Pretty eye pleasing resturant really messy menu though. You have southern food, italian, and asian all in one menu. Been here 3 times and have been disappointed every time. Got chicken and waffles 4 years ago and it was raw so there's that, didn't complain just ate around the breading since it was crispy. Got fried rice here a year ago, super mediocre and very american but what can you expect. Just got a pork sandwich here, coleslaw made the whole bottom of the bread sog up also really chewy pork. Never wanted to give this place a bad review since it looks like they put effort to their food but it's incredibly mediocre. I'd rather go to a cheap place like chilis if i wanted to try a resturant that attempts different foods mediocrely. read more

I just moved to Florida and I've been to Burt and Max more than any other place. I brought my friends here and one of them didn't like her skirt steak, she said it was too hard. The waitress saw that she didn't eat much and she apologized. Just a few minutes later the manager came over and she said to my friend she was very sorry she didn't enjoy her meal and she wasn't going to charge her for it. I thought that was great and I'm coming again tomorrow for brunch. I also love happy hour food. I also like the bartenders - they are all friendly. read more

Every time we try to get a table at this restaurant we are told that for the outdoor tables there is a wait in spite of the fact that there are many free tables outside. When we pointed out to the hostess the free tables she just smiled at us. read more

Ate here as a group of 7 for brunch over the weekend and had a delicious meal! First of all - the $10 bloody mary build your own bar is a MUST. They have about 20 different toppings and things to make your bloody mary just how you like it. Every brunch place needs to do one of these! I ordered the avocado toast which had a kick to it because of the salsa and sauce they used - I thought it was very filling and delicious. Our server was patient with our large group and attentive while we dined. I haven't been for dinner yet but is a great place for brunch - especially when it's nice weather to side outside :) read more

My first time trying this restaurant, I went for the Happy Hour, to try the drinks and Appetizers. Wow, I had the Cucumber Martini , it was made well. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday back in March. We had just moved to the area so we were very excited to try this place and the Marketplace itself. We did make reservations and were seated right on time. The inside decor was absolutely beautiful and I loved the set up they had. We luckily got a booth and it was very comfortable. We ordered our drinks and appetizer and we were very impressed with both. Their menus are a little on the shorter side which was surprising, and somehow a lunch menu was left on the table so I was looking at the wrong one for the first 10 minutes and it wasn't even until the waiter asked for details of my entree that it was caught. I was very disappointed because I really wanted one of the lunch dishes but no biggie and our waiter was so polite and accommodating! After we got our food and second round of drinks, all the sudden I felt sick to my stomach so I had to excuse myself. I think it was my second drink that didn't agree with me and we had to leave immediately. When I did finally eat my dinner I was very impressed with the salmon! My boyfriend was also very impressed with his dish. We'd like to give this another chance, maybe on a weekend during the day. read more

Arielle, the waitress who served my husband and I tonight, was a wonderful surprise to a difficult day. The food was ok but, her delightful manner and demeanor made it a great evening. These times are challenging for restaurants so I hope B&M managers and owners are reading this and acknowledge her. First off, ambiance and service were excellent...I ordered a Mexican Mule which was not on the menu but the bartender attempted and came very close...the wasabi tuna app was fine...but the Margherita pizza was under done, not thin enough, doughy, the sauce was too sweet and the was dumped on it and needed to be chopped up and not just big clumps...my wife's chopped salad was fine but none the less under-whelming...all-in-all next time in the MArketplace I try someplace else. read more

We went to Burt & Max's (our first time) for Father's Day. The service and food was great. We'll definitely plan on visiting again.

As a positive, the set up of this restaurant was great and we had a nice large indoor table for 10 In the back of the restaurant, away from other tables, the dining experience felt very covid friendly. However, the food was overall disappointing. Ordered butternut squash soup which was 100 percent inedible ( confirmed by multiple people at our table who dared to try it ). It was lumpy and had the consistency of mashed potatoes- not soup. I asked the waiter if it was typically like this / supposed to be like this and he said " yes, that's what it looks like always". So....the 9$ bowl was left uneaten minus a few bites from those brave souls who were curious momentarily if I was exaggerating how bad the soup was and the waiter had the nerve at the end of our meal to ask me if I wanted " a box" to bring it home. Um ok..no thanks. I then had the lettuce wraps as my entree which were ok at best with the consistency of the chicken filling pretty unappetizing. Service was slow. My teenagers did enjoy their fried chicken and waffles and my little one liked her cheese pizza. read more

Really enjoyed this place. The mushroom pizza was very good. They have these French onion dumplings which is basically French onion soup wrapped in a dumpling and it's literally Christmas morning at 5 years old. The tuna pad Thai was okay. The brussel sprouts were the best covered with goat cheese. Would recommend ! read more

I had placed a lunch order for delivery, just under $300, I'm a sales rep and do this on a daily basis along w dealing w restaurants that don't care... when the restaurant asked me to review my encounter, I did. I had initially attempted to complain that an item was left off when I was at my lunch meeting but was not able to find someone to complain to online as they use Door Dash. So when Amber Politt at the restaurant reached back out to me to let me know they sent all food items... and that I was incorrect, she took customer service to a new low, thanks Amber! The food was hit or miss, but I most likely will not return. I went with my family in town visiting and the restaurant was packed. I thought this was a good sign. However, we were there over 2 hours and the party next to us ordered and ate their food before we got ours. In addition, my aunt and I ordered the Farmer's turkey burger (my aunt, got the simple turkey burger) and we both felt it was way oversalted. In addition, our fries were cold. Not sure why, since we waited so long for the food. I think it could have been ready and sitting on the counter before our waitress picked it up. I tried to eat the sandwich but we both ended up having to send it back. It looked so good, gigantic, lots of bacon, egg and melted cheese, but the flavor was just salt galore. They remade our food, and it was a little better, but still not great. The sweet potato fries were sort of tempura battered. They were good. We also ordered the quinoa lettuce wraps and it was good, but the sandwiches were a real bummer and with the amount of time it took and the second time not being that much better, I am not pining to return. In addition, the manager came over and did apologize but was very speedy, without introducing herself and was very quick in letting us know that they are re-making it. It wasn't a terrible interaction, but it was our first time there and I just didn't feel that excited about it... I looked at other dishes people were eating and a lot of them looked good, but I have a feeling that they are extremely heavy handed with their salt content at least with a lot of dishes. The menu has a feeling of bar food, but with having a slightly healthier twist or at least had the feel of like they used quality food products and healthier options, but the salt killed that vibe for me. read more
