If I could give this dealership zero stars, I would!!!!…read more If you are considering buying a car from Alexander GMC of Simi Valley, save yourself the absolute nightmare and look elsewhere! We purchased a used vehicle from them, and within five days, it suffered a severe engine misfire while driving on the freeway, scary! Upon closer inspection, we discovered a major, pre-existing safety defect: A heavily chewed-through main wiring harnesses hidden underneath the engine cover. After a more thorough inspection, we found several areas under the engine cover that had also been chewed. It was completely obvious that rodent damage was present long before the car ever stepped foot on our property. The amount of dirt and dust was pretty concerning as well. (yes its a 20 year old car but what we found under the engine cover was very concerning) We immediately called and spoke with Juan Martinez and told him what we had found. He then tried to gaslight us telling us the damage was not there when they sold us the vehicle and asked where we were parking it. Insinuating that it was our fault and that the vehicle had been inspected and that wiring damage was not there. That they would have never sold us a car in this condition and it passed their used car re sale inspection. (impossible) He then began to call us "liars" and did not want to hear anything we had to say, over talking our every sentence. He told us we would need to have the vehicle towed to them so they could "inspect" it. The dealership did offer us a free generous 1 month 1,000K mile warranty (used car warranty) so we immediately pushed back. We explained the vehicle was not drivable and they would need to pick it up by tow. Juan refused and said that if we didn't tow the vehicle to them, (at 100% our cost) they would consider we were keeping the car. We live 80 miles from said dealership and advised we were not keeping it and they would need to make this right. We were not getting anywhere with Juan so we decided to send a formal demand letter via email along with undeniable photographic evidence, which BTW we never received a written response. It was addressed to owner Katie Alexander along with the Juan and Victor. The email must have gotten someone's attention because we received a phone call from Juan just 5 minutes after sending it. Victor had a big change of attitude (was actually nice this call) and agreed to take the car back and unwind us from the deal. Great!! You would think it ended there but it didn't. After agreeing to take the vehicle back the gaslighting started up again and we were called "liars" several more times. They got increasingly rude, kept calling us liars by claiming that a shredded wiring harness was somehow "normal wear and tear because the car is 20 years old" and that it all magically happened in the five days we owned it. We stayed professional and very calm because at this point, we just wanted out of this deal ASAP. I'd also like to add that they did not tow the vehicle back to the dealership, instead they had two young employees pick up the car to drive it back 80 miles to the dealership after we repeatedly told them it was unsafe to drive. We even showed the employees what was under the hood explaining the vehicle was extremely unsafe to drive, but the poor kid left in it. Now they have put their employee in the unsafe vehicle, shameful. They refused to admit responsibility for the junk they sold us. Lied from the start, completely unprofessional characters. Everything about this situation is unbelievable. But photos never lie!!! (see below) Dealerships like this rely on intimidation and deflection, hoping customers will just roll over. We are handling this through official channels with the California DMV Investigations Division and the Bureau of Automotive Repair, but future buyers deserve to know how they treat people the second a problem arises. DO NOT BUY FROM THE ALEXANDER group!!!! Do yourself a favor and take your business to a dealership with actual integrity. They are out there. This was the WORST car buying experience I have ever gone thru and that says a lot. Stay far away from Alexander GMC of Simi Valley. PICTURES NEVER LIE!!!!

In November 2024, my son, who was inexperienced and in urgent need of a vehicle, purchased a car from Tim, the owner and salesman at Apollo Auto. My son put his trust in Tim, believed he was getting a fair deal. Unfortunately, within less than three months, the car's transmission failed, leaving us stranded. When we reached out to Tim for assistance, he outright refused to help with towing. His only response was to say there was nothing he could do. When I confronted him about selling my son a car with such a critical defect, he offered to check with the previous owner about the warranty on the rebuilt transmission. I was infuriated. Why didn't he ensure there was a warranty prior to selling the vehicle? To add to this ordeal, my son had already experienced brake issues just a couple of months post-purchase. A mechanic informed us that the brakes were in dangerously poor condition when the car was sold, leading me to question Tim's ethics and the dealership's practices. It is unacceptable to sell a vehicle to a first-time buyer without regard for their safety or well-being. This situation has not only left my son feeling betrayed, but it also poses serious concerns for a parent. I am now considering legal action to hold Tim and Apollo Auto accountable for their actions. No one should endure deception from a dealership, especially when it places the safety of loved ones at risk. This is not just a bad purchase; it's a glaring reflection of a lack of integrity and responsibility from this dealership. I strongly urge Apollo Auto to reassess its business practices to prevent future customers from experiencing the same distress. We have been left without a reliable vehicle, which has severely impacted our family's ability to manage school and work. My son is stuck making a $400 monthly payment on a lemon, unable to afford another vehicle due to this terrible experience. During my first oil change and tire rotation, my car was returned with oil stains on the cream-colored interior. To their credit, they immediately offered to clean it. However, shortly afterward, both rear wheel center caps fell off, which had never happened before and I decided to let it go. My most recent visit was even more inconvenient. I dropped my car off for an oil change, tire rotation, and airbag recall service. Near the end of the day, I was informed that complications with the recall repair meant my car would need to stay overnight. I was initially offered a rental car, only to be called back and told none were available until the next morning. My vehicle ended up staying for over 24 hours, and I wasn't notified it was ready until 40 minutes before closing. When I picked up my car, I was also charged full price for an oil change despite being told my coupon had been applied. I had to call back later to have the difference refunded. Everyone I've spoken with has been courteous and apologetic, and I appreciate their efforts to make things right. However, customers should not have to repeatedly spend their own time correcting mistakes that could have been avoided with better communication and attention to detail. The dealership needs to improve its communication, follow-through, and overall organization, as the repeated lack of communication and forgetful errors have created unnecessary inconvenience. While I appreciate their willingness to fix problems, I would much rather see fewer problems happening in the first place.
