The bartenders were so busy it was very difficult to have a chat with them, but hey, they still had great prices for Happy Hour. I decided to give this establishment another try today while celebrating a friend's birthday. Unfortunately, what I observed behind the bar was concerning from both a service and sanitation standpoint. The drinks themselves were poorly made, and the bartender, Ames WILL appeared to struggle to hear and understand customers' orders. The music was extremely loud, which may have contributed to the communication issues, but it resulted in repeated confusion while ordering. Those glass doors should be kept closed when having outdoor music. That way people inside can enjoy a nice meal. More troubling were the hygiene practices I observed. At one point, the bartender repeatedly removed his hat, ran his fingers through his hair, replaced the hat, and then immediately proceeded to prepare drinks without washing his hands. I then watched him place his hands on a cup directly into the ice used for drinks after touching his hair, which raises serious sanitation concerns. Additionally, I observed bartenders handling used, dirty glassware and then touching clean glasses, ice, and drink preparation areas without washing their hands in between. This type of cross-contamination is a basic food safety issue and could potentially expose patrons to unnecessary health risks. You should consider a bar back just to pick up the dirty dishes and glasses. This way the bartenders can focus on hygiene. Given the importance of proper sanitation in food and beverage service, I hope management addresses these practices promptly and ensures staff follow appropriate hygiene and food safety standards behind the bar. Came here on a Monday around 5pm with a big group and they had arranged high top tables for us outside by the bar. They have happy hour specials until 6:30 so we took advantage of bar food and wine/cocktails at the discounted $$. Also ordered some mains. There was a live DJ and dancing which added to a fun vibe of an evening and everyone around was in great spirits. HUGE indoor area and open space so this restaurant can really accommodate a large crowd. For apps the calami was excellent. Large portion, crispy and good mix of tentacles and rings. The steamed muses were served in the pot they steamed in and the white sauce was delicious. Also had the mozzarella wedges. Thick crispy outside and amazing cheese pull. Loved them all! Next they brought out these little rolls with an herbed butter. I couldn't stop eating them with the butter. For mains the seafood pasta was packed pull of seafood. No skimping there. We did request it spicy and boy did it have a kick We also had the margherita pizza and Summer salad with the salmon. All delicious. Staff was on their game and friendly. Bathrooms spacious and clean. The only reason I took one off is that we and many others outside were freezing and requested the heat lamps on but they were out of gas. We went here with a group and while we like it because they have happy hour from 4-6:30 pm and that's always fun and they can have a long table for all of us inside- the service was not that great. It was difficult to get the waitress to pay attention to us and to get a bill. They weren't that busy which was good for us. We ordered chicken Francese and pasta with garlic and oil. The chicken was good - we didn't have them split it because they would have charged us extra for that (Which to me is ridiculous). They also allow us to bring a birthday cake to the restaurant which is a plus . There is a lot of parking here which is also a plus. I haven't been in awhile and I remember liking it the last few times I was here. We started with Happy Hour at the bar and it was Wednesday so half off bottles and they had a charcuterie board deal. Normally it's $29 for 2 people but half off on Wednesday so it was a great deal and a nice presentation. We then moved to a booth and had fabulous service from Smyrna. She was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Chicken Alessandro with Zucchini noodles. The dish was fabulous and the best zucchini noodles I've ever had! The sauce was light and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My friends loved their Chicken Piccata and a Margherita pizza. As there were leftovers, my friends asked for extra piccata sauce for the reheat and somehow between Smyrna and the manager(who came out and talked to us) the kitchen made it happen. Two warm containers of sauce were made on the spot. Now that is amazing service! I'll definitely be back soon. read more

I started to go to Terra about 3 years ago. Located in The Delray Market Place shopping center at 14851 Lyons Rd, Delray Beach, FL 33446. My wife and I go every Monday night for dinner and dancing as they have a DJ every Monday night and the happy hour is very good. The food is ok, but it's really about the ambiance and wonderful people that work there. Cindy is the Monday night bartender. She is amazing! Friendly, professional and fun! The servers are very nice and very accommodating. The DJ on Monday nights, Nicky is a wonderful singer, warm and friendly. Plays great music, anywhere from Motown, to pop, Michael Jackson, and a few oldies scattered in! Not sure why, but Nicky was there every Monday night and was one of the biggest reasons that we would go. Lately he seems to work every other Monday. Disappointing, but I Hope he is well. The bottom line is, if you are looking for a nice, cozy place to enjoy some entertainment and have a decent meal, I would give Terra a try! read more

The meatballs were boring, not any better than trader Joe's. Hot pepper flakes had no kick. The veal francese was mushy, I would not recommend this. We went with a couple friends for a double date night. There was a reservation made and we still had to wait a while for a table. It was busy on a Saturday night and there was a high top table outside we were able to sit under the tent. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and it was a beautiful night. We split the bruschetta and the meatballs for the appetizers. I enjoyed the meatballs over the bruschetta. I thought the bruschetta could have used more spices since it lacked in flavor. The chicken marsala was great as well. I brought half of it back home for leftovers. The banana pudding was a sweet treat to end the night on. The service was good and our waitress made sure we were happy with everything throughout the meal. It may have not been in Italy itself, but it felt like it at times with the atmosphere. I wouldn't mind returning again to try out other menu items. I'll never be able to get enough Italian food. read more

It was supposed to have goat cheese, but was served with Blue cheese instead. We called over the waitress who said both cheeses are very similar (really). We then had what was supposed to be a Margherita pizza. It was not even close to what it was supposed to be. The cheese was grated cheese and not fresh mozzarella. The basil was shredded and infused in some oil. The crust was tasteless as was the sauce. They are open on weekends for lunch so we stopped by late on a Sunday afternoon. We drove around the complex trying to find them as there wasn't a suite number indicated on yelp (or even google). I've since added it in to their listing. We have been to this area before but never noticed this restaurant. Parking was at a premium. There are so many shops and restaurants in this complex, but we found a spot behind the restaurant and came through a covered walkway. They are across from Hoffman's chocolates -- if that helps you find them. We sat in the bar area, but not at the bar itself. It was a high-top table. We had pretty good service. At first it was quiet in the restaurant and then about 6 more booths filled up plus the entire bar. They offer complimentary soft bread sticks to start. They come with butter and a dipping oil that has sundried tomatoes in it. As we were hungry, we happily munched away. They brought a dish of freshly grated parmesan to the table for our use. I ordered their small chopped Italian salad -- it comes in two sizes. This was wonderful. It had romaine, radicchio, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, salami, fresh mozzarella, etc. I got it without the red onion. The salad was tossed in a light vinaigrette dressing. I also ordered their housemade meatball appetizer. This was much larger than anticipated. Three very large meatballs topped with tomato sauce and a scoop of creamy ricotta cheese. This, too, was very good. My husband got their caprese capellini. It was a large dish of angel hair pasta with chipped fresh tomatoes, roasted garlic (lots), basil, and fresh mozzarella. He wound up taking half home for a later dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by our meal and experience. And yes, we would return. read more

We found a new place for a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch. They have plenty of comfortable outside seating and a large inside dining room with bar. We sat at some easy access high top and were immediately given our menus to peruse. Lots of appetizers and flatbreads as well as pasta dishes. I selected the Capellini Caprese. After a short wait as we enjoyed our comp bread sticks, our meals were delivered. My pasta had plenty of sauteed tomatoes and garlic cloves. The service was terrible yesterday. All focus was on the crowd outside and the loud music. We could not hear each other inside the restaurant to have a conversation. We ordered salad and pizza for lunch. They both came out together. I asked for grated cheese and got nothing. The server never came back and we had to ask another server to find her. The waiter quickly (did he notice the hungry looks on our faces?) brought us warm breadsticks accompanied by olive oil and shredded parmesan cheese. The breadsticks were a nice change from the garlic-y rolls served in many Italian restaurants. Four of us enjoyed nice portions of chicken parmesan with sides of pasta in a tasty tomato sauce. The pasta portions were large as well. However, we were disappointed because we requested that the pasta be well drained so that the sauce would not become watery, but it was not drained at all. This was particularly irritating because the waiter had assured us that it would be properly handled. Despite this issue, the waiter was very pleasant and attentive. He brought us a bag of ice in which to put our leftovers because we were not going home right away. The restaurant has a clean, welcoming look and they also have plenty of covered outdoor seating. Hard to get to go dish and check. Left us the machine to pay ourselves and disappeared again. Since this large restaurant was empty there was no excuse for such poor service.
