    Barely visible paper-thin chicken Pattie
    Brittany D.

Meehhhh This is a convenient option if you're in the area. But I definitely would not drive to this part of town just to eat here nor if I was in a rush. The restaurant is small but they make great use of the dining space. We only ordered a chicken biscuit to-go and it took 45 minutes for us to get it. After the first 30 minutes they gave us the wrong order by accident and then we waited another 15 minutes for them to fix it. There was no effort to reconcile and compensate us for the error and wait. Typically, restaurants handle these matters by offering a comped item for the trouble or even reimburse the tab. They never attempted to. After the long anticipated wait, it was just ok. The eggs were scrambled well but the sliver of chicken on the biscuit was thin like a fed-up mother's patience. The chicken Pattie lacked more meat and flavor. It would be better drenched in hot sauce. But they do provide a generous side of maple butter and jam on the side to make up for what the chicken biscuit obviously lacks. They earned the 3.6 rating above. Let it accurately guide you.

Had very high expectations for this spot but it did not hit the spot. While the pancakes were delicious, the catfish and fried chicken lacked seasoning and was bland. Enjoyed the size of the pancake tacos they were cool. The waffles were okay. The French toast was cooked good but felt like it was a missing that signature taste. The grits tasted flavorful but did not like the oil/butter stashed at the bottom. We had to wait a little bit for someone to walk up to us but she was very accommodating once she came over.

Came thru for Mother's Day weekend and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere when you walk in and nice music playing in background. Staff was all really nice and we didnt have much of a wait which surprised me. I got the honey chicken biscuit with cheese grits and it was great! Really enjoyed the grits the biscuit was good but just not as good as it looks. I would probably get waffle or pancakes next time. Food was all fresh and tasted good overall. If in the area and looking for a good breakfast/brunch stop in

The place is relatively new where we ate. Their original place is being renovated and enlarged we were told. The food is amazing and delicious. Do not miss getting a biscuit or two maybe three plain, garlic with vegetables, or blueberries. I am vegetarian so no meat for me but the other guest said that meats they got were excellent. See photos for more.

Side Pancakes,Scrambled Soft w/sausage. Meat Lover's Delight Omelet with Grits. The biscuits are awesome.

The waiting wasn't as long as we were told, only 10 minutes vice 45. The service was excellent as well as the food which came out pretty quickly and was hot and fresh. The ambiance was very nice for a local spot, a little small but well worth the wait for a great breakfast or brunch spot.

We were in the area and wanted to grab brunch. We did a google search and this popped up so we decided to give it a try. I'm so happy we did. We were seated promptly and Our server Janae was awesome. Very friendly and super attentive and helpful We got pancakes ! Shrimp and grits and some breakfast plates and everything was delicious. I think I may have stumbled on a hidden gem. I will definitely be back

    Vs. what I got...wasted $7.

A social media post caught my attention of this establishment. This place is considerably small, with not much room to walk. I place a pickup order at the kiosk and did not receive a receipt, which was quite strange even after asking the staff for one. The staff seemed rushed due to the 3pm closing time looming as more customers arrived. While waiting, I witnessed a seated couple leave due to having to ask for menus and the nonchalant response from one of the staff members. I order a short-stack side of pancakes ($7) based on what I saw on social media, and a breakfast platter ($16 for scrambled eggs with cheese, biscuit with peach jam, turkey bacon, and potatoes). 3-stars for the breakfast platter (no peach jam) and a lesson learned for the pancakes. This place has potential with better training and more staff on duty, but leaves much to be desired.

It's my second time visiting Buttermilk Biscuit this month and they didn't disappoint. My boo and I decided to visit for Easter brunch. There was no wait for seating. Our server was nice and friendly and our food and drinks arrived in under 20 minutes. I tried the chicken and waffles and they were perfect. The chicken wings were crispy and seasoned and I added a few splashes of Texas Pete too. The waffles were fluffy with a hint of vanilla. Ordered the catfish, shrimp, and grits bowl. It was so good too. He also ordered the all meat omelet and it came with a biscuit with blueberries jam. We will return again soon to try their brunch after dark.

This experience was much different than we were accustomed to. My sister and I have eaten at this establishment since the doors opened. The service and ambiance of this location was wonderful. It provided a feeling of sharing a meal with family. The food was served hot and ready to eat. However, I have noticed a change in the menu items. We asked our serviceman what caused the change; he took the time to address our concerns. The avocado toast we noticed the change of bread choice as well as the removal of the pickled onions. Although these changes were made i cannot say that it didn't taste good, but to compare the two I prefer the original. The chicken and waffles still provide the same taste, but the waffles look as if the size has been decreased. The flavored butter has been removed as well. This is not to criticize changes, but to understand the change.I would implore you to continue to educate your staff on the changes, and keep making delicious food! My sister & I will return.

Ate for brunch with my mom. No reservations just walked in on a Tuesday and immediately serviced. The sitting area is kinda small so not ideal for large parties. Our waiter (wish I knew his name) was awesome. He was very attentive without being overbearing. Everything I had was tasty. Special shoutout to the grits. It's hard to nail down some good creamy grits

The male waiter with the dreads was great! However, I ordered the fish and grits and they didn't have Creole seasoning to cook the fish how I wanted it, yet it was on the menu. The grits were not smooth and creamy; gave chunk with shredded cheese on top. When serving fish and grits, blend the cheese in while cooking....gives them better consistency. Overall, it's an overpriced spot....and MY GOD! The air wasn't working ....stuffy and fanning while eating . Breakfast potatoes were frozen Walmart brand potatoe cubes....fresh cut red potatoes with onions and peppers would've been perfect.

Buttermilk Biscuit is located near StoneCrest Mall. It's down from the mall in a strip mall. There is decent free parking. There are several businesses in the strip mall. It has a new contemporary feel. The staff was friendly. We were seated after about 5 minutes. Staff cleans tables and menus between every customer. They do a great job keeping it clean and flow of business moving. My granny and I enjoyed our brunch together. The French toast breakfast sandwich was fire. Not gonna lie the reviews on here had me worried. The sandwich was delicious!! I ate every bite. The bacon was cooked perfectly. It came with side syrup but not needed for me. My granny said her pancakes were good. The potatoes not so much. As soon as she made a face, staff came over to see if there was an issue. They immediately replaced them. They were better. They had more seasoning, onion and peppers. We both had water to drink. We timed it perfectly. I would go back again. Decent serving size for the price. The staff was on it!!! Check them out.

Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. The service was phenomenal. I had the salmon and grits for me entrée. The food was delicious and the blueberry biscuit bites were so good that we ordered more to go. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

You wouldn't know that from the website nor just walking in. That would've been nice to know beforehand so we wouldn't have wasted our time. The inside has an interesting look and feel but they at least played some good music. We went for Sunday brunch around 11:30. The server was a bit slow, and it wasn't extremely busy. I ordered the fish and grits and my sister got the shrimp and grit balls. None of it was seasoned, with MAYBE the exception of the Cajun sauce that came in both dishes. If you're like me, you know it's not hard to even lightly season seafood or even grits, so it was disappointing the flavors, or lack of, that we got. Will we be back? Eh idk. It was close to my sister's house so that was the only plus.

I really wanted to see if things had improved since my last visit with a large party. Unfortunately, it still feels like a place with potential that's not being supported properly. When we walked in, I thought things had turned around. The new host (her first day) was amazing warm, confident, and professional. She gave a great first impression. But once seated, it went downhill. * The music was way too loud, to the point where we had to lean in just to talk. * There was only one server working the entire restaurant, which meant slow service, long waits, and a stressed-out vibe. Let's talk food: The fish and grits (see photo) were phenomenal easily the best thing I've had on both visits. Creamy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chicken and waffles (see photo) were average. Chicken was seasoned okay, but the waffle was a bit underwhelming and slightly rubbery. This place could be a standout in the area the branding, the menu ideas, the food (when it hits) are all there. But the inconsistency, staffing issues, and volume level hold it back. Would I come back? Maybe, for the fish and grits. But only if I hear they've fixed the basics.

Warning: It's not a beautiful space. It looks completely old and run down. They stopped seating customers during Covid and never looked back. (I guess we're too much work ). Truly ghost town looking building. But damn if it don't hit my "I need some good grits and bacon" itch every single time! Eggs, grits (both with or without cheese) Bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, ham, country fried steak, delicious pancakes, biscuits... I don't remember it all. You can have a plate of food or just order a meat of your choice with biscuit to go. The only missing piece on their menu is fried fish. And while their biscuits are very good, 8/10, nothing beats a Bojangles biscuit. The drive-through line was long - on a Thursday at 10 am. So I parked and walked in. There are a few chairs to sit in as you wait. The service is competent. Not particularly friendly but not at all rude. Just handling business. They busy y'all! So why doesn't the business invest in their building? Why is the sign so sun burned and the chairs look like they came from some back room in granny's church? It's not like they are hurting for business. They have folks wrapped round the drive-thru. Work trucks on idle waiting to get their fix. Oh! Check my receipt again. $8.57 for decadent cheese grits, fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a biscuit. So .... they haven't raised prices to ridiculous amounts under the guise of "inflation" like everybody else! ? That must be why! I won't complaint. I'll skip the long line, order at the counter, happily get my southern comfort breakfast in a styrofoam box, and hit the road. Every time. Granny's good good, southern breakfast!

This was probably the worst dining experience I have had in a long time…read more I put in a reservation 3 weeks in advance for Valentine's Day. Once we arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation, we were informed that they had a 30-minute wait for reservations. So we arrived at 5:40 p.m. And got seated at 6:30 p.m. when we had a 6:00 p.m. reservation. We went to the bar and ordered drinks in the meantime and they were pouring heavy which was nice since everyone was apparently 30 minutes behind on all reservations. Once we got to our table we ended up putting in our order immediately because we had all the time in the world to look over the menu. I ordered the surf and turf filet mignon with lobster tail medium-medium rare. My wife ordered the ribeye steak rare. While we waited for our food, we had a jumbo shrimp appetizer which was really good. The issue was that we watched people come in after us who got seated after us who got their food before us. The ambiance was nice. But they didn't seem exceptionally busy. If anything, they just seemed like they had a normal full night. There was not an exceptionally long line or anything of people waiting. They had plenty of staff on hand. We were told that the weight was due to the fact they were busy. But nothing else. So I have no idea if it was a lack of cooks or what, but the wait time was so long. We finally got our food at 7:55 p.m. And my wife's steak was cooked too long and it was cooked medium and not rare. We told them we didn't want to send it back if it was going to take super long for it to be redone and we believe that's the only reason it came out so fast. This was supposed to be a romantic night out but it ended up just making us both really frustrated and annoyed. We chose a locally owned restaurant we had never been to. But with how the experience was, we could have gotten a better experience at Olive garden which is really depressing to say. The one highlight, was our server Di'el as she was quite attentive and apologetic. But management never stopped by our table to provide an answer as to why our reservation didn't matter and we had to wait 30 minutes. No apology for the meal being cooked wrong. We did not order a dessert given that the rest of the meal and experience went so poorly. I don't think we would ever go back.
