My mom and I were visiting my grandmother and this was the third restaurant we went to on our visit. After doing some shopping we came here for an early dinner. We got 2 appetizers and 2 meals. The appetizers we got were the French onion soup dumplings and on the specials was an eggplant caprese. Both of these were very good and delicious. For our mains we got a chicken and waffles and the beef Mongolian. The chicken and waffles were fine, my grandmother wanted this so I shared it with her, and my mom had the beef. I'd say I enjoyed both but liked my mom's beef dish better. No dessert this time. Service was fine here. Not busy either but we came early so it may have gotten busier later on. The bad --1) The margarita pizza was under cooked and lacked any real taste. 2) the chicken in the chicken wrap had unfriendly taste. I was so excited to finally visit Burt & Max last Friday for dinner. We had calamari and onion soup dumplings. Calamari was good; the liquid leaked out of the dumplings leaving them dry and flavorless. I ordered a salmon burger...it was dry. Service was good. We were in the area and wanted a quick bite for dinner. My wife suggested Burt & Max's. We sat outside under the heater because it was cold and packed inside. My wife ordered the salmon and shrimp burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered the B&M Philly with regular fries. The food was just okay, for example my Philly was salty. One thing that I find funny is that they have, French onion dumplings, French onion burger on the menu but no French onion soup!! Go figure! As you can see on the photo, my wife's sweet potato fries were burnt, we mentioned it to our server and a fresh basket was brought to her, One thing I don't understand, how come the fries were served to our table like that? I had a refreshing drink to start, but when the chicken wings arrived, they were totally tasteless and the chicken itself didn't taste right. I only had a few bites before deciding to stop because I was worried it might mess up my stomach. Unfortunately, as soon as I got home, I felt sick. The salad portion was very small with barely any parmesan cheese. The dressing was watered down and flavorless. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was heated up in the microwave. They charged $25 for this. My friend's dish was no better. She also wasn't happy with her meal. Couldn't find parking so I had to Valet $8.00 + tip. NEVER AGAIN! I ordered the chicken & waffles which it was really good but for the price all you get is two chicken tenders and one waffle cut up into 4 pieces. That's a complete rip off fir the price. The same with the cornbread appetizer, I have no idea what that was. Please feel free to try this spot out and enjoy yourself, but I'm only giving it two stars for the food. We came here for brunch on a Sunday and were seated outside (it was 90 degrees lol). We had an umbrella but it didn't cover all of us so after a few minutes we needed to move. We moved to the area under the patio (still outside but at least we weren't out in the sun). There were so many gnats, it was obnoxious. The food came out and was overall good. The only thing was ALL salads at the table had old lettuce. I would've given the salad a 1 star- it tasted like something I could make at home. I got the mushroom pizza and it was really good. Everyone else loved their avocado toast, cheese pizza, and eggs and bacon. The truffle fries weren't bad either but weren't crunchy (personal preference). I would recommend this spot but took off a star for service (being seated outside in the sun and then under the patio and its gnats) and one star for old lettuce. read more

We (my brother and I) went to attend an bourbon and cigar event that was to start at 6:00 pm We arrive at 5:30 pm and sat inside at the bar as it was very hot, we ordered a spinach dip and we asked to have a burger cut in half. We also ordered two old fashioned from Kaley & Kala the two bar tenders, they were both very nice. We've been there twice now, so I feel confident giving Burt and Max's five stars! The menu was diverse and innovative enough to be interesting, yet had some of the typical bar food you might want or expect. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance was nothing special- pretty generic, actually- but it was comfortable for sure. We were seated promptly, the parking was convenient, the place was kid friendly, the prices were reasonable, the service was fast. The place was packed and the kitchen was humming. Our waitress arrived with a smile and immediately got our drinks order.
