Busy on Sunday morning but worth the wait (only about 10 minutes, though). Friendly, very hard-working staff. We had the Al Pastor hash and the All-American eggs, both with croissants. Poached eggs were PERFECT. Potatoes, onions, peppers and ham in the hash were crisp and not oily. Ask for salsa - it was delicious. So was the peach jelly we got with the croissants. Stopped by for breakfast on our last day vacationing in the Teton valley. Wish we would have come here first because we would have come multiple times on our trip! Food was good, but 2/3 waitresses were really rude. 1 was rude when we asked politely if we could be seated inside because it was hot and not shaded out. The 2nd was rude when my friend ordered toast. We assumed butter and jam would be give when someone orders it, but when we asked for it, the waitress gave a Huge eye roll and a verbal sigh. Great little breakfast place in Victor! I was on vacation in the area and we ended up stopping in several times and got the eggs benedict both times. Service was friendly, the espresso made drinks spot on also. The only thing I would add is while still delicious, the first time I ordered the beni, the eggs were super runny, not just the yokes, but the whites also. I love over easy eggs so I wasn't grossed out but have never experienced the whites being that way also. I brought it up to the staff the second time I ordered and they said that they use a Japanese cooking style for the eggs and they are cooked throughout and totally safe, so I'm not suggesting otherwise, I just opted for over easy on round two and was 100% happy with it. We happened upon Butter by accident but best breakfast I'd had in a while. Had the Breakfast Bowl which had good sized chunks of meat, potatoes, poblano peppers, and onions. Good flavor and just the right amount of heat. The orange was fresh squeezed and do not leave before ordering a croisssant. So buttery and served with a fruit compote. Delish. read more

This is the place!!!!! Absolutely a 10 plus! The quality of food is outstanding! The freshly baked breads are top end! I would put this place up against any 5 star resort restaurant. Superb service makes us feel like we're in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Not a ton of interior seating but the outdoor area in the summer is a bonus. Course after course comes out to oohs and ahhs before a bite is taken and then the flavors blow you away. Simply delicious food for every meal. read more

Sooo, I'm a bit suprised with the high ratings, but everybody is entitiled to their opinion. Here is Mine... First off, I live in Drictor and was very excited when I heard Butter was opening. I have eaten at Butter twice. First time I had the 'El Pastor' and the second time I had the huevos rancheros. Food: Not to sound preachy, but I have extensive experience working as a saute cook and have worked in several established, local restaurants. I had issues with both dishes not being executed very well. The 'El Pastor' had fried tortilla strips as an integral part of the dish. They were definitely over-fried, brown and actually too crunchy, in my opinion. The serving size was adequate, but definitely not large. Flavor was pretty good. Overall, decent. The huevos rancheros. If you are going to have a latin-centric menu, you better kill the huevos rancheros! The cooks at Butter did not :( Huevos rancheros is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch go-to's. My major issue was the fact that they served it on, once again, fried corn tortillas. I could tell that both times I was served the fried tortillas they were fried in generic deep frier oil, not a more traditional lard. That is fine if you execute it well, but they did not. The rather small portion of black beans, chili Colorado sauce and eggs, was served over the fried tortillas. The combination of fried tortillas and liquid mixture on top morphed into the toughest, most rubbery tortilla I have ever tried to cut through. I actually looked at my knife to see if it had any small serrations because I literally wasn't able to cut through the tortilla. It did have serrations... Flavor, again, was pretty good. Portion was too small for a brunch item and $12. Service: Both times the service was plenty fast and attentive with regard to the servers; Leah on my first visit, and both Leah, Amelia and a cook (who served me my food) from the kitchen on my second visit (Does the kitchen staff get tipped-out?). The issue for me was in the lack of attention to detail. Considering they have been open for a month I would have expected service to be a little tighter. On my first visit, I did not have a spoon in my pint glass of silverware and napkins. I had to wait a while before I was able to track a spoon down to stir the sugar into my coffee and then realized I also didn't have any creamer for my coffee. I eventually got up and had to use the creamer for to-go coffee. On my second visit I was served coffee and asked if I wanted creamer. Nice that they got the creamer down. Unfortunately, this time I didn't have a pint glass of silverware and napkins at all. Again I read the paper for 5 minutes and finally had to ask for silverware from over the counter from my server. At the end of the meal my server did ask how everything was and I told her my thoughts on the huevos rancheros. Nothing was done to ensure I was content and would return. Overall, nothing that did or did not happen was a make or break it, but they weren't busy either time I went in. I left today questioning if I want return for a meal that I could have done better at home, including the coffee... read more
