Super bad attitude. We have been to this location many times and have had stellar service. NOT TODAY. First, we sat at the drive up for several minutes before anyone came out of the building. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I have repeatedly received at Bush's Chicken. Over the course of several visits, I have encountered the same unacceptable behavior from managers Kelsey and Crystal. Their conduct has consistently been deplorable. On multiple occasions, they have been rude, dismissive, and unprofessional while interacting with customers and staff. Most concerning, there have been instances where one of the managers walked away in the middle of assisting customers, leaving situations unresolved and creating unnecessary frustration. Talking down to fellow coworkers, causing a negative atmosphere. This pattern of behavior demonstrates a lack of accountability and basic customer service standards. I cannot in good conscience support a company that allows this type of management. As a result of these repeated negative experiences, I have decided that I will not be returning to this location. I believe it is important for this issue to be addressed, as it reflects poorly on the business and impacts customer trust. I love it here. The food is consistent and pretty fast, especially if you're dining in. They always have clean booths available. The people are also very nice. Mario always checks in with me and Hazel is always polite when taking my order. Both are very sweet when brining me my food and are very accommodating. Even when they're super busy they're so kind. The manager Kelsey is also nice. She's so kind when greeting me and is very welcoming. I wish there was a way to tip them through the card reader, but the machine doesn't let me. I get chicken with corn nuggets and sweet tea. The corn nuggets are always super fresh and the rolls are nice. Overall, the place is chill, the people are nice, and the food is good. The worst bush's chicken I've ever been to, just got home from pickup a to-go order and my 6 piece was missing a piece, fries half full. 1 piece of chicken was so dry it was inedible. Hmmm. Let me start by saying Bush's used to be my favorite place to pick up some chicken. They had the perfect combo of crunchy skin and juicy meat. We always order just thighs, fried okra and apple pies. We stopped by yesterday (1/13/21) to pick up dinner. Our first disappointment came in finding out they no longer have apple pies. Apparently they no longer have any dessert offerings. Huh? Ok, disappointed but we'll live. So we order 6 thighs and family size okra. Off we go to head home. So...2 of the pieces were not thighs. They were like back pieces, with what looked like ribs attached. What? There was also a piece that was NOT done. See pic. That's way too much pink/red for chicken. So, not only did we get ripped off of 2 thighs, one of the pieces of chicken ended up in the trash. I'm sad. This was my favorite chicken place. Now I can't trust them. read more

This is the most ungenerous restaurant I've ever been to. They don't even have the prices on the menu. I ordered a 4 tender combo and they gave me 3 tiny, scrawny tenders for $10.49 at first I thought it was a joke so I went inside and asked for the manager. The managers are 2 teen girls who have no clue how to run a business. One of the girls fixed my issue, after showing her my tender box. During lunch at Torchy's, I engaged our pastor in a conversation which eventually turned into a discussion about what he thought were good chicken places. He named Chicken Express, Popeye's, Gil's Chicken, Golden Chick, Zaxby's, Raising Canes, and his son's supposed favorite, Bush's Chicken. This being a Tuesday, my wife and I, after a doctor's visit and after packing up some stuff for storage in preparation for a move, decided to try out Bush's Chicken, influenced no doubt by their Tender Tuesday deal...which ended up just for a family tenders meal. Once we stepped in the premises, it became apparent to me that we've eaten at a Bush's before, the one in Kerrville. I recall I wasn't impressed then...and this latest experience further reinforced that. My wife and I both ordered the 3-piece tenders with rolls, she had mashed potatoes and I had their fries. The tenders weren't hot, like they've been sitting under "not so" heat lamps and neither were the rolls. The fries were soggy and not fresh either. The tenders were served with gravy as the "dipping sauce" and I wasn't a fan. All in all, a regrettable experience. I drive for Uber Eats and on each delivery the staff is always so friendly and the woman in charge there certainly knows how to keep things moving quick and efficiently. Whenever I go for a meal myself, I always get the mashed potatoes and a bunch of tenders - and all I gotta say is it's hard not to blow my entire paycheck on just going back for more. Service here is horrendous. Car hops didn't know their own menu. Was told they don't have the new bush baby sandwich, didn't know it was happy hour. I called when my car hop was inside and the location and they said they had the sandwich. Then carhop stopped taking my order and asked me to move up then went to car behind me. Ridiculous! I have never been to a Bush's like this. Waited in drive through 10min or more, with 4 other cars, not even an acknowledgment! Had to come inside and order. I was told they were understaffed, but as I sat I drive through I could see the counterperson sitting in the office between taking orders at the register. They used to serve great fired chicken livers. Went in Saturday to pick up an order and they were room tempture and had an odd flavor. They had obiviously been sitting around too long. I watched the server fill the order and it was obivious she was having trouble finding 8 livers. I ended up with about 4 livers and a collection of fragments that might have amounted to 2 more. When you need to, just fry more, don't short an order or give the coustomer food that is of poor quality. While I was obiviously not pleased with the server, this is a managment problem not a server problem. Servers need to be trained properly on what is an acceptable order and when to just get more cooked. The server did give me sweetened tea when I orderd unsweetened tea and that was clearly on her. As it's close to my Hotel, i'm running late and i've never before tried, Bush's Chicken it was. First confusion was the ordering, 2-3 lane, order, Move forward?, wait, pay, move forward? Ordered the tender meal with a side of mac and cheese. Opened the box and noticed that ordered, a bun and a container that seemed to be mashed potatoes/gravy? Dunked the bun (which I thought was ok) deep into this container expecting some resistance when I hit the potatoes. No potatoes. About a 8 ounce container of bland gravy. The mac and cheese. Aside from the fluorescent orange ish color, if their intention was to be adding powdered Kraft mac n' cheese powder, it was absolutely forgotten. The chicken tenders? It's fried chicken. Awful service. This was the worst fast food experience I've had in a while. Their "3-lane drive through" is terrible and the staff here is too incompetent to determine who came first and who has been waiting for 20 minutes. I waited at the front of the line for about 15-20 minutes before even being acknowledged. Meanwhile three cars behind me had already ordered, paid, received their food, and driven off. Three cars... with three separate orders... I was still waiting. I just figured that I would stay and wait it out, because my wife and I really wanted fried chicken, and I felt like it would've taken about the same amount of time to drive somewhere else and order. After waiting another 10-15 minutes for my food order, I felt that I had to make a scene in order to be acknowledged and I ended up getting out of my car and speaking with every other car in the drive-through. Needless to say, we were all very disappointed in our experience and when all of the employees and manager came out they all just stared at me and had nothing to say- just gawking at me, wide-eyed and dumbfounded. One of the drivers told me that her daughter worked there for two days and quit, stating that it was the most awful experience and the employees and managers just goof around. Their chicken is great, the fries however are phenomenal. I love a good classic crinkle cut French fry. However service is so-so, you get the vibe that no one really wants to be there. It makes me giggle that you can't trade your gravy for bbq sauce, but you must pay extra. Depending on what time of day you visit you will have different experiences and food portions.
