing combination of food, the rice are well made and so are the beans. The rice and beans become even better when you take a bite from the quesadilla and then a bite from the beans and rice. The salad that comes with the dish is fresh and it's a good dessert after the meal it makes you calm and it feels relaxing after eating it. The horchata which is the drink, is one of the best drinks it's so refreshing and sweet and it taste so good, that it makes it the best meal. Once I'm done with the food one of the guys comes and asks me "was the meal good?" or would you like anything else and of course I always answer saying the meal was great and after I'm done talking he picks up the plate and takes it. Now you gotta think twice about leaving without buying anything else. While thinking about the food it makes me remember the original plates for Hispanics which is why a lot of Hispanics people go there because most plates, the music and the smell of the food brings back memories from their country and the food they bought over there or the family dinners they once had. Which is why I like to go there. I would recommend people to go to Burrito House and eat there. The service is always good and they're helpful when they have customers who don't know what to eat. The food is delicious, which it would probably make you want to come back for more. It is a place which is not very far for people that live around Des Plaines but if you live far and you wanna try it someday I would recommend it. read more

I went to burrito house on Dec 7 around 7 pm and my experience wasn't bad if you ask me. It was really close to my house an very convenient. The atmosphere of the place was nice. It wasn't too loud the music was fine. The decorations went well with the restaurant an made it feel pretty cool. I walked up to the counter an i was introduced nicely to the restaurant which is a very good thing. I looked at the menu and there was a good amount of items on the menu that attracted my eye. They had some colors that were popping out and catching the eye. The pricing was pretty good if comparing to other places around the area. I ordered cheese enchilada. It was the most appealing to me so I ordered it. After I ordered, I went to go take a seat. The seats weren't that bad but the tables were amazing. They had floral designs and it just felt like u were in Mexico. I looked around an on every table there was a different design or something similar to the others. There was a bunch of art pieces hanging. After about 7 mins my food arrived and it was hot and fresh off the grill. It was sizzling an I was ready to eat it. Before I ate there was a variety of sauces which could be used with my meal. I cut the enchilada with my fork and knife. I put it in my mouth and it was delicious. The enchilada was so cheesy and juicy it all melted in my mouth and I was so satisfied. If burrito house were to be compared to other Mexican restaurants I believe that burrito house is on the top. The food is great. The service is good. The people are nice. Food comes quick. There's nothing else you need. I believe you should go an try it yourself, you'll be satisfied just like me If I were to rate this place 1 out of 5 stars I would give it a 5. I'm so disgusted. These cooks smoke then use there bare hands to make your meal no gloves. I hate cigarettes and right after I finished eating my breath smelled like I smoked!!
