Im giving a bad review because of a interaction with the staff. The playground it self is fine and the kids love it but anyway we show up with some fast food and we are promptly told as we sit down to eat inside that we arnt allowed to bring outside food and drinks inside. That would be fine except we look around literally everyone else has food and drinks from home. So I tell the worker that it's it not just us and she said that if it's brought from home then it's ok... I said what difference does it make if it's fast food or something you made at home.?? Food is food. She then said that it's the logos of fast food that they don't want... ok? I then offer to put all the food on napkins and throw away the bags to solve that problem and the she says it has to be in a container?! Are we just making up rules as we go?? A kid had an accident on floor and the staff came over at the end of the party to demand an extra $52 for the kids accident when the host already spend hundreds for the party. Its a kids indoor playground and kids will have accidents. Outrageous charge. Contacted the owner of the business and never heard back. Will never go back. read more

I am so happy to have found this place! I have taken my daughter a few times now and every time we go there is something new. The staff are always updating the rooms based on the season and upcoming holidays. Last time we were there the reading room was full of Halloween-themed books for the kids to read. There are so many enriching activities for the kids to engage in, from a music room, to a vet's office, to a home environment, art room, building room and there's more than that! I also truly appreciate that the employees are constantly going through the rooms and reorganizing the toys and activities and keeping everything clean and sanitized. We were in town visiting and I decided to take my LO here during a weekday to kill some time. The place is adorable and so fun!!! Plus it's so reasonable! Crawlers and walkers can have a good time although walkers definitely can get much more out of it. Your LO's imagination can run wild here with all the different themed rooms for them to play in! I thought the race car and flight school room were especially neat. I've never seen anything like it! Parents can grab a fun/tasty drink too. The lady at the front was quick and efficient when getting us checked in with our drinks and paying. Looked like they had a lot of snack options as well and the tables to sit at are a nice touch especially if you have more than one person looking after your child. The set ups were adorable with the different themed rooms. I understand why others were frustrated with lack of parents around their own children but that's going to happen anywhere you take them. Is $10 reasonable? YES! As parents, we try and pick up as much as we can after our kids play but they are also bouncing around from room to room so fast you want to follow them, if you choose! read more

It's a okay place, is it worth $10?....No. My kid had fun but the toys were not in the best condition. The stuff animals were all gross, it felt really dirty. For $10 a kid, they should be replacing the toys more often. I also think there should be more encouragement of supervision for the kids, majority of the parents were just sitting at the tables chatting. One kid snatched a toy out of my toddlers hands and I had to deal with the situation of telling the kid to please ask before taking. Maybe there should be a age limit separating the rooms. Overall for $10 I wouldn't come back here again. Honestly, it's just like my kid is playing at home. The toys are basic and nothing new. This place is amazing!! I have been to four play centers in the area and busy kids is definitely the best. When you sign up for their monthly membership you get all kinds of bonuses like being able to attend workshops and receiving one free gift a month as well as bringing a guest and their child with you for free. What I really love though is the excellent customer service!! I've been to play centers where people have attitudes and are not friendly and everyone who works at Busy Kids is extremely kind and helpful especially Amina and Skyler! I lost a very important item at Busy Kids and Skyler worked hard to find it for me. Amina went out of her way by stepping me through the membership and she answered all of my questions. Colette is super sweet and does amazing teaching the classes! I live in Antelope and drive all the way to Folsom because of the amazing customer service, the cleanliness of the play center, the variety of rooms and toys, the yummy coffee and tea and the amazing hours they have. I want to start off by saying that I love the concept of this place with implementing a cafe and a kid zone all in one. Unfortunately the idea is way better than what I've seen executed. It's a glorified daycare but nobody to watch your kids. The place encourages you to sit on the perimeter while your kids play. Ok cool - lets have little kids unsupervised with toys and let them play and eventually get into fights. I supervised my kids when we went and saw other kids push, fight, kick, and cry while the moms sat at drank their coffee and ignored what was happening. I honestly didn't enjoy my time since mom's would constantly ask me if it was THEIR kid the one who was making a scene and would describe what the kid was wearing etc. There were two other moms engaging with their kids in the area along with me and we kept giving each other looks of insanity while the chaos ensued. Either have workers designated in each corner of the place to supervise the moving of toys and chaos or make it a point to encourage moms of little kids to engage and WATCH them. Pricing was a little weird and it was unclear if adults should also remove their shoes if they were to play too. Wow!!! What a discovery!!! When it comes to imaginative play, Buzy Kidz definitely offers that. I was so impress with how neat they keep the place even during play times. For me, BusyKidz serves a particular and unique purpose: a place for people who must work on their laptop to bring their toddlers. Don't get me wrong, this place has a ton of great activities to keep your youngster occupied for hours, not to mention great coffee and friendly staff. But for those who work from home and may need to occasionally watch their child while they need to work, this place is a lifesaver. When I first heard about BusyKidz I had questions. Can I truly get any work done? Is this place interesting enough to keep my little boy's interest long enough for me to let him explore on his own? The answer to both was yes. I ordered a coffee, sat at a front table and pounded out emails while my sone explored little themed rooms and made some new friends, all within eyesight. He played for hours and I worked for hours and we were both happy. I don't necessarily agree with some previous reviewers that the place is dirty. The gal working there was constantly picking things up, wiping things down. It seemed about as clean as a place could be that is constantly occupied by little germ carriers. I did have a problem with the wifi, which was pretty weak and worse so whenever two or more people were logged on. A stronger service will have me coming back more often. read more

I had never been here before so I called ahead to get info. Explained I have a newborn (less than a month old) and was told there would be no charge for her as I would expect. We get there & my husband & toddler go in first (I had to change newborn diaper in car so I went in about 10 mins later). My husband pays $12 for my toddler & my husband is included in that price. I then go in & literally just want to sit & enjoy a snack/drink in AC. I expect to pay $5 for myself which is silly to even do as I literally would then be paying more for my snack but whatever we went out as a family & I would have enjoyed some quiet time with my sleeping newborn & had a drink. Well basically they try to charge me $10 for me and my 3 week old to SIT IN THE COFFEE SHOP. I explain I called & was told my baby would be no charge. The staff looks puzzled & not accommodating what so ever. I push a little bit kindly but then realize I don't even want to give them my $5 to sit there so I left & waited in the car for my husband & toddler. It's a shame because it looked cute & we would be back but not that with that ridiculousness. Giving 2 stars because my 2 year old loved it but customer service is a 0. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday for a two year old. Great place for children 4 and under. Love the numerous of rooms for the kids to play in. Cute little themes such as the grocery store, diner, doctor's office and construction zone! My little toddler loved this place and he really enjoyed himself! (Knocked out immediately in his car seat on the way home!) Only issue I have is the construction zone room. They have a foam pit in there along with a metal crane that looks like a bike. A kid can go in and scoop the foam on the crane bike, but my little one almost got hit in the head by another kid who was occupying the bike. Just a warning for parents...I think they should remove it for the safety of the little ones. All in all, this is a great place to host a birthday party for a toddler! read more

We love this place and have spent countless mornings/afternoons here. There are lots of things for the kids to do in the multi-themed rooms. Today however, I noticed that it was filthy. I know it's hard to keep a place clean when there are a lot of kids running around but I'm talking about crumbs and smashed fruit on the floor everywhere, leftover garbage left on tables, and poopy diapers in the trash cans in the main area that smelled up the entire place. The bathroom was really bad too with pee all over the floors and walls. I let one of the employees know but she was a little dismissive. I'm hoping it was just a bad day. read more

I'm not entirely sure how I could survive without this place and the team that runs it (completely serious). For Bird's whole life she's had to sit and wait for her sisters classes to be done. My husband found Busy Kidz and suggested we get a membership so Bird had somewhere to wait twice a week. Never did I think I would be so grateful to be at a kids play area twice a week. Every single person that works there is a pure pleasure. The events they hold are adorable and not over the top. The place is great in theory, but after visiting I am extremely disappointed and won't go back. First off, the place is filthy. You can see the dirt and grime sitting on all the toys. It doesn't appear that they are cleaned very often, if at all. With a children's play place, a clean facility is my number one priority. We visited on a Friday and my child was sick by Sunday. Could be a coincidence but the hygiene in this place was seriously lacking. On top of being dirty, most of the toys are in terrible shape. Especially the stuffed animals in the vet area. The themed rooms are fun and have potential, but could be executed SO much better. When I am paying to visit, I expect a clean and well maintained facility and you can tell they just don't invest in this place. Another issue is, that parents use this place as a time for them to relax and sip coffee/chat with friends while their children run wild. I have a 16 month old and he was being hit and pushed by unsupervised 3 and 4 year olds. Behavior of other children was a huge issue. The cafe had great beverages. However, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and after is was microwaved I watched the cafe worker stick her entire bare hand on the top of the sand which to check the temperature. She then brought it behind the counter and continued to mess with it more with her hands before giving it to me. I found this to be really unhygienic and unappetizing. I REALLY wanted to love this place and unfortunately the only thing I enjoyed was my beverage. **** In response to the staff comment below. I see that you comment on every negative review and try to disagree with it instead of just improving what people are complaining about. You guys seem to be in denial of the issues. Both my friend and I who went agreed that the place was filthy and toys are not kept up well. I obviously did not waste my time coming on yelp to lie about my breakfast sandwich being handled, but I appreciate that you apparently checked hours of video footage that thoroughly that you can claim I am lying. That definitely insures I will never be returning and I will be sure to tell all my Mommy friends about my experience and your response. Great concept, but the layout does not allow parents to observe the kids from the "coffee house", as the website sells the experience. Honestly, we were looking for somewhere the kids could play on their own and not require full parental following around. If you have maybe 4 year and older kids, that could be this place, but with a 2.5 year old we were on the move the whole time since you can't see them when they go from play room to play room and there is a very wobbly, steep, narrow staircase that goes up to a loft. Unfortunately, this was our first visit and the staff member was not very welcoming. read more

The idea of this place is great. My son had a BLAST. The staff was hard working and seemed to keep the place running smoothly. (p.s parents this is not a time to "hang out" please keep an eye on YOUR children, the staff can only do so much with disciplining your children). I have been wanting to take my son here for a while now but I had friends tell me this place was disgustingly dirty... Its not THAT bad but it does need some work. New toys and deep cleaning definitely needs to be done. My ONLY issue with this place is the cleanliness. The toys are mostly dirty. GRANTED you are dealing with a bunch of toddlers running around with dirty sticky fingers so I understand everything cant look new and polished but some of the stuff like the clothing, hats and things just look neglected from being washed. This place needs a good sprucing. If you are just looking for a place to bring your kids to have a good time I would absolutely recommend. (you just have to look past a few dirty toys). My children and I have been coming to busy kids for almost 2 years. We absolutely love the Folsom location and hope to try out the Roseville location soon. They have been taking covid precautions and have still had excellent customer service and options for the kids. I've also enjoyed the coffee and sensory play bin to go option. Additionally this year and last we've had our Santa photos taken at their one day event. It's really the best option for Santa photos, because the kids get an allotted amount of time and there's no waiting in long lines. Its way less stressful with the kids. It's also a really great Santa, we get so many compliments on their photos. I highly recommend giving busy kids a try! read more

My little one gets to play in different play zones- they have a flight school, a school bus zone, a veterinarian zone, a mini home zone, a music zone- not even sure if Zone is the right way to describe it but there's so much to do for the little ones and there are snacks for sale (and delicious coffee for the adults ) and a changing table, and clean, potty-training friendly bathrooms. My four year old loves coming here, it has so many different options for her to role play along with activities like arts and crafts and story, what we love the most is the diversity they apply to their play rooms my daughter loves to see books and toys that she can relate to, and the amount of friendly faces we meet. This review is regarding the service I received on Jan 7, 2023. Folsom location. I'm a handicapped senior citizen who needs a walker for mobility. My granddaughter, the mother of the guest of honor, had contacted your establishment to explain my need to keep my shoes on and it was settled. However, when I arrived, your staff was not at all accommodating. First they wanted me to don some "booties" over my shoes. I agreed to this request, but they were very slippery, so I explained that. Then, they summoned the manager, who came out and questioned me, all this went on in front of all the other customers coming and going. It was an embarrassment and inconvenience to me and the others and should have been handled more efficiently and with more compassion to me. I'm old and more accustomed to rudeness but a younger more vulnerable person could have been devastated, emotionally by such treatment. I will not be giving your business any recommendations, as a result of my negative experience. BTW, others who witnessed this incidence, commented on how wrongly it was handled. read more

We just love this place. Having a safe, self-contained, fully decked-out place where small children can play alone, side by side or even together provides a load off our protective minds. That said, the only reason I would drop a star 4 vs 5 is that of the parent customers, not the staff. We drive from Pocket all the way to Folsom for a special treat for our 2.5-year-old grandchild. It is a little worrisome that sometimes parents allow their much older kids to run wildly and roughly among much younger children. I would go so far as to say that the management should consider placing an upper age limit on the children allowed to play there. If your too old to play with props, perhaps you shouldn't be there. Adding new less worn toys once in a while would be great as well. It's nice to grab a cup of coffee, or a snack and watch your kids lose themselves in their imagination. I really like this place. I work from home pretty frequently so BusyKids has come in handy on days my daughter is on breaks from school. I can chill at a table and do some light work and she can be entertained. She loves to play in all the different rooms but enjoys playing house the most. They have a great little house set up among other fun rooms. They have snacks and drinks for adults and kids. There are usually other little kids for her to play with there as well.
