I stopped by for their dine la menu, and it was amazing! The showstopper for the menu was the ceviche. So citrusy, perfect for a hot summer day. Their tacos were delicious, I had one steak taco. My only complaint is they should double layer the taco with another tortilla since it easily broke apart. The fries with the mole on top of it was an unexpected pairing but it worked out and I'm so glad I chose it. Their margaritas were perfect, and even came in a cute glass with some pretty sea salt foam. Thank you for the great experience and service Butterfly, I will definitely be coming back to lounge!

Came in to try their Dine LA menu & I loved everything! For my appetizer, I went for the guacamole & chips, very good. My ceviche I chose the Atun Pacifico and it was phenomenal , I had never had a ceviche with pecans in it and it was such a great choice. I got the two mini quesadillas with hongos en molito, so delicious! And for dessert I went for the prickly pear sorbet. My server Zac M. was very kind and attentive. I loved the ambience, it's on the rooftop with a pool and it's decorated so nice. Everything was great and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back with friends.

The vibe is if beach house was done in a discerning, welcoming, & not overly bougie (as can so often be the issue with rooftop venues) manner. The service was friendly, helpful, & enthusiastic without being "overly around" during an obvious girls night much needed catch-up. The cocktails were delish, & it's clear the salt air is popular for a reason. The chips were fresh, nicely spiced & abundant. The salsa was nice & smokey, and the (huge cauldron of) guac was very satisfying. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the tortillas in the enchiladas & loved how warm-gooey-cheesy they were!

Lowkey hidden gem rooftop in Culver City! Thank goodness for DineLA introducing me to this spot. It's a cute poolside rooftop restaurant that serves tapas and drinks. We did the DineLA menu and the highlights were the mole fries and watermelon ceviche appetizer! Very cute and will be back since it looks like they do Resort Pass as well.

The overall vibe wasn't great, uninviting and the food was just ok. Not how I expected my bday celebration to turn out. For spending over $400 you would think to have a decent experience at the least. When we arrived, everyone was at the bar area watching the soccer game. Cool and not a problem but you shouldn't come off annoyed like I've bothered you while " watching the game." I told him I had a reservation. It didn't seem to matter at all. The pool was on the smaller side, but since there weren't a lot of people, it wasn't a problem. However, the water was murky. The cabana was a nice touch we rented it for two hours from 6p to 8p I don't think I could recommend this timeframe because it got too cold (on one of the hottest days of July) and we couldn't fully enjoy ourselves, had to get out of the murky water earlier than expected. It is a cute spot and has so much potential. Maybe it was good at one point and went downhill or someone just stopped caring. There were only two nice servers and that was the cabana server and the guy who brought out our food during lunch he had cute heart glasses. Other than that, everyone there was cold and offputting. Including the valet and the guy at the front desk, whom I asked where Butterfly was located, a question he seemed to be tired of hearing.

Wanted to try this hidden gem in Culver City for Dine LA Resturaunt and everything was exceptional! Here is my review of their 4 course meal for $35. Starters - chips and guac (made fresh daily, served cold) 8/10 Ceviche - Atun Pacifico (crunch, spicy and just refreshing) 10/10 Entree - Baja shrimp taco (spicy yet bursting with flavors and juices) 10/10 Dessert - Prickly Pear Sorbet (sweet and sour but perfect for treat in the heat) 10/10 The decor is warm and inviting just like the service. Everything I ordered was freshly prepared and seasoned, so I highly recommend this spot for anytime of the day for a colorful meal.

One of my favorite experiences while visiting LA. We used resort pass to use the pool. Something about this spot stood out in my scrolling and I'm so glad it did! Butterfly + pool are two tandem experiences. The service was awesome, we really loved Dana, our Culver City native who took care of us all day and even recommended other spot to go when we left. The views, the pool, and the food were fantastic. Truly a fantastic spot for the day. WE spent about 5 hours and an unspeakable amount of money on drinks but it was all worth it.

Came here for brunch & was pleasantly surprised w everything! Love the ambiance of this rooftop & the full bar is very beautiful. The only reason they don't get five stars is for the lack of vegan options. The service was great ! We came on a very slow day so there were only two other tables occupied while we were there. The food & drinks we did order were great. I would definitely come back for brunch :)

Their happy hour is such a steal and the ambiance is top tier! It's such a cute rooftop and you can dine by the pool. Their HH is $16 for a taco, margarita, and chips and salsa (which I thought was a great deal). And everything was delicious!

My friend and I stopped by Saturday night for dinner and drinks and were very well taken care of. The Butterfly is a charming rooftop restaurant with delicious food and drinks. We both had the carne asada tacos and shared the queso fundido con tequila--everything was super tasty, and the fresh tortillas were excellent. I ordered the yuzu margarita with a sugar rim, which was delicious, and my friend had a classic margarita, also with a sugar rim. We arrived around 8:15, close to their 9:00 closing time, but never felt rushed. In fact, it was nice having fewer diners so we could fully enjoy the atmosphere. Our servers, Joey and Malik, were amazing, and Tony at valet helped make the whole experience even better. I'll definitely be back to check out the brunch scene this summer.

The space itself is beautiful--super pretty, great vibes, and a really nice atmosphere. We were seated quickly, and the staff were genuinely very kind and welcoming throughout our meal. Unfortunately, the actual Dine LA experience was really disappointing. We ordered the $35 menu, and the food was very subpar. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but it still took forever for our food to come out. The biggest disappointment was the "ceviche" option. There was no indication from the menu that it would literally be two tiny slices of tomato and two tiny slices of watermelon. It was honestly shocking when it came out and felt more like a garnish than an actual course. For a Dine LA menu that should be an opportunity to showcase the restaurant and make people want to come back, this really missed the mark. Beautiful space and lovely staff, but the food, portions, and pacing made the overall experience extremely disappointing.

The breakfast was amazing and delicious. The service was great. The place was bright airy and relaxing. Its on the rooftop of the hotel. The view from there was beautiful. I would recommend this place for sure.

    Guac and queso

Came here for Dine La. We got the lunch special for $35. We chose this restaurant because we had more to choose from but they do provide a disclaimer that the portion sizes are smaller than the usual. We got to try their Guac and queso which both were really good. The Guac was almost perfect. It didn't need any extra lime or salt. The queso was packed with flavor but I think it was a little heavy on the seasoning. The tortilla chips were good and nicely seasoned and the blue corn tortillas were good as well. Next we had the ahi tuna ceviche and coconut ceviche. Both were also tasty and fresh. The coconut ceviche was creamy but included corn nuts which I thought was a little random. The ahi tuna had pecans and that I enjoyed. We both got the Baja fish tacos and agreed it was good. It was just crispy enough w the right amount of flavor. Only thing is they were so tiny and we got one each. The waiter said it's usually one taco but bigger so just so you know. I'd like to order two but one is already overpriced. We finished with some chocolate flan and churros and I think these were the best out of everything. The chocolate flan was rich in this expresso flavor and the churros were crispy outside and shush chewy enough. It came either two churros and chocolate sauce to dip it in which I love! We both got cucumber mocktails which was nice and refreshing. The ambiance was super cute and clean. Definitely got the LA vibes. Theres plenty of seating whether you'd like to sit at a table or the lounges closer to the pool. I def want to come back to enjoy the pool and try out some of their other food but I'll know to expect a bit of a splurge and not quite getting a bang for your buck when it comes to the food.

I'm always in a rush, so I never stop. Well tonight is my night. It was a bit cold and windy, but who cares - I get TACOS! There is always a line and folks sitting at the provided tables and seats in front of their truck. They have all your favorites, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gringas and even fajitas! My favorite and default tacos are always going to be the carnitas and carne asada. Right after that will be Al Pastor and Chicken. They also have lingua, tripe, cabeza as well as chorizo! While they take cards, bring cash, that's the best price. Card prices are a bit more. Their prices are clearly marked on the huge menu. Orders come out quick and help yourself to the condiments bar filled with limes, pickled onions, red and green salsas and sauces, radishes, and pico de gallo. The guys behind the grill are friendly and fast. They do a great job of keeping the area clean and keeping the condiment bar stocked. They have trucks all over LA. Check out their locations on their website or here on Yelp! I am coming back and want to try their burritos and tortas!

I had ingested several bites of it, (with hot sauce), but I couldn't take another bite. The meat was chemically contaminated & I got sick not long after for the whole night. It was important for me to tell the person that runs the stand. I had the best of intentions to help this business and wanted nothing in return. I walked up to the stand & asked the woman who takes the cash, (with the sharp eyebrows), if I could please speak to the person in charge, (or owner). At first she ignored me & then said, "I don't understand - no speak English." I asked who speaks English and she sent me to the back of the line by the cooks. I stood there for another 10 minutes and no one wanted to talk to me or answer my question. I told them that there was a big problem with their meat the night before & had brought back the entire meal, so they could try the meat. No one did anything except talk to each other in Spanish, (which I understood). The cook graciously offered me a replacement meal & tried to problem solve. The tall man, who spoke English, (as shown next to cashier Karen in the photo), was going to give me a replacement meal. I waited 15-20 minutes. I asked for the chicken quesadilla, and the vitriol that came out of cashier Karen, who said she didn't speak English was unbelievable. She refused to give me any food and said I had to pay $6 for the replacement taco. I tried to tell her that it was a replacement and she kept yelling aggressively at me and said, "no - you pay $6. You're not getting anything " and that I, "never bought any taco." She became angry and verbally abusive because I was getting a replacement meal, as a solution to my getting chemically poisoned. She was a bully and aggressively yelling at me to humiliate me in front of the other customers & personnel. By this time she had no problem speaking English. (A group of young ladies started talking to me, felt bad that I was the focus of cashier Karen's rudeness. They complimented me & wished me a good night.) The guy next to cashier Karen handed me the bag with the quesadilla. I asked cashier Karen for her name and she ignored me. Then I asked the guy next to her what her name was and he put his hands together like duck lips and rudely opened and closed his hand at me, (meaning that I'm talking to much) This was extremely inappropriate & as soon as I left, I threw the food out, because I didn't trust or hold it past any of them to have put something nasty in my food. By the way, there was never a possibility that I would be refunded. By this time I was so upset, I was sorry that I had generously tipped them the night before. Even cashier Karen's response to the tip had been of surprise; but then I remembered she had not even acknowledged it or said thank you, after receiving it. What this staff does not, is that I owned and operated a successful fine dining restaurant & wedding venue for 17 years. I have done consulting for small restaurant businesses, pro bono, in order for the businesses to financially thrive. I know how food is cooked, how it should be stored, when the oil needs to be changed, marketing, accounting, et al., as well as the health dept's requirements, in order to keep the public healthy and well. What I believe happened to the meat and reason I took my food back to the taco stand; is because they had been out of chicken. Since there was a meat shortage, more carne asada needed to be barbecued quickly. An abundance of lighter fluid was used to quicken the process & it possibly got on the grill, where the meat is placed; and the cooking process started well before the coals were ready. It shouldn't matter whether you go to a restaurant, food truck or taco stand, customers should be treated with respect, kindness & consideration - and it's called customer service. A customer shouldn't be lied to, yelled at, insulted and humiliated by any employee of the business. It should be run in a transparent and professional manner. I'm 64 yrs young & have never written one negative comment or review about any restaurant. Nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect, malice and ill intent. I felt it important to tell my story because nobody should experience what I did; in eating compromised food and then being made to feel like I did something bad. This is what bullies do and I've never had a problem in clarifying right from wrong, as well as responsibility and accountability. I didn't have a choice and had to give a star.
