I recently visited Buttermilk Biscuit, and I truly see the potential this new, small establishment has to become a neighborhood favorite. Let me start with the positives--the food was great and clearly prepared with care, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. You can tell the team wants to deliver a good experience, and that matters. That said, the management direction felt lackluster, especially for a business still establishing its footing. With a few operational tweaks, the overall experience could improve significantly. Some constructive suggestions:    *   Consider hiring a busboy or table runner to help turn tables and keep the dining area clean. This would greatly support your waitstaff.    *   We were seated directly in front of the kitchen, and food on the floor was visible, which should never be part of the guest experience.    *   The bar area should be a focal point, not an afterthought. The bar was left unattended and dirty, despite having four seats that could easily generate additional revenue.    *   Assigning one person to manage the bar and run drinks to tables would free up servers and improve service flow.    *   The hostess was wearing too many hats, which can lead to burnout and inefficiency. These are all fixable issues. With clearer management direction and a bit more structure, Buttermilk Biscuit has the potential to become a long-standing staple in the Lithonia community. I'm rooting for your success and hope these suggestions are received in the spirit they're intended--supportive, constructive, and encouraging growth. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The wait to get into the restaurant was long, and once seated, the wait for our food was even longer. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. Service issues added to the frustration. Our server forgot several items we specifically requested, yet we were still charged for them. When we pointed it out, it felt rushed rather than genuinely addressed. The physical condition of the restaurant was also concerning. Our table was wobbling, and instead of fixing it properly, a rag was placed underneath to stabilize it. There were also noticeable rags behind the bar that appeared to be dealing with some kind of leak, which didn't inspire confidence in cleanliness or maintenance. On top of that, the restaurant felt overcrowded and too small for the number of guests they seat. The front door was left open due to heating and air issues, making the dining area uncomfortable. Overall, between the long waits, cold food, forgotten items, questionable maintenance, and uncomfortable environment, this was not an experience I would recommend. Had an amazing brunch experience today! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the fried fish shrimp and grits, and it did not disappoint--the fish was perfectly seasoned and crispy, and the grits were creamy and delicious. The $5 mimosas were a great bonus! The atmosphere was inviting, clean, and had a really nice aesthetic that made the whole experience even better. What stood out the most was the customer service. Our waitress Anitre was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. If you're looking for a good brunch spot with great food, affordable drinks, excellent service, and a nice vibe, I definitely recommend checking this place out. I came early morning on a weekday...Wednesday (Dec. 10th 2025) to be exact and the service was amazing! I was greeted by the General Manager Ashley and her professionalism and kindness was astounding! She was my server for the morning and her service was top tier! The deviled eggs appetizer was great as well as the coffee and Garden Harvest Omeelet! The Grits are the bomb! I was reluctant to order them because I didn't want to feel sluggish but they are amazing and are not heavy at all! They are a perfect blend of thickness and creaminess!! I drank coffee and co-worked. The music was amazing and I was able to get some work done. I had an amazing experience and I will be bringing my family back when I come the next time!!! read more

The food was amazing. Started with the appetizer fried green tomatoes. Omg....some of the best fried green tomatoes I have tasted in years. Then we had the biscuit bites, so good as well For our entree - catfish, shrimp, & grits was 10 out 10, very favorable. For me I just needed a little more sauteed spinach. Next entree was the buttermilk biscuit n sausage gravy - 10 out of 10. Hubby was very pleased. Now let's talk about the serves. Top tier. Our server Emeral was pleasant and very tentative. This is a great place to dine in.. this is a elegant upscale breakfast place to just relax and enjoy a laid back but vibrant atmosphere.. the good is great and is presented well.. it looks fantastic, and your stomach will be very happy.. how long is it located just about a mile from stonecrest Mall, inside this very open business complex, with adjoining restaurant to choose from.. but please come here first and you will be happy you did. First time guest. Ordered at 11:45, finished dining at 12:20. Promptly greeted and sat. Server, Kentha perfectly described the menu. I settled on Slammin Salmon Grits. yesss Lawd. Inquired about health dept score. Satisfied with the response. Always room for improvement but my initial response is I'm definitely satisfied. Tables and floor were clean and the music is delightful: soft rnb vibe. Do yourself a favor, five them a try. First timers at this breakfast place and I give it 5 ! When we entered we were greeted with kind smiles! This place is very welcoming with numerous people asking us how everything tasted. Our waitress Nicole was outstanding! Bubbly and very kind! The food was outstanding!! The grits were delicious and not to mention the biscuits were homemade and amazing! Buttermilk Biscuit is a new location with a promising future! This was our first visit. The breakfast is absolutely delicious! All of it! I had the Morning Dish and my husband had the French Connection. The orange juice and coffee were fresh and hot. We enjoyed it all. Customer Service was also really good. This was my fiance and I first time at the restaurant we are most definitely coming back. The food was absolutely ahhhhhmazing!!! We tried the buttermilk biscuits trio, the fried green tomatoes, the shrimp & grits, and the meat lover's omelette. Everything was so delicious. The restaurant was nice with a very good vibe. This was a great choice for me and hubby. Nicole was our waitress and she is amazing! The biscuit bites (blueberry/lemon) deep fried with the 3 different jam choices (straw/bberry/peach) top tier. An urban restaurant in suburban Stonecrest aka Lithonia GA. I was heading to a routine franchise but I'm glad I turned in to the Buttermilk Biscuit instead. I was pleasantly greeted by Nicole, my waitress and server. I promptly decided that I would eat in and enjoy the atmosphere. Pulled up and the parking lot was packed on a rainy Saturday morning, but we didn't have any wait for a table. We started with the biscuit trio which was huge and filling. I got the early bird (chicken and waffles) and my husband got the pancake tacos. Both of us were surprised about the portion sizes when it came out, but the flavor was even more surprising.
