My AC quit working during this ridiculous heat wave.... I called the top 10 AC repair companies on yelp in the Temecula area, and only Buzcor and one other guy said they could be at my house the same day. Some other lady called and cancelled her appointment, and he thought it was my wife. Once I let him know that it wasn't, even though it was late in the evening, he still came out at 845pm!! We had a problem with the original HVAC system that came with the house (22 years old) on Friday evening. I called Buzcor on Saturday morning, and Jeremy offered to come over and provide an estimate free of charge! After determining what the issue was, it turned out to be extremely expensive to provide what would have amounted to a temporary band-aid to the existing system. Because of this, we decided to go ahead and replace the old system. Buzcor provided a great estimate and was able to get started on the job first thing Monday morning. Our AC went down, and Jeremy was here within 30 mins of hanging up the phone. This was a Friday in the late afternoon. The entire unit needed to be replaced and he couldn't get the part until the next morning. He was here bright and early the next day with a brand new unit. There was a small problem with our system and the the two didn't want to play nice later in the day. Again Jeremy came out as quickly has possible and went to work finding the issue and again knocked it out of the park. We called about five other places before we got to Buzcor, I wish their number would have been listed higher. Great guy, great work, great work ethic. My wife and I finally made a decision to replace our almost 14 years old R22 AC split system with the R401A system as parts for these are becoming scarcer and scarcer, notwithstanding the fact that its refrigerant is not being produced anymore. Utilizing Yelp as my source of prospective contractors to do the job, I called close to 10 HVAC companies with 5 star reviews to get a quote. I spoke to Jeremy and discussed with him what we wanted get done and he provided us with two price quotes: one with replacing our AC units (for upstairs & downstairs) and evaporator coils and another one to include replacement of the furnaces. I told him I'm going to get back with him. I then called the other contractors to secure similar quotes without mentioning to them what was quoted by the each and everyone. Suffice it to say that with close to ten quotes I got, Jeremy was easily the most affordable. His quote was double of what one contractor gave me while the rest gave me price quotes that were over $1K in price difference to replace our AC units and coils excluding the furnaces. Jeremy and his team did a wonderful job replacing our entire heating and cooling system. They are respectful, meticulous, deliberate and neat in their dismantling of the old system in our attic and backyard, while ensuring that the new ones were precisely installed. Jeremy tested the cooling charge of the new condensers (the refrigerant of which are factory prepackaged) added a couple more when found to be a bit low (which is sometimes the case, he tells us). He then tested everything after installation checking for possible leaks in the attic and outside, checked the coolness coming out of the various vents in the house and also tested the heater. Jeremy and crew only left when heater and AC were working as they're supposed to and after policing up the areas where they had worked. As for warranty, 10 years on parts for both condenser and coil and 20 years on the furnace. As far as labor warranty was concerned, we had originally agreed that he would give me two years for it. But when everything was installed and running smoothly, I kind of jokingly inquired while only 2 years warranty in labor, to which he proudly claimed that his job is as good as any contractor worth his salt, Challenged, he added three more years to our original agreement of two making it to 5 years of labor warranty. With a very affordable price and a very good job done (by the way, no down payment demanded prior to starting the job unlike some of the ones I talked to) Jeremy and his crew, deservedly are entitled to a 5-star rating. read more
