We were not driving the van as we were having huge snowstorms and the van was covered with 10" of snow. My husband and I are retired and did not have to go anywhere in the van. We also have 3 other vehicles that have 4 wheel drive. I finally took the van back on Feb 4th, and found it had a faulty valve stem which Boyd fixed. At that time they told me I needed the right lower ball joint replaced for $822. They did not mention that when I bought the tires. I went to buy the ball joint and was told that Boyd could not have done a front end alignment with a bad ball joint. I asked Boyd about it and they said that was correct, but acted like I ruined it after I got the alignment. That's when I went to check the mileage on the van. We usually put about 2500-3000 miles per year on our van. The speedometer said that we had put almost 600 miles on the van in less than 3 weeks while we had not been driving the van. They had listed the mileage as more than 500 miles less than we had started with. They said that was a typo, but was it? If they take 500 miles off of every customer's mileage, then if you have a problem with your tires, they will say that you have put 500 miles more on the tires than you actually did. They agreed to refund my money for the front end alignment, but it has been over 2 months and every time I call them it's the same story. The check will be coming from the main office. It should have been here in a week. It's been 8 weeks and no check. Make sure you che k your mileage before you buy tires and do not ask them for a front end alignment.

Several years ago I had a major problem, took the car in, and they gave me a quote that it would cost around $550. When I picked the car up the next day, the charge was only around $350 - total. When I asked why the difference between the quote and the final charge, they said that they got the replacement part cheaper than expected. Keep in mind that I authorized a charge of $550, they could have charged me the full amount, but they only charged the real cost of the part plus labor. Totally honest folks!

He asked that I give him an opportunity to look into the situation further and he then he contacted me back. The employee offered an in person APOLOGY for what had transpired that night. Although his body language implied one thing his words said another. I explained this to the manager and how this could be viewed by others as not an honest apology. I told him that I was willing to accept the apology. The manager also offered a discount on the work that was performed. I still have yet to return as there were still many excuses offered for the behavior that as a manager should not have been offered nor overlooked. Management should have shouldered some of the responsibility themselves.

They had to pull it back in to the shop and take another hour doing that. And he got irritated with me like it was my fault or something. Then came to discover when I went to put new brake pads on the front that they had gotten carried away with the pneumatic wrench and tore the hell out of the wheel stud and lugnut, cross-threading it on really hard.

He said he couldn't give me a price until after he looked at the tire to make sure there wasn't a leak from a puncture. Truck goes up on the rack and the tire comes off. Comes back and said it will be $80 to replace the valve stem. I said I think that's a little high I'll go somewhere else. Comes back 5 minutes later and says his employee already started replacing The valve stem so there would be no charge. Oops on his part. Woke up this morning and my tire was flat. Took it to a different shop who found a puncture and leak. Mr Tire never checked for a leak. Just wanted to charge me $80 for the valve stem. Beware of Mr tire.

A friend stopped by and pumped air into it, and I drove it directly to the NTB store for repair. I don't have road hazard on my tires, but less than 8000 miles on them. They said my sidewall was shot and I had to buy another tire. When I told them it was either manufacturer defect or installed wrong, they ignored me. I didn't have a choice, having things I had to get done. I literally had to buy another tire, to replace the one THEY sold me and installed that didn't last 8000 miles. I wouldn't go back to them for anything.
