Small portions for the prices. I'm talking like 5 pieces of shrimp for the shrimp and chips, but otherwise the quality of the fish and shrimp was pretty good. They were really hot when they arrived so they were freshly fried. Batter has a nice crispy texture. The sauces were okay. I got the Gordon Tar Tar and the Dijon Mayonnaise and they didn't really stand out with the flavors. Honestly, I couldn't taste much of a difference between the two. Food came out pretty fast which makes this a convenient stop to eat at before or after watching a show.
It's always an amazing experience when i come here. Today was no different. I walked in when it was empty and clean. Not sure why it was so empty on a Sunday afternoon but customers came in after i sat down. Bathrooms were super clean, and so were tables. I ordered and ate some of my food and took the rest to go and was given a bag to take it with Me. Staff was nice as always, i love this location and restaurant
The place was empty at lunch time. We ordered a combo and then dirty fríes option three. There was a mixup and the fries with the combo were dirty fries option three instead of a separate order as we wanted. Service ok kind of slow and seemed a bit irritated. When we picked up our food the guy noticed the cocktail sauce had separated. Not sure if it was from sitting out but he took a toothpick and stirred it up. We asked for ketchup it took them about 10 minutes to find some. I will say overall the food was good. I especially loved the curry sauce, but with the place that has the name Gordon Ramsay on it. I kind of expected a bit more.
I've been in a fish and chip mood and am on the prowl for the best in the city. I tried a few places when I lived in England so I'm picky about this dish. It's one of my faves. The store's location is a little tricky. It says it's on broadway but it's really on 44th st. I've been wanting to go to this restaurant because well--Gordon Ramsey! He doesn't play when it comes to food and cooking! Lol! Being that he is English, I was sure his fish recipe would be perfect. I ordered the fish and chip combo with mango curry and tartar sauces. Oooh the sauces were perfect. I loved the mango curry and used it as a chip dip as well. It had a light curry flavor with a subtle fruity sweetness. I need that bottled Ramsey! So about the fish...they were nicely fried in an authentic tasting batter though I think it should be a 4 pc instead of a 3 pc. The fish and chips were steaming hot and fresh! I don't think the entree would be as good without the sauces so if in doubt go with them. The chips were slimmer than I thought they would be. Nothing too special about the chips but they were a bit too salty and slightly overdone for my liking. They have packets of malt vinegar that you can add on yourself. Whenever I'm in the Times Square area I know that I can come to Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips for consistent and tasty fried fish. I've had both their fish, shrimp, and their fishwich (which is like a taco)! This is a bit of a pricey spot for fast food vibes, but it really is very tasty and fresh, and made fresh to order. It always comes out piping hot. No frozen crab cakes here, Gordon fans will get that joke, haha! The restaurant is no frills with modern decor but in an area with few tasty restaurant choices this is one of my favorites for a quick and consistently delicious option.
Better than expected. Dined here after a Broadway show on a Saturday. Perhaps people don't think of it as a dinner place, because it was not that busy at 6 pm. To be sure, it's a fish and chips place, and while you can get shrimp or chicken, you get three pieces of fish or chicken in a paper box along with a healthy portion of chips. And it was very good. The fish was made to order and was hot, crispy and tasty. The fries were also nice and hot and crispy. Very casual, fast food setting with a half a dozen tables and a small counter. If you want casual and tasty, but a bit expensive (hey, it's Gordon Ramsey and Times Square, of course the prices are a bit shocking), I'd say try it.

When you are at Broadway and W. 44th. St., walk east for 1-2 minutes. The restaurant is across the street from The Gap. The menu choices are limited, but remember it's quality, not quantity! The hellfire wings are the perfect blend of heat and spice. I'd eat the bones if I could! There's no doubt the blue cheese is better than the herb ranch sauce, but both are still tasty! The temperature, crispiness, and appearance of the main entrees and chips are on par. Make sure you don't eat the lobster shell! You are allowed to choose two sauces for each main course. I recommend all of them except the mango curry sauce; curry tastes better when you are having Indian cuisine. Even the design of his disposable boxes looks pretty neat. Appearance counts because when you are a chef, you automatically are an artist - whether you like it or not! If you have room for dessert, try Gordon's biscoff shake or any of his seasonal shakes of the month. I honestly feel his milkshakes supersedes all of his competitors because the dessert drinks are really thick and there is not an overbearing amount of toppings. First time but wanted to try. While the food was very good (breading was light for a chicken tender and fried perfectly seasoned) there were some things that took us off of the restaurant in general. For being in Times Square, it wasn't as welcoming as some other places. The price was a bit steep for what you got, even in NYC (almost $20 for 3 tenders and fries. No drink) Restaurant had some leaking from the ceiling and it felt like a sauna inside. The food is what kept up the stars. I would try it for yourself but you may want to walk around while eating.
Stopped by for a quick bite between plans, mostly just to check it off the list with no real expectations. Ended up enjoying the Gordon's Combo, which came with deep fried chicken, shrimp, fish, and fries. We picked tartar and sriracha aioli as our sauces. Everything was fried to a good crisp, and the seasoning was on point. Portion was solid too. Might have just been our timing, but there was no lineup and the space felt pretty relaxed, which made it a nice pause from all the walking. Only small hiccup was the table needing a wipe down before we could sit. Nothing major, just something that stuck out first thing. Aside from that, glad we popped in. A nice little breather before heading off to our next stop in the city.
I was surprised to see and Gordon Ramsey Fish & Chip restaurant in Times Square right across from our hotel. The last night we decide to stop in and ordered the fish and chip meal. I was hoping that this place didn't disappoint us. I admire Chef Ramsay's and enjoy watching all his cooking shows. The service was good, the prices were a bit pricey on the meal. My fish and chip came out freshly cooked with perfection. My fish was crispy just the way I like it. Well cooked and seasoned.
My daughter is a fan of Gordon Ramsay so we finally made it to this restaurant for lunch before catching a Broadway show. Convenient location on Broadway. Informal dining experience. We did the fish and chips. You get about 3 pieces of fish and a lot of fries. There are multiple sauces from which you can choose. We also did the shake combo, one biscotti flavor and one strawberries and cream flavor; they were both good, but we were partial to the biscotti. Service was quick and helpful. It was overall a delicious lunch.
It was okay. Food was a bit salty so that was disappointing. Service was okay. The ambience was a little sketch. Overall I expected more from a place with Gordon Ramsay's name on it.
Tried the fish and shrimp combo with chips . I was so impressed with the size of the shrimp , usually at a fast food establishment they are minuscule. I enjoyed the batter and the fish was good. It could have been a little more crispy but it was still tasty. The chips were just ok, nothing special. I am not a sugar soda drinker and was happy that they have seltzer available. The cups are a nice plastic and my straw was, it's the little things! The food here is made to order so be prepared to wait a little bit. Unfortunately, the scaffolding outside makes it look dingy from the outside but inside it was very clean. I can't say enough about the employees here. They were so friendly and truly happy ! I was so impressed by that, especially in NYC , it can be a tough crowd to deal with .

After spending the day out touring the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island in the rain, I knew I needed to grab something to eat before meeting a friend to watch a Broadway show later that night. Luckily, I had Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips on my list and it was on my way. I'd also been wanting to check off eating at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant on my foodie bucket list for sometime. This spot is going to count for me, at least until I can eat at one of his real-deal restaurants. While I didn't expect the place to not have a line, I was pleasantly surprised at how I was able to quickly place my order then grab a counter seat along the window. I was solo on this visit, so I didn't need a table, but those who had groups had to wait a few minutes to grab an empty one as the the restaurant was fairly full. The atmosphere is just like any pop-in, to-go place: casual, yet energetic, and feels approachable with a focus on serving quality food, rather than worried about a Michelin star. The only caveat is that the prices are a bit higher than most are probably happy paying, but you've got to remember its proximity to Times Square and the Gordon Ramsay brand. I got Gordon's combo which was a piece of cod, a piece of chicken, and three pieces of shrimp. All three were were crispy, flaky, and golden brown with a light batter that delivered a nice crunch, and the chips were hot and hearty. Exactly what you would you'd hope for from a restaurant built around this delicious British comfort food, especially with Gordon Ramsay's name on it. I'm not much for tartar sauce, so I can't speak to that, but I definitely appreciated the bit of lemon to add a bright burst of freshness. As it is more of a to-go/fast food style place, the presentation was surprisingly appealing for a quick-service restaurant. Food: 4 Service: 2 Ambiance: 2 This review is long overdue as it has been about a year since I visited. This spot is right smack dab in the middle of Times Square, so if you are craving fish and chips while exploring the area, it is a convenient place to stop. Upon entering, I did notice that the place was a bit dirty and the customer service was just OK. It was not nonexistent, but it was not particularly friendly either. The staff were just kind of there and doing their job. We ordered the fish/ shrimp combo with chips number #2 which is the parmesan fries, and also ordered two shakes. It was not busy at all when we visited, although there were a few other people there. Our food actually came out very quickly and we barely had to wait. I will say that we really did enjoy the fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauces were really good. The batter on the fish was crisp and the fish was flaky and moist. The chips#2/parmesan were also very delicious. The shakes were fine, but they did not really blow me away. If you are looking for a good, no fuss fish and chips spot in Times Square, this is a solid option. Just do not expect outstanding service and be prepared for some sticky tables and floors. If you are fine with that, then it is definitely worth a stop. 4 stars for the food, while everything else was closer to 2. read more

The resto was in an alley somewhere in Time Square - so it was touristy. But but it wasn't crowded so we stumbled upon this establishment. We ordered at the counter and they give you a ticket and you wait for your food. The place is clean about 15 people inside the small place. Maybe it was an off day, as we had to wait about 25 minutes for our food- not sure what the deal was because you can see the cooking and frying the food. if you are in this area, it's either after watching a Broadway show about to see one so if in a hurry, it may not work out for you here. Staff was apologetic and drumroll... I ordered the fish and chips and the fries were excellent. The fish was crispy yet soft the fries were crispy and also soft inside. Basically it was a English style fish and chips. We also got the fried chicken and chips and the same thing crispy yet tender inside so overall the only reason why I gave you a three was because of the wait but food wise between four and five stars read more

Well I'll be!!! If you're wanting fish and chips this spot is VERY hard to beat! And given this location you're talking to a girl born and raised in the Bay Area, CA and THIS gets my approval! The fish and chips baskets are beyond excellent with the perfect amount of breading and fresh cod. I also LOVE their chicken I am not quite sure what sauce they put in between the breading and the chicken but it's delicious and flavorful! And they have different choices of "dirty chips" aka fries lol and the one that's tried and true for me is the dirty #3 option. It has cheese, sour cream, CHUNKS of pieces of bacon and I mean tasty chunks no shortage! The sauces complement everything SO well and I just LOVE their lemonade. At the Vegas location I know for extra you can pay to have vodka in your lemonade but I did not check at this location I'm not the biggest drinker. I did however try their Biscoff shake and it was DEMOLISHED in minutes and soo good!! 10/10 food! The service is absolutely wonderful and let me tell you these employees are working FAST to get you order ahead given how busy this place is! I definitely recommend calling ahead of time if you can or ordering for pick up That being said this location is very similar to the location in Vegas at the promenade. You will be LUCKY to find seating as the line is quite long!!! Very very very busy atmosphere, but for good reason! Everything is absolutely delicious and plus that is just NY for you. This was a bit of a mixed experience for me. The space has bright lighting and a long, open kitchen, which gives it more of a fast-food vibe than I expected. The staff seemed annoyed when I came in to pick up my DoorDash order, which wasn't the warmest welcome. It felt like doing takeout was an inconvenience to them. That said, the food itself was really good! I got Gordon's Combo ($19.99, includes 1 piece of cod, 1 piece of chicken, and 3 shrimp along with fries), and everything was well-seasoned and salty in the best way. They were also SO CRUNCHY. I was impressed, especially since it was a to-go order. The shrimp were massive, and the portion felt generous. It came with two dipping sauces; I chose Gordon's tartar and the curry and mango. The tartar was good but the curry mango is fantastic, and I dipped every single thing in it. The pumpkin shake was a nice surprise too. It was really thick and rich with a strong pumpkin taste, which I wasn't expecting. It came topped with whipped cream, sticky toffee sauce, and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice ($10.99). I'd give it another shot and hope the staff was just having an off day because the food was worth another visit. read more

On vacation and found this fast food, Ramsey approved gem! The service was fast and easy. The restaurant was superbly clean. You can see the kitchen was gleaming steel and the staff was very sanitary. The chips were crispy and hot as was all other food items. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp are large! Fish was flaky and moist. The sauces are fantastic no matter what flavor! A definite must try! read more
The person taking orders and cooking the food was happy, energetic and fun - definitely seemed to enjoy his job. The chips were fresh, lightly salted and very very good. The fish was excellent with a light crispy breading. The chicken was good but the fish was deficient the star of the lunch. The place was clean with nice seating. I had a delivery order of Gordon Ramsey cod fish, shrimp, and an extra cod fillet with chips. The food was a delicious. The fried cod was flaky, fresh and not greasy. The fried shrimp consisted of 3 nice jumbo pieces, also fresh and tasty. The chips (French fries) are shoe string style. I would prefer wedges. But, they were very crispy especially for a delivery order. Clearly, a lot of thought went into it, so as to not deliver soggy fries, and that was nicely accomplished...a cut above most others. The condiments, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were very good. Packaging was perfect, and speed of delivery was fine. The quantity was filling, though I did add an extra piece of cod fish which I recommend doing if you have a good appetite. Highly recommend. read more
The food was fresh and tasty, but be aware that it is all fried and very heavy. It's a nice touch that you can order the mini milkshakes to try both flavors. One flavor rotates. The staff were friendly and accommodating. More than one table though was wobbly. I tried several and just had to make do with a wobbly table. The decor is in need of a touch up. read more

We got there right when they opened. So clean. Food was amazing. Brought me right back to Britain. Joyell cooked the food perfectly. Highly recommend. Food came out right away. Great service. I was very impressed with the quality of food offered at Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips. Everything was made fresh right after you order it. I ordered the fish and shrimp which came with two pieces of fish and three shrimp all were really fresh and crispy not greasy at all. My boyfriend ordered Gordon's Combo which had chicken, fish and shrimp. One piece of chicken, one piece of fish and three shrimp he also ordered the dirty truffle fries. We really loved the fish and shrimp the chicken however was dry and not the greatest. The truffle fries were delicious though and defintely worth the upgrade. The fish combo was just enough food; 3 pieces of flaky fish and salted fries; served hot! I appreciated Joyell's friendly and helpful service! It's nice to receive a smile in this cold world we live in! I agree with other reviews in that the places is small but kept very clean. They play fun music which was fun to sing-along and vibe to as I ate my food. Overall, when I'm back in NYC and have a taste for fish & chips, I will come back. read more

After eating lunch in Times Square, we decided to walk over here to get some fish & chips to bring home for dinner since we've been wanting to try it for a while. There was no wait to order, I got 2 combos- the fish and fish & shrimp, and they were ready quicker than expected, 5-6 minutes. I felt like for $20+, there should be at least 5 pieces of fish in the combo, not just 3. The shrimp & fish combo had 3 shrimps and 2 pieces of fish. We opted for the Gordon's tartar and sriracha aioli sauce. They use the same batter for their fish, shrimp, lobster, and chicken- not a bad thing. Since I have been watching Gordon Ramsay's shows all these years, and was surprised to hear him say on one of them that he had a fish n chips restaurant in Times Square, I figured I'd pay a visit since I'm so often in the area. It happened to be right down the street from the play I was watching today so I stopped in for a bite to eat before. I'm not surprised I didn't notice it before since there was scaffolding out in front and it's a fairly plain entrance. Inside there's a counter where you order & they make the food and then a bit of seating. Not really a big space but it wasn't very crowded. Took a while for the guys at the register to greet me but after that they were friendly & it was super quick. I was tempted to order one of the shakes that looked good in pics but felt it would be too much. So I got the fish combo (with tartar sauce & mango curry sauces) & a lemonade. The fish was hot & crispy, pretty decent, but just 3 small pieces. Most of it was fries, which were too salty. So for $28 I felt it was super overpriced. I don't think I saw an option to get just the fish? So don't think I'd return. Too bad Gordon doesn't have a real restaurant here. read more

My friend and I came after seeing Cursed Child on a Saturday evening and there was not a wait at all and plenty of seating. A nice fast casual option in times square. Situated right by Times Square, I'd avoided this place for quite a while, assuming it to be a tourist trap for sure. In actuality, the food is quite good. I had the fish and shrimp combo with tartar sauce and southwest ranch. There are plenty of other sauces to choose from as well and packets of malt vinegar and tabasco are available to grab. The order included more fries than I could finish and everything tasted freshly fried and looked beautifully golden. All the items had a nice crisp, helped further by the fact that they weren't excessively oily. The shrimp were large and fully peeled, though the fish was slightly smaller than I'd usually expect. The kitchen is clearly visible and the food took a while to be ready after we ordered, but I prefer this over being served fried items that have been sitting at the ready for a while. I'll also mention that there are plastic forks available if you prefer not to use your hands or the wooden pick included. The interior is almost comical, featuring walls printed with subtle images of Gordon Ramsay but mostly with UK flags. The seating is simple but sufficient. However, immediately upon walking in you notice that the entire place is filled with a light smoke, probably originating from all of the fryers producing your meal. Gordon's Combo ($20) comes with a sampling amount of fish, shrimp, and chicken. It lays on a mountainous amount of fries. Get the Dirty Fries ($4) add-on for more variety in flavor. Out of all the sauces, the Curry & Mango was a unique choice but I will always gravitate towards the Sriracha Aioli. The fried seafood seemed fried fresh to a beautiful golden color with a full crisp outer shell. The fries being the bed of it results in them being soggy though. Good to try once if you're looking for a different fast food in the area. read more

Any gluten free?
I think only the chips, fries, they say they have gluten-free buns for the burger on request but I would not trust it.
When will you have the sticky toffee shake? I went on 12/26. The cashier told me the machine that makes the shakes have no been working for weeks.
We have two shakes on our menu, Sticky Toffee and Biscoff!
Is the fish beer battered?
