Sat at the bar area alone. Ordered a latte, and the California breakfast sandwich. Latte was ok. Was never offered sugar. My food came and they didn't bother with utensils or napkins. We were driving from NY looking for a place to have breakfast and we stopped at Butter & Jam for the very first time ! And Omgosh!!! What a delight! We ordered the eggs Benedict and the lemon ricotta pancakes. The eggs Benedict were perfect - succulent combination was really perfection. The lemon ricotta pancakes were uplifting and exciting. We were so happy - we are going back today even if it means driving 1 hour to get there. It's so worth it ! The icing on the cake is the staff ! We were very excited to try pico and Guac. It was very disappointing to say the least. We went on a Thursday night. I ordered the brisket enchiladas, it came out warm and it wasn't backed for enough time. Although, on the menu the choices were either chicken or brisket. Mine was with pork, I guess they assumed people wouldn't know the difference. I pointed out to the waiter, he agreed it was pork. What a gem this place is! The staff super nice. The food was delicious and we tried the the butter and ham board and the variety of butter and ham was yummy it was fresh. Out table server Rachel was honest and nice. I love that she is bilingual . It was our first time and it was perfect Saturday morning. I had the displeasure of mistakenly eating here earlier today, the staff is rude and so disconnected from the reality of working that I was blown away. I believe in respect of anyone in the service industry however when you are standing and actively ignoring my daughter and my granddaughter and myself because you have decided the table with a two year old isn't worthy of your time...well when I have to go on a search party to pay my check for subpar food it adds insult to injury. $75 for Costco frozen biscuits and lackluster croissants with Smucker grape jelly at the cost of $20 is mind boggling. The coffee was the last dregs bitter and burnt. I will willingly pay for good service and good food, this place was not only a disappointment but a waste of money time and energy it took to drive there. Enjoyable new breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Madison. Located at the old Rocco's Pizza (still there but only on the other side), it's a rather large, roomy and clean spot. We didn't have to wait for a table of 4 at 8:30am on a Sunday. We were handed menu's after a few mins (you can also view via a QR code provided at the table. From 8-9 they have a happy hour breakfast of sandwich, coffee and home fries for $12...great deal! So I had the Madison - THEC on a ciabatta roll, son had same on croissant, daughter had the kids pancakes and wife had Parma (prosciutto, egg, basil pesto, tomato, fresh mozzarella) on a croissant. We also had french toast for the table. Everything was enjoyable although the pancakes were slightly undercooked. Their coffee was just ok. They have tons of different varieties but we stuck with just normal coffee. It did have a slight burnt taste to it...a bit bold too. Service was good. She was overwhelmed but everything was done in a timely manner. Prices are very good. Same, near identical meal, we had at a spot in Chatham last week was $30 more... Very disappointed on our first and last trip to this place. A group of friends and I visited on a late Sunday morning and had to wait a few minutes to be seated. That was ok. We expected it. After we were seated, the waitress came over and asked to take our order. We hadn't received menus yet. The waitress advised us the menus could be found via a QR code found on the table. Why didn't the hostess tell us that when she sat us? The waitress took our coffee order and gave us a few minutes. So where is the issue? 30 minutes later the waitress failed to return to our table. We saw here go to the table next to us a few times and we attempted to wave her down. After 30 minutes, we went up the front and asked if they could send our waitress over. 10 minutes passed and we still hadn't seen our waitress come back. We left 5 bucks on the table for the two coffees and departed. On the way out, we told our waitress we were leaving and we left 5 bucks on the table for the coffees. Her response was, "where we you sitting?" Our response was, "Where the 5 dollar bill is on the table." She had no clue. We noticed it was a very young staff working and nobody seemed in charge. We ordered matcha tea and an English Breakfast tea which took 20 minutes to get, and then got a chai tea and a Lipton tea! Avocado toast took another 20 minutes and was very ordinary. I was recently here twice in one week. Once for a lunch and then for breakfast. I really want to like this place however there are a few obstacles that may make it difficult to return. While the name of the restaurant evokes an image of a cute and cozy atmosphere, it is anything but that. The restaurant is very white with all hard surfaces reminding me of an office building cafeteria. With all the hard surfaces, the noise level is extreme. It is really difficult to have a conversation and just plain uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to get out of there, due to the noise. They really need to do something about the acoustics. While the dining experience wasn't relaxing due to the noise, our salads were very good. For lunch we both had the power bowls with chicken and they were very good! A large portion with fresh ingredients. For breakfast later in the week, we both had a cup of coffee and my son started off with the yoghurt parfait. The parfait was really tasty! The Greek yogurt was really creamy with no bitterness. We both ordered the veggie omelette. The omelette was supposed to be a mixture of spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. He enjoyed his omelette however I wasn't as happy with my choice. The ratio of ingredients seemed off. I ordered mine without mushrooms. I thought that it had way too much cheese and spinach. My omelette only had two small cherry tomatoes sliced in half. It was really a spinach and very cheesy omelette. If you like a lot of cheese and spinach, you will probably enjoy it. It was not the right choice for me. The sour dough toast that accompanied my meal was really good though! The cost was also really high for a breakfast for two. Almost $70.00 including the tip! I I may try it again for lunch however it's just too expensive for breakfast. I am also hoping that they find a solution for the noise level. read more

No complaints about our waitress, however after ordering our food, it took them well over 40 minutes to bring us the B & J Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and there wasn't a rush at the time maybe one more family seated before us. I'm not sure if they forgot to deliver us our order, but the biscuit was soggy I am not even exaggerating it must've sat there for 20 mins allowing the blanched spinach soak into the biscuit. The peach fuzz mocktail I ordered didn't even taste like a mocktail it just tasted like peach colored seltzer with no peach flavor all although the waitress added extra peach syrup for me it didn't change the taste at all. I'm not sure if she's supposed to be mixing the drinks and that's why the attempt at making a fizzy juice was extremely underwhelming and an overpriced cup seltzer.
