I've been at Burt and Max's 4 or 5 times and I have to say I absolutely love this place. The ambiance is nice but not too fancy and the food is very good. I'm like 75% vegetarian now so for my most recent dinner here I doubled down on the veggies. I went with roasted brussel sprouts with jalapenos and goat cheese as my appetizer and for my main I went with the beet salad with beets, tomatoes, arugula and whipped goat cheese. Both were absolutely delicious and very filling, great portion size. My wife got the Chimichurri Steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus and she said it was great as well. I also want to mention the great service here. Our waiter was very professional and quick. Aside from that, I asked him if they had any good hot sauce and he ended up making me something special in the kitchen that was fresh, hearty and off the chart spicy. I loved it. Overall I gotta give them a solid 5 stars. One of my favorite places in Delray when I'm looking for reliable deliciousness.

Large and modern looking restaurant in an outdoor mall in Delray. There's ample parking all around. We were in a larger group and were seated in a more private area towards the back of the restaurant. We were there for brunch, and pretty much everyone got the omelette except for me. I was able to steal a couple home fried potatoes from my husband's plate, and they were rather delicious. I will say I was a bit disappointed with my seafood burger. It was very dry and appeared overcooked. I almost sent it back, but did not want to hold up the rest of the party. The sweet potato fries were crisp and delicious. If I were to come here again, I'd definitely order something else. Others in my party appeared to be happy with their omelettes. Service was pretty good and attentive.

Fairly consistent, food is always good tasting sometimes it takes a little bit longer to get served but overall Service is good and ambience is fairly casual. Tried a salad with a piece of salmon on it and the salmon was slightly overcooked, but everything else was really good.

Pretty average place. Reasonable prices and fair choices of drinks and food. We went on Wednesday when nearby band were performing to large crowd of older people. Resturant is smartly appointed if undistinguished. Server helpful Burger was ok but string fries cold and needed replacement. I noticed another table had fries returned and replaced. Crab cakes good as was beet salad. Locations as one of 7-8 restaurants in this clean mall This place was busy at 6 when other restaurants less so This says that this maybe the popular choice in this immediate area. Looks good inside with two outdoor areas. One with fire pit to allow to people to wait in comfort for a table I suppose. Nice touch having outside bar.

Great neighborhood restaurant. In season it's so busy that it's hard to get a reservation. On the weekday evening we were there we were able to get a quiet table inside with a great view of the outside. I had the chicken milanese. It's served over pasta with pesto sauce. The pasta was good, but the chicken while crispy on the outside was a little chewy, possibly overcooked. The steak sandwich was dry and didn't seem to have the cheese in the description. The crispy onions were very good, and despite the deficiencies, my companion ate the whole sandwich. One of the best aspects of this restaurant is the choice of sides. On this visit we enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. My other companion thought the tuna entree was nicely prepared. The server was nice, but service was a bit slow.

We were celebrating a girls reunion this Wednesday evening and we had an inside table luckily because it was a rainy night. We were happy to have Joey as our waiter. My girlfriends who are regulars here know him well. He couldn't do enough good things for us. He took special care to make sure we had the food made to our specifications. The food was good but I feel the menu needs an update with more variation. I had a chicken quinoa power bowl with avocado. I love eating healthy. On the dinners, why don't they have baked potatoes? Healthy eaters don't eat fries or buttered mashed potatoes. They never put the brick oven chicken back on the menu for years which was my favorite. Once I gave it the most incredible review, they removed it. Very disappointed with that. Otherwise, this is a nice place to eat at the Delray Marketplace.

Met my aunts here for a little girls' night while they were visiting from out of town. The restaurant itself is really nice and the location is great! It's in a good shopping place with lots to do. Parking can be a little tricky but thankfully there's valet. As for the food, we felt a little misled. Our waitress raved about the bacon-wrapped meatloaf and none of us typically order meatloaf, but she sold it so well that all three of us went for it. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. The meatloaf itself was a little bland and the sauce was pretty overpowering. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't what we were hoping for. The brussels sprouts starter, however, was VERY good I'd definitely go back to try something else but I'll be giving the meatloaf a pass next time. Although our waitress didn't dazzle us with a food recommendation, she was FANTASTIC. Very kind and attentive to all our needs.

UPDATE** The restaurant reached out and they were sorry for our experience. *Original Review. I honestly expected a better dining experience with our friends but our server, Jacob, was not very good. I wish he would have checked what he delivered to the table which was not exactly what we ordered. He seemed really discombobulated today. To start, we were 3 couples having brunch. We had asked for our checks to be separated before we ordered due to some couples who were drinking and some were not. When it came time to pay, he had some excuse why it was one bill that he would separate when we took out our credit cards only to find out that he kept messing up the bill and had to redo it two times which frustrated us to have to get a charge refund and then be recharged. In the beginning I had asked for a martini on the rocks and it came out as a martini in a glass which he spilled the whole walk to the table which is why I asked for it be on the rocks. Then one of the other friends in our group had asked for the ingredients in the dish she was ordering and then it was served with a sauce that was not mentioned and then it needed to go back to the kitchen. When the service is less than expected, it makes the meal experience less than pleasant. The restaurant was not busy and eventhough we made a reservation, it really was not needed. I was surprised to be given a weekend brunch menu and the regular lunch menu on a Sunday at noon, where the website makes it seem like the brunch menu is the only menu available on the weekend. We ordered the Salmon-Shrimp Burger that was very good and the Greek Chicken Wrap from the brunch menu that was a very generous portion. The Crustless Quiche and the Avocado Toast were also flavorful and the Waffles with Berries seemed like a good portion too. I would return for another time to try other menu items as the food was good but I would be sure to have a different server.

Went here on a date for a late lunch... Our server, Joey was very attentive... We sat outside... food and service were good except for the flies... There were lots of flies flying around the table on my food and on my shoulders... I was surprised they didn't have those little fans on the table to get the flies away.. other than the flies. Everything was good... But next time I come, I'm sitting indoors.

I needed a nice spot with good varied food and some vegetarian options for my son and his girlfriend, so I chose this beautiful comfortable restaurant in Delray. Great choice! I loved the ambiance the first time I came and I'm glad to say that it's maintained its status after many years. The menu was smaller than I remembered, but the options were varied. Only my son came so we ditched the vegetarian options (that were several) and I opted for the chicken wings in a Thai sweet sauce, and he got a burger! I thought we should get a salad, but when the orders came I ordered some celery and carrots and that was just enough for us. Both orders were delicious. The burger was juicy, the fries fresh, crispy and delicious and it also had some fried onions that looked crunchy and good: the whole dish was very appealing. My chicken wings were more than I expected! Nicely covered in the sweet and tangy very tasty sauce: loved them! The position size was abundant, so that was great as well. This time we didn't get drinks as I had a long drive back to Broward and my son was just catching a quick bite between work meetings, but their cocktails here are also very good: next time, we will certainly be stopping by again. Much to Enjoy!

Burt & Max's offers a large area to sit and enjoy a meal or find refuge in their outdoor patio which offers several bar seating, which is where we sat. Met with the GM Steve 'Buddah' Mann who is a friendly guy who runs a tight ship and knows everyone in the nearby businesses. The wine list is extensive with an ultra modern glass display full of great wines as a focal point in the restaurant. We met with the chatty bartender Joe who discussed some of the deep discounted Happy Hour eats and a few of the cocktails. We decided to order the appetizer chicken wings and a craft hazy beer from South Beach Brewing. The wings were massive and were perfectly complemented by the fresh chunky blue cheese. On Fridays between 8p - 10p they provide live music. The bathroom was modern with a separate area for baby changing, which is uncommon in men's bathrooms although helpful.

Mediocre food and snobbish hosts. Usually on busy nights there are 3 or 4 of them around the host stand talking to each other. You will have to hope that they acknowledge you then you will have to greet them and hope that they return your greeting. It's the other way around :))) Maybe because they get mistreated by the nouveau riche that have moved to the area in recent years. Or maybe I should say people who think they are rich. read more

Food was excellent. My friend and I both chose the tomatoe bisque. It was outstanding. I had the burger with cheese added ,with lettuce, tomatoe and onions. My friend had the quiche which today had brisket and vegetables inside. She could barely finish. The server was Douglas. He was incredibly accommodating and friendly. This was our first visit to any restaurant in Palm Beach County since they opened up this past week. We had made a reservation which I highly suggest at this time. The tables are spaced according to guidelines and they have a sanitation administrator who cleans each table and chairs thoroughly after guests have left and places a sign that it has been sanitized The menus are now on paper and thrown away after each use. I suggested to our server,Ryan, that they only give one menu for 2 people to share to save on paper waste. I think Ryan had a lot to take care of. Our appetizer plates weren't removed from the table which is a pet peeve of my friend who I was dining with. He moved them himself to a bussing area. Not sure if that's a bus boy issue or what but we are all learning the new ways. The food was great as usual although the pepperonis were a little hidden if you compare it to the photo from last time. Steve came over to chat with us and he was great as we asked him questions and told him we loved the Sanitation Adminstrator who we found out is named JoJo. He let us take his picture. read more

I went for the first time to this restaurant. Took some friends and boy, what a disappointment. Drinks were horrible. We had the Watermelon Martinis and Sangria. Awful. Fruity martinis should be a bit sweet, refreshing and with a little kick. They weren't that. Like drinking pure alcohol. I would have ordered a dry martini if that is what I was looking for. Sangria was undrinkable. I don't know what that was. Apps were very average-calamari and wings. Comment was wings were a bit tough. Personally, I didn't care for the marinara sauce for the calamari. For the meal we had waffle w/ berries (good), pizza (very average), chicken salad - (very average) and I think was a chicken sandwich which they didn't really care for. The service was fine. Waitress was helpful. The look of the restaurant was nice. Just the food. Will never be back. The meal was $160+ for 4. read more

This has become a standard for me for business lunches, drinks and dinners. Everything I have had has been good. With room for improvement in terms of courtesy and professionalism, the service is above average. The host stand seems well-trained, friendly and efficient. I like their indoor/outdoor bar to meet a friend or small group for drinks. You cannot go wrong at Burt & Max's and it far and away the best bet in the Delray Marketplace. Pro tip: if you would rather self-park and cannot find a close space on the inside loop, go to the Lyons Road side parking lot and park in the southern-most end. There is a walk-through that will take you to the restaurant. read more

Hard to get a spot here but when we finally came for lunch we loved it. The farmhouse burger wss delicious and most importantly it was perfectly cooked. The French onion dumplings were also amazing. I can't believe that I never reviewed this place & I have been here at least a dozen times. Burt & Max's happens to be a favorite of mine too. They are consistent & I have had only positive experiences here & believe it or not, this is one place where I never sent anything back. Aside from taking reservations they get very busy with people just popping in for a quick bite before or after a movie. Give yourself extra time if your seeing a movie, especially if you don't have a reservation, because you will wait. As for parking, save yourself the time & aggravation & just valet. The indoor/outdoor bar is cool. The outside dining area is pet friendly & has a fire pit. I love pet friendly restaurants! I would describe Burt & Max's as a local upscale bar & grille that serves made from scratch bar & comfort food at moderate price points. They are good with kids & have crayons to go along with the kids menu that of course is a picture so they can color while they wait for their food. Healthy options such as grilled chicken breast and fresh fruit are on the kids menu, but I know the fried chicken fingers are always a hit. Kids meals come with soda, milk or 100% juice. This is a great date night spot too. I like sitting outside at night (if it's not hot) because the ambiance from the fire pit creates a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy the moment. And if your date goes well, your at the perfect location to go for a walk or take in a movie, grab an ice cream cone, whatever it takes to keep the date going strong. Upon entering the restaurant you'll immediately smell the wood burning pizza oven, notice the dark wood decor, low lighting & cozy ambiance. Check out the modern light fixtures, they are really cool. I love the chicken lettuce wraps, turkey club wrap, the hummus plate, but most times I get the 10 oz burger without the bun & I ask for extra pickles. I have also had the 6 oz burger off of the 11 for $11 lunch menu (Mon-Fri 11:30-3pm) and the smaller burger is just as good & it's the perfect size for me. Don't get me wrong, the 10 oz burger is my favorite but I can never finish it. If your like me & love a good burger, this is the place to have one. Best burger ever. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 4pm to 6:30pm. Great specials & discounted bar bites. Not crazy about the pizza, but I highly recommend the edamame, & short rib empanada. Last time they didnt have the empanada, so I'm not sure if it's still available. The cheeseburger sliders are excellent! I havnt tried their weekend brunch yet, but I have heard the build your own Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar is pretty great. Brunch hours are Sat & Sun from 11:30-3:00pm. I think it may start a little earlier on Sunday but I'm not sure, so call first. They have a Rapoport's Rewards Loyalty program & right now they have a Yelp check-in offer; $5 off $20 or more. I typically make a 5:00 PM reservation and arrive a few minutes early (around 4:55 PM), only to find a large crowd of guests waiting outside. This has happened multiple times. In Florida's summer heat, it's uncomfortable and frankly unnecessary to have dozens of customers--many of them elderly--standing outside in 90+ degree weather while waiting for the doors to open. During my most recent visit, people were visibly frustrated, hot, and asking why they couldn't simply wait inside the air-conditioned lobby. The issue seems to be a combination of policy and execution. The host staff often appear surprised when guests are annoyed, but the frustration is entirely predictable. If someone has a reservation and arrives a few minutes early, they should be allowed to wait comfortably inside rather than standing outside in the heat. I genuinely enjoy this restaurant and want to keep coming back, but this is an easily fixable customer experience issue. A simple change to allow guests to wait indoors before seating would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I hope you take this as a friendly reminder that we want to eat here, we just don't want to boil outside.

My business partner Sam recently returned to New York from Delray Beach Florida raving about a couple of dishes he had in a local restaurant called Burt and Max's. I made it a point to visit and I tried the Farmhouse Burger, Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles on Sam's say so. To my very pleasant surprise Burt and Max's was every bit as good as Sam promised. My server was a guy named Christian who could not be more accommodating. He was knowledgeable about the menu, went over the specials with enthusiasm, and really added to the warm and friendly atmosphere. My meal began with a basket of awesome corn bread and a chopped salad filled with very fresh veggies and a light but tasty dressing. Then I experienced southern fried chicken that tasted so authentic it reminded me of when I was much younger and ate in a place called Ray Nor's Cabin in Baldwin, New York. This fried chicken is the real deal. You will not believe how good the batter is...how tender and juicy the chicken is...and how intuitive it was to blend this awesome taste with waffles and maple syrup. Basically I died and went to heaven. It took me a while to switch gears and try the farmhouse burger. This is a huge, perfectly cooked burger on a large Challah Bun, topped with some type of wonderful cheddar cheese,bacon strips that are real and thick like the old days, a fried egg for good measure, and misc condiments that together created a symphony of tastes too good to be true. I tried the cole slaw as my side which was awesome. So next time you think you ask yourself where it's possible to pay a moderate price for truly excellent quality food in a warm and upscale environment , think of Burt and Max's in Delray Beach. I am going back with my New York golf buddies on March 14th ( my next golf getaway) We will be at least 11 guys on that Saturday night. I know my friends and I know food. Went here with friends for drinks and dinner. The ambiance was cool and lively. The drinks were good and not too pricey. The food was excellent (especially the chorizo fondue and chicken n' waffles). So why am I giving this review 2 stars? Because of the owner... This tall, lanky, awkward character strolled over to our table and basically hovered over us without saying much for, no lie, 5 minutes straight. We didn't know who he was at first (we figured he was a GM or someone important) and we were all floored at how uncomfortable his presence made each and every one of us. Our conversation was railroaded by his unwarranted presence. We later came to find out this lanky, hovering gargoyle was "Burt" of Burt & Max's. At one point during his silent meditation over our table, he open-mouthed coughed over my wife's plate. She was nauseated and did not wish to eat the rest of her meal after this uncouth man decided to season her food with his phlegm. All in all, we will NEVER return to this place or any other Burt restaurants (Henry's, Bogarts, Deck 42, to name a few) simply because of how this ONE MAN ruined our dining experience and didn't even seem to notice or care. When we told our waiter about our unpleasant experience with Burt, the server laughed and told us under his breath that, "he's a douchebag, but what can you do?" This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I were big fans of Prime 112 in Miami, and became friendly with Steve the General Manager. When we learned he was involved with Burt & Max's from the ground up and was leaving Prime 112, we were thrilled. This place would be so close to our home. Online reviews can sometimes be misleading, and not everyone can be pleased....but you should definitely try this place for yourself. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by a friendly hostess staff. Steve is an on-hands General Manager and he is constantly walking around meeting and greeting the customers and making sure they are attended to. Food is not good, it's great! We have been to Burt & Max's at least 10 times. The onion soup dumplings are awesome! The salads are all fresh and large portions. My boyfriend doesn't ever order Salmon out, but has cravings for Burt & Max's cedar plank salmon dish. I'm a southern girl so my favorite is Chicken & Waffles, sounds different but you have to try it, trust me, truly heaven. We have recommended dozens of people to go eat at Burt & Max's and everyone raves about it. We have tried almost every dish on the menu and nothing has disappointed us from the appetizers to the desserts, just scrumptious. Great layout, nice staff and great food....plus the prices are very reasonable. 5 Star establishment, I would give it 6 stars if I had the choice. read more

Visiting friends and decided on a whim to go to Burt & Maxs in Delray Marketplace. This place is crazy busy and without a reservation, we thought we'd never get in but decided to try. The girls at the front were very sweet and up front about a 20-30 min wait. I asked her name and she said it was May or My? It was about 20 min later and after we checked again, a female manager came out with some items to nibble on. Really good calamari to keep us from being hangry. Another 10 minute or so and the female manager called our name and took us to a table. She apologized for the wait for our table for 4. Very professional. More places should take note of the way to treat guests...reservations or not. Free food because of a long wait time...yes! The server, Bentetta I think...she was amazing from start to finish. She was so friendly. We felt like we were old friends and she had all the answers to all of our questions since we had never been here before. The food was amazing but it did take a little bit for it. Well worth the wait! We had a movie to get to so we were done pretty quick. No dessert this time but we'll be back. A lot of flash but I was looking for a an enjoyable lunch and they didn't deliver!. The building from the outside is very attractive and the décor inside is very pretty. But a pretty, well decorated restaurant does not ensure good food. I started my meal with the Wood-Fired Tomato Soup and the B&M House Salad. I ordered the Burt and Max's Farmhouse Burger with cheddar, bbq sauce, fried egg, bacon, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato on a challah bun. My burger was seriously overcooked and dry as a bone. They had to remake it. Soup was pretty good. Salad was pretty good. Service was not what it should have been So the tale of the tape is: The place is pricey and my overall experience is mixed. I was disappointed with my burger but the soup and salad were pretty good. I had dinner with friends on Friday night and we had a great time. We first checked in for our reservation then went to the bar. We were served very generous cocktails and wine by a very lovely bartender. I loved the fact that we were alerted that our table was ready by text message. Our table was a booth in the middle of the action across from the bar. We could se the kitchen in action and all the bar guests. Our server Eric was great. We ordered a few appetizers that he recommended. The onion soup dumplings were an amazing concept. We also had the tuna poke. The rest of our meal was great. We took Eric's recommendation once again and got the Mississippi Mud Cake it was so good I could have had a second. This place is an absolute disaster! We went there for dinner on a Thursday night and spent $70. The mushroom pizza we ordered had cheese that tasted spoiled. And don't even get me started on the Thai chicken salad my wife ordered - the chicken had no flavor at all! To make matters worse, the dressing had cilantro in it. What if we were allergic to cilantro? They should have mentioned that on the menu! And to top it all off, when we ordered French onion soup to go, they gave us seasonal soup instead. They didn't even have the courtesy to call and let us know they couldn't pack the French onion soup because it's served in a ceramic pot. It's their mistake, not ours! The staff should be more informed about what can and can't be offered to go. This whole experience was a complete disaster. We will never be returning here. read more

This is based on two separate visits. First time we didn't even order the food. The service was very slow, and while looking at the menu the prices seemed high. Then when we saw the amount of food that people were being served, we just stood up and left. Second time I thought I should give this place a fair shot. I went with my sister, and we both ordered salads. I had the seared tuna salad, which was an entree price for (barely) an appetizer sized portion. Same for my sisters chicken salad. In addition, my tuna was way over cooked and my sisters chicken was dry as a bone. We didn't even bother eating most of it. We won't be going back. I wanted to like this place, as it has a nice outdoor area, but no dice. Price doesn't even come close to justifying portion size and food quality. read more

Great place and great location. The staff was very friendly. The outdoor bar seating was perfect. I imagine the events (once they begin) at the band-shell, will be packed so this outdoor area will be the best seating location. The night was cool and if you so choose you could sit by the outdoor gas fire pit. We arrived for happy-hour 4:30 to 7 or 8 not certain, not knowing the new plaza we had been walking through had such a nice establishment. Though we did not eat dinner, we sampled several appetizers and each was wonderful. It was packed by the time we departed about 7:30. Can't give it 5 stars as I have only been there one time and did not have dinner. We will certainly return in the future. read more

As a follow up, a person called Steve contacted me to offer a gift card in lieu of my review. he attempted to justify the fly problem by claiming the location of the restaurant places it within close proximity to farms in the area. I made clear to Steve that having actually lived and worked on a farm with a communal dining room and kitchen to serve 300 people, we took certain precautions against flies by using modern pest control techniques. Our dining room and kitchen were virtually fly free. You simply have to care enough to do something about it. No excuses for apathy or neglect. read more

Amber P. Your comments regarding my review of Burton Max were out of place. Instead of saying I should not try the food at B&M you should thank me for another attempt. Your very critical of those who feel they've been wronged. If that the case go there or send a secret shopper or eater to try the specials before you draw comment You state that my review of food was vile, but being a part of the Yelp community you should except the good and the bad without comment. Came in after a long day on golf course to have late lunch / early dinner. Greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders I ever met, Melissa the brunette, one with the spray - on tan. Not only does she run circles around the other bartenders but she has a great smile and outgoing attitude to go with it. By observing the bar area my guess is that many of the patrons come to see her. She's a true asset to your establishment. She's also very classy and fun to be around. I'll come back here for sure, especially to her bar!!! I'd give her 10 stars if yelp had. read more

Guess I'll join the 5 star review club on Burt & Max's. The reason this places gets such great reviews is because the food is fresh and delicious!! I have been here a number of times and the quality and price are unbeatable. I suggest you start at the bar for Happy hour with Melissa the bartender! She is the best!!!. "The Cure" was absolutely delicious. Our waitress Ligia was remarkably cheerful and very knowledgeable. She made some excellent suggestions and made the experience perfect. Great job, everyone! Went here for a corporate outing and the food and service were great! I had the Half chicken which was great . They have a ton of different beers, wines and speciality drinks which is awesome. Their menu also offers a variety of food so there is something for everyone. We started off at the bar. Our bartender was Melissa and she was very knowledge and friendly. There's nothing better than walking into Burt and Max's to be greeted the friendliest people around. The manager, The amazing Steve Mann, is always helping everyone, whether you're a guest or employee! The waitstaff and runners are beyond incredible that you just can't help to be be happy when you're there. The food is tasty as well as the drinks! Great for small or large parties. I love our Sever Joey he's the bestest in town everyone should have the privilege of such amazing service and personable service!!!! I also want to give props to the Chef for his delicious steak and amazing crab cake that is pure meat and no fillers I loved no need for sauces or anything else the steak was juicy and crab cake all meat no fillers and crispy on the outside an absolute MUST!!!! I do not usually do this but I had a beyond great experience last time I visited. The food was good, but the hospitality was great. My server was John had a smile on him that did not leave him the whole time we were here. I cannot say enough about his service. I would go in detail but I would just bore all you. I do recommend this place for the atmosphere and the service. Its definitely worth going there and if you do ask for John he is great! read more

Our first trip to Burt & Max's was not the greatest. There was a miscommunication with being seated and we ended up leaving. After a short time the manager Nick called me personally and apologized for the mistake and offered us a complimentary meal that night or at our convenience. We cashed in tonight on that complimentary meal and had a wonderful experience. Our food was great and so was the service!! We will be returning! read more

This place is always buzzing.. we love coming here for the atmosphere. It's always pretty busy and noisy, and they have a cute little fireplace in the front. The service was great. I always get the cauliflower and vodka sauce which is outstanding... got the new gyro pita, which was not very good, the pita was dried out and so was the steak... all other food I usually get is really good. The food and atmosphere was great. The burger was excellent. Our server Jacklyn was attentive and had a wonder attitude. She went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. The quiche was tasty and served hot; the salad was nothing extraordinary.
